It is like a broken record. (For those of us that remember vinyl). The solutions are obvious and have been stated by myself, yourself SCC, and many others on this site. Until we are fully staffed, and the police are allowed to do their jobs, with cooperation rather than hinderance from the States Attorney's office and the community, things won't change.

Off topic but im sure everyone is aware of the LA Clippers owner Donald Sterling's racist remarks. While I do find them deplorable, im bothered that no one in the media has brought up the fact that he was recorded without his consent in the privacy of his own home. It's not like he was speaking to large crowd in a public setting, he was talking to his gold digging tramp girlfriend IN HIS HOME where there is an expectation of privacy. I feel bad for the guy and im Mexican.
I believe that one of the most significant mistakes made was the tearing down of all the project buildings. Where once the problem was somewhat localised and contained it has now infected all of the city and much of the adjacent areas. That, along with myopic liberal thinking, governmental criminality, law enforcement deconstruction, middle class exodus, and race based thuggery guarantee the continued decomposition of this city no matter who ineptly helms this PD or which psychotic troll inhabits city hall.

Contact cards? Just last week at roll call we were told that we can ONLY do contact cards on individuals that we believe have committed or are about to commit a crime and it MUST be substantiated. Thats it, no one else! Now granted, in some parts of the city this means any person out after 2200 hrs, but in parts that are actually civilized goose eggs are now the norm. And ANOVs, really? Most of the shitheads we know keep them only to have something to wipe their ass with.

Gone from the list are robberies from January 29, February 2, February 26, March 22, March 29, March 31, April 4, and April 5. As of this morning, none of those incidents' case numbers appear anywhere in the city data base, meaning that they are gone completely, not simply reclassified.

The plan would allow any PO to work a four hour extension on the beginning or end of their watch if they work in a "target" district. Basically, 11, 15, 10, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. If there are not enough cars, the PO volunteer would be assigned to a foot post.
Anyone not assigned to those districts would not be eligible for this program.

4/5th Watch sent to an impact zone on a bus route. All CTA will be in uniform starting June 1. All CTA changes per the SUP and ComStat Staff.
We were told at a recent roll call that 35h St has stopped using/including Weekend shooting/homicide numbers in their stats if they happen after 8a.m. Sunday morning.

In other words if a judge is considered the king of the court and is immune to civil action then the"knights" of the court which are police that are expected to deal with the civilians and enforce law and keep order .... SHOULD have some extent of immunity granted as a peace officer!
Someone (National FOP in conjunction with some congressmen from various states) should make it their main objective to carry the issue to congress.
Until then we are on our own to decide how to handle situations and the outcome can and will be disasterous for one and all.
This is and should be a major concern for our National FOP. It concerns all police and their families and the CITIZENS we are expected to serve!

Danny Davis is a card-carrying member of the Communist Party USA. Illinois is loaded with closet-Commies in Politics, mostly Democrats, but a few Repubs also.
I am one happy camper. Boy there sure are a bunch of unhappy, whiny people in this department. The solution is simple. Do what you are told to do by the boss. That is it. My boss wants contact cards and anovs. So I give it to them. My activity is spectacular. In return I get c/u whenever I want.
I can promise you, if the police were allowed to be the police then the bad guys would not be so bold. But this is what society wants. They want the kinder, gentler police. Well you got your wish.
We need common sense reforms. For example, in certain states, they have statutes called "failure to comply". If you fail to comply with a lawful order you can get tasered. What exactly can majority of the black community do? McCarthy mentions it every week. SCC has mentioned it countless times, the media has reported on it twice this past week. What am I talking about? Criminals back on the street before they even hit County. I'm sure this has also been said millions of times: "what the black community can do is easier saidsaid than done", simply because of what is repeated weekly about this states laws-- or lack there of-- or what ever the hell is going on now a days. Just watched Judge Jeanine show on chicago violence. Hope she stays on it and follows-up with more. She chewed out Davis and spit him out and then did it again. Wish she ran things around here.
Year to date we have more murders than last year. 97 last year 100 this year. I predict we'll hit 190-200 by the end of june 300+ by the end of summer. It's sad. Also sad that you can predict these things going off "patterns". Patterns over the past 8 years say May and June usually have 45-50 murders each. July and August: 50-55+.

I would like to see the percentage of Chicago police who are registered voters or take the time to vote.
