Vegas, Canada Shootings

  • An armed man and woman shouting about a "revolution" opened fire and killed two Las Vegas policemen who were eating lunch in a pizza parlor on Sunday, then fatally shot a civilian in a nearby Wal-Mart store before killing themselves, police said.

The two uniformed patrol officers, later identified as Alyn Beck, 41, and Igor Soldo, 31 - both family men - were ambushed without provocation shortly before 11:30 a.m. local time inside a CiCi's Pizza shop, authorities said.
Nightmare scenario - after killing the cops and stealing their weapons, they killed a bystander and proceeded to the back of Wal-Mart where the female killed her male companion and then suicided herself. Both Officers were married, Beck with 3 children, Soldo with a newborn.

Thoughts and prayers for our Las Vegas colleagues and their families.

And the murderer of 3 Canadian Mounties was apprehended this weekend:
  • More than a day after Canadian police launched a massive manhunt for a shooter who killed three officers, authorities early Friday arrested the man believed to be responsible for the shootout in a residential neighborhood.

Justin Bourque, 24, was arrested at 12:10 a.m. local time in Moncton, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police reported on Twitter. The town of around 70,000 residents is in the province of New Brunswick, where homicides are rare.
Again, prayers for our north-of-the-border fallen.

I hear stories like these and I think back to the last line in the movie Seven:

Ernest Hemingway once wrote, "The world is a fine place and worth fighting for." I agree with the second part.

I just don't know, it seems like everyone has gone mad.

RIP Officers.

Oh my God!
There but by the grace of God go I.

I hate the idea of leaving my family behind over some job gone wrong; knowing that myself or a brother could be lost doing our job, but this is heart breaking. Ambushed by some assholes while just eating lunch.
I pray for the families of these officers and hope the offenders are burning for all time.

Back in 1977, long before I became and retired as a copper, my very liberal Sociology class professor said the more angry the population is with government, the more they take it out on law enforcement. He pointed out the turbulent 1960s and the number of coppers killed in Chicago. We lost a lot of guys in the late sixties.
We're all angry with our leaders today; it's not just the poor. The middle class (what's left of it) is angry. The upper class is angry (they ain't that "upper"). On the other hand, the "one percent" is happy.
Some will point out that the civilians aren't that angry because we haven't gone to a lot of murdered coppers funerals. That's true, but officer in lover shootings are way up. If it weren't for the vests, better firearms training, and weapons along with miracles performed in a modern trauma center, we'd lost more coppers.

Two Key Pts. that most of the Media is ignoring:(Source Las Vegas Review Journal) 1. Sunday all available officers were asked to come in to work and Two Person Patrols were put into affect. An admission that the One Officer Patrol is apparently too dangerous to continue at this time. 2. A citizen with a Concealed Carry Permit engaged the offenders and may have wounded one of them. The loss of these officers is something everyone of us must consider. The suicidal bitch came up behind one of the officers who was refilling his soft drink and shot him in the head. Then they opened up on the other officer as he drew his weapon. He may have gotten some shots off, but the first officer did not have a chance. Be Careful These Are Dangerous Times.

The suspects then grabbed the officers' weapons and ammunition and stormed out of the pizzeria, Assistant Sheriff Kevin McMahill told KVVU Fox 5. The Review-Journal reported that the pair covered the officers with a cloth that featured the Gadsden flag, which features a coiled snake with the words "Don't Tread on Me." Both officers were pronounced dead at University Medical Center.

When I heard of this tragedy on the news yesterday, my heart broke. To all you police officers out there, please keep safe. Shame on the mayor for not adding more police
to it's force. The pension for these officers lay in his lap, he inherited Daley's mess, now do the right thing by your police officers.
Cut the double dipping, gold braid bill, and the nonsense spending like the Obama school and library, Obama has enough private contributors who would want to be part of his legacy. Also, Maggie Daley can wait for a park. Let her family pay for it from the money that his nephew was given from the police pension fund for his real estate venture.
I have a child on the force, not here but elsewhere. I pray that you all come home safely to your loved ones.

Last year a hostess at the Excalibur casino was shot and killed in the middle of the casino at 8pm. Primetime. Shooter? Came in from Illinois.

Supposedly they both died in a suicide pact. But hopefully Metro got in and delivered some of their own justice before these roaches died.

The RIGHT:
the Alex Jones', The Timothy McVeigh's,the assholes in Vegas yesterday, the Mancow's, the Randy Weavers, the Branch Dividians, etc.

There is a time to talk and a time to shoot, CCW doesn't always equate with knowing what to do tactically in an active shooting situation. The paper says he confronted the man but did not realize the female was also a shooter and she killed him. He needed to start shooting right away and to begin moving. If shot are being fired it's bombs away.

Daley kept them disarmed. Rahm just continued the practice. Icky guns, you know.

They have to go to our range and carry their guns and leather and qualify yearly. They just cannot carry. If they determine that an armed presence is needed, as usual, they must call for CPD.

Great, huh? In Europe the police all carry automatic weapons. They have had attacks at airports and have had to mop up after bloodbaths. But the liberal anti-gun nuts cannot conceive of an armed attack at an airport terminal happening here. That is because they put up the gun decals with the red circle and line through the gun. That transcends language differences and will keep them out lest they be in violation of Illinois Statute. They can be fined or possibly get a few minutes in jail!

Correction, the "bystander" that the lamestream media keeps reporting was actually an armed citizen who was looking for a clear shot to engage the male shooter. The female half blindsided him and shot him in the side before he got a shot off.

He was one of the armed citizens that tried to do the right thing and got killed for his trouble. Of course the media is going to downplay this as much as possible since it doesn't fit with their agenda that all guns in non law enforcement hands are bad.

Police hunt BEE-AY-DEE motherfuckers...

Sometimes... BEE-AY-DEE motherfuckers HUNT BACK!

It's good to scan a place before entering...

Jokers are wild and that's your hand you gotta play when Joker walks in on you while you're eating...

Dat m/fer with his eyes spinning in his head like a slot machine.

>Lemon-Lemon-Lemon<
-DING!-

Whither Thus & What Now?

A tactical plan seldom if ever survives initial
comtact without revision of some sorts...

Always have an eye toward saving yourself/making yourself a hard target...

The first step is not giving a fuck about what Mistuh & Mz. Salary Payah get their noses out of joint about. They never had to fight for their lives... Policemen have and are experts at it.

It's your hide... How much do you value it?

It is always good to be prepared but I don't care how ready you are if you are the person the killer picks to be 1st and they are not afraid to die there is not much you can do. It's just bad luck.

Once upon a time, Policemen were considered too damned dangerous to approach... Especially with that silly "Well, I pay you guys salary!"

Chicago Policemen are compelled to eat entirely too much guff.

We miss those days.

Two assholes from Indiana. Dressing up like clowns. They threatened to shoot up the DMV there last year. The poor ccw carrier tried to intervene but the broad shot him from behind.

These two also were at the Bundy ranch involved in the BLM confrontation. How many wack jobs do you think were there?

All of them were wack jobs.

=================
Wrong kids. The two deviants were on the outer perimeter of the Bundy Ranch, never entered property... which the constitutional militia inside called the fruit and nut bunch of dissenters anarchists who showed up protesting on outskirts. Anyway, the couple were remembered as the man mentioned he had a prior felony, but wanted to help. The gal was toting a shotgun. It was understood then the liability they posed to the cause and they were turned away.

"I never ate at any restaurant where I felt I had to have my gun drawn. Always in "Condition Yellow", scanning the place before I entered and everything inside.

If you had to eat with your gun on your drawn and on your lap would be too dangerous for more what might walk in the door on two legs."

6/10/2014 01:12:00 PM<<<

What was meant by that was that I was always aware of my surroundings and ready to react. That's "Condition Yellow.

"...too dangerous for what may walk in the door on two legs."
May be badly worded but such a restaurant might serve up salmonella or ptomaine.
