Planting Cell Phones?

Evidently, some defense lawyer realized that every cop can't be carrying around guns to plant on people who get shot - the sheer number of guns necessary to pull off this fantasy would necessitate at least one gun being found to have been planted in the past 30 years. So now the narrative has been altered:
  • A Chicago man claims he was unarmed and posed no threat when police officers shot him from behind after a cookout in the South Chicago neighborhood last year.

Ortiz Glaze, 36, filed a federal lawsuit against the city and several Chicago police officers Tuesday, alleging those officers later planted a silver cellphone with his belongings to justify wounding him in the back of his left arm and back of his left thigh on April 30, 2013.
And how did this all come about?
  • On April 30, 2013, Glaze manned the grill during a cookout to honor a deceased friend near 88th and South Burley, the lawsuit said. People began arriving around 3 p.m., it said, and a group of police officers arrived in three squad cars around 9 p.m.

The police union said at the time the tactical officers on routine patrol stopped when they passed a group of known gang members there.

The lawsuit contends one of those officers got out of a squad car and fired a gun — possibly as a warning shot. Glaze and other startled people in the crowd ran away, it said.
Because cops always pull up and fire off a round to start people running. That makes as much sense as planting a phone to shoot someone, because cell phones are so much more ubiquitous than pistols.

How about this - a gang "repast" for a previously deceased banger was attended by all sorts of people, some of whom brought along their heaters in case the people who did the shooting last year show up. The cops recognize a potential problem in the offing, spot known gang bangers, stop to investigate, and the armed subjects start running, passing off guns to girlfriends, rabbits and shorties. Mayhem ensues.

What I got from this is that now CPD officers are shooting for the arms and legs. Used to be they shot for center of mass. Now since some have been spending more time on the range practicing, they are good enough to aim or and hit arms and legs. Good going guys.

Funny. Nobody was shot at the NRA show in Indy this past weekend. Indiana allows open carry too. I suppose that when you have human beings who act responsibly, there is no trouble. When you have socialists scum who make excuses for the products of their failed policies, you have Chicago.

The old "planted cell phone". I like this one best as it's less common than the planted gun, planted drugs or even planted money claims.

My favorite was always "da poleece ain't neva gave me my green piecea papeuh fo da money dey took, dats how come I gots dis punkinhead".

This here just sounds like some bottom-feeding scumbag lawyer has read the LaTanya Haggerty case transcripts.

RULE 3.3 Conduct Before a Tribunal
(a) In appearing in a professional capacity before a tribunal, a lawyer shall not:

Blah Blah Blah. More garbage thrown down the throats of the public. Like we don't have families and friends. Screw this BS OT. The city can keep paying all this OT, but can't pay their amount to our PENSION! IMO keep all these initiatives and beef up the PENSION. A received gun from D. A received help from E.

Now B1 (family and friends of B) will get revenge on A, D, E.

A, D, E are all in jail. So B1 will get revenge on A1, D1, E1.

C and C1 will make attempts to protect C and will possibly join B1.

Also possible B2 (incarcerated family and friends of B) will get revenge on A, D, E from within confines of jail.

A, D, E are screwed.

The one I like best is the young scholar in New Orleans who was shot and killed during gym class in high school by another banger. While being placed on the tray at the morgue a Glock fell out of his waist band and his momma went on to claim during a news interview that the po-lice planted the Glock on him. I never understood her logic in this claim unless she was under the impression that she could still sue the police for her son's death.

If two Democratic lawmakers have their way, Barack Obama’s Justice Department will submit a report for action against any Internet sites, broadcast, cable television or radio shows determined to be advocating or encouraging “violent acts.”

This according to the text of a new bill from Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., and Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y.

The Hate Crime Reporting Act of 2014 “would create an updated comprehensive report examining the role of the Internet and other telecommunications in encouraging hate crimes based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or sexual orientation and create recommendations to address such crimes,” stated a news release from Markey’s office.

Drinking in alleys to be made "trendy" --

Loop alley pop-ups bring parties to underused spaces -- Chicago Loop Alliance aims to stoke excitement about downtown neighborhood

7:34 a.m. CDT, May 1, 2014

"Where some might see a grimy Loop loading dock, promoters of the vibrant business district see an opportunity to encourage people to stay, play — and spend money.

"On Thursday, the Chicago Loop Alliance, which represents the downtown area, begins a series of urban pop-up events, sometimes called placemaking. The idea is to entice people, and possibly developers, to explore overlooked parts of the neighborhood and stoke excitement about its potential.

"Thursday night's event, in an alley that cuts through the Sullivan Center on Monroe Street, between State Street and Wabash Avenue, is the first of five monthly alley transformations this year in which Loop alleys will be filled with art, music, food and drinks.

"It reorients people to how cool the Loop is, because they're seeing it from a different place," said Mike Edwards, executive director of the alliance. So that the event doesn't include uninvited residents — rats — particularly gross alleys will be power-washed..."

The author is hyperventilating. Listen to this worn-out, cliche-filled nonsense.

"Placemaking, around since the 1960s and now a global trend, reimagines public spaces to help strengthen the connection between people and their communities, facilitate social interaction and stimulate business."

Those weren't "underused spaces" before; people were busy WORKING at loading/unloading trucks full of supplies, materials, merchandise...

More sleek, heavy sedans and fine suits for "reverends" and "community activists" and "interrupters" and "mentors," more silly ball caps and T-shirts for their brainless followers to march around in, chanting "Stop The Violence" that their own shorty is doing right down the street -- more characters with grants to produce "four-part documentaries" about "showing love to the bangers," more do-nothing fools still hangin on the corner except wearing green safety vests now, probably slingin right under the "Safe Passage" signs and non-working camera pods.

Feds looking at Quinn's anti-violence program

12:48 p.m. CDT, May 1, 2014

"SPRINGFIELD -- Federal authorities have requested information about Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn’s $55 million anti-violence initiative that has drawn fire for mismanagement and misspending

"One source, asked about the breadth of the investigation, said the federal authorities have asked for “copies of all contracts and all payments” of Quinn’s...Neighborhood Recovery Initiative. A second source said records were sought by federal authorities based in Springfield.

"...Quinn launched the program in the final weeks of his 2010 campaign, sending dollars he contends were aimed at fighting crime but that Rauner contends was a “slush fund” to gin up the Democratic vote.

“We have been contacted by the U.S. Department of Justice regarding the Neighborhood Recovery Initiative,” said Brad Hahn, spokesman for Republican Comptroller Judy Baar Topinka..."

Isn't it more easy to find the owner of the phone and who called who last Than the use of a gun, though silver phones can pose as handguns in emergency situations,I've heard a lot and seen a lot, just retired after 27 years of service with Cpd,and once I witnessed a verbal altercation in traffic,or what is today called road rage, combatants exited their vehicles at a red light mind you,one with a baseball bat and one with a car jack, but what he did with the car jack was very unique .....he propped it onto his shoulder and aimed it at the gentleman with the baseball bat and ,you should have seen how fast he jumped back into his car and sped off,I being the competent officer that I am called it in to get help against this Uzi toting road raging, offender, who was surrounded a few block away to discover it was a car jack, that he said he had used numerous times to challenge other combatants, and worked most times, lucky for him I didn't shoot first and ask questions later!

It is not just The White Sox and U.S. Cellular Field. They won't let you bring your gun into Soldier Field and United Center either. The NFL has had this policy for years, and everyone has to comply or they are denied admittance, Feds included. (The Bears and Soldier Field were the last to comply). Eventually all Major League Baseball Stadiums will have the same policy if they don't already.

Nice try dumbass - "merit" is a use-it-or-lose-it proposition. They don't get to carry over unused totals and for actual promotions, they are required to "round down" if it isn't an even 30%.....so a class of 10 has 3 "merits." So does a class of 11.

To the second poster: What's management going to do? Throw us off the top of the roof of the station? All you can do is spar us and I have never heard of anyone being fired from this job for being late or out of uniform. Take your Aesop's Fables book and shove it up your ass you gelding.

"Now,...planting a phone booth was a real trick. Had to get one of the wagon crews involved."

I dunno. Saw surveillance-camera footage of two guys tearing an ATM out of a store. Took 'em 14 seconds. Box found somewhere later, all money gone.

Retired with 30 plus years on job and did the vast majority being of tac trams, the old gang crimes unit, narcotics and a city wide dick.

I always had eagle eyes while on the street. Seen about eberything a cop could see.

But I NEVER seen a copper plant a gun on a mutts if the police shot him or not, NEVER. Even for a UUW.
Same with dope ! NEVER.

I seen copper' find a gun hidden near where some banger' were hanging. The gun was recovered and inventoried under a lost and found GOCR. It did not even cross the copper' mind to pinch one of the thugs for the gun.

No one hiy yhe shitter but the mutts were not happy losing a gun cause they did not know how to conceal it better. Seen this a few times, these mutts all were pissed about it. They would of felt better if the fool that hid the gun fessed up and went to jail.

The street' are not like the cop shows. If you cap a mutt who might shot you., all is good. His gun is recovered, he hits the slab, his mama files a suit, she get' her half of the 5 K from the city and the banger is sleeping down under the dirt.

Nice try dumbass - "merit" is a use-it-or-lose-it proposition. They don't get to carry over unused totals and for actual promotions, they are required to "round down" if it isn't an even 30%.....so a class of 10 has 3 "merits." So does a class of 11
________

Actually not true. The overall total has to be 30%, the percentage merit in each class can vary.

If Illinois had a law which made those who filed frivolous law suits, pay for the court fees, you would see a dramatic drop in filings by ignorant sharks like Russell Ainsworth. My apologies for stating, ignorant and sharks, it sort of goes hand and hand.

OT What is going on over at FOP? Has Angelo replaced or named the inside guys. Is Geiger still there or has a new lawyer been named.
Checked FOP website , nothing on there.
Would be nice if the new guy would keep the members up to date.

Heard a couple things. They got rid of everyone over their that were any good at what they do. A elected official who is currently being sued by the FOP for money handling is in charge of the FOP money handling. The lawyer who negotiated the failed sgt contract is been seen there on several occasions. Another lawyer who previously was fired for multiple serious reasons has been seen there several times as well. Business as usual I guess.

If you plant cell phones now, they ought to be knee high by the fourth of July. All those rows of little cell phones. Plenty of water, some fertilizer, get 'em planted now...

Do like the Israelis...

Plant cell phones on the West and South sides spiked with a smidgen of Semtex...

Then call them all over a span of 3 minutes...
Chicago will sound like microwave popcorn popping....
