- Speaking of voting Monday August 6th 7pm @ Steve's lounge, That little neighborhood of Hegewisch is having the vote for the new board of directors of the baseball league the cop killer was coaching in.
Guess what the one remaining board member rigged the election and has the old board wives running.
He rejected the slate of police and firemen that wanted to run the league.
Babe Ruth international DID NOT change the background rules so guess who will be a coach next year yup and now they have legal defense to stop any attempt to remove him. Great turn out that night for nothing.
Is this true?
UPDATE: Obviously, the writer meant October. And obviously, the remaining board member has studied Machine politics if he can rig an election this way.

Sign the kids up to play in some other program.
How about everyone who is against this guy coaching, don't send your kid to be coached by him. No one to be coached, no job.
Take your kids out and start your own league.
Why would these parents want this convicted killer coaching their kids? Maybe they need to ask themselves, do we want to prove a point at the expense of my child.

Now the police and fire have to fight back with an old tried and true formula. Stop patronizing the businesses that are donating to the league. I am probably one of the top three Pudgy's Pizza fans, but I will not buy one of their pizzas until Dean Chavez has nothing to do with the league. I will make the owner aware of this situation and will call other businesses amd express my displeasure.

If you don't want your kid coached there, start your own little league. Just make sure you are all seriously committed to this before you travel down this road.

Much as I wish it wasn't true, this is probably the most effective way to make the change happen.
People's bank accounts are more important to them than doing the right thing. Affect their bank account and they'll do the right thing by default.
