Florida Drive-By Attempt

  • Two Pasco County Sheriff’s Deputies were targeted by a drive-by shooter early Sunday in the central Florida town of Dade City according to the Tampa Bay Times.

The deputies were parked in their respective squad cars in a church parking lot when three shots were fired at them from a passing vehicle around 3:30 a.m., according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office. The deputies said they heard the bullets as the passed near them. Neither deputy was wounded.

The deputies did not ID the vehicle but neighbors reported hearing the shots and seeing a ‘small dark vehicle with tinted windows in the area at the time of the incident.’

The deputies’ names have not been released.
Um, why would they need to release the names of cops who got shot at and didn't even return fire?

We'll confess to having used the words "open season" on a few occasions to drive home the point that by pinning on the star, shield, badge, we are automatically targets for certain elements. But we must also say that those words don't nearly convey the situation going on nowadays. Be safe ladies and gents.

I'm appalled at the lack of respect for cops. I was brought up to learn that police authority is to be respected. If you aren't breaking the law, 99.9% of the time, cops won't bother you. If you do break a law, in traffic or the like, it's "yes sir" and "no sir" and you do what they ssy. You screwed up by breaking a law and got caught. Don't be a dick to cops. I worry about the safety of cops from these threats. I need cops, and want cops to protect my way of life from the pieces of shit out there. Stay safe out there, please. Thank you for your service.

Florida is like an old Clint Eastwood movie. The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.

And they all live next door to each other.

Glad they are OK, while obama could not jump on air-force 1 to interrupt his 1200 golf game to fly to New York for coppers funeral, he could not take the time to honor slain coppers but takes the time to invite scumbags like sharpton to the white house, the house us the taxpayers pay for!

Unfortunately, someone will find themselves unlucky... We are living in strange days, unfortunately, people tend to find reason that justify doing these type of things.

has anyone had any calls which some dumbass is backing you up, jacks up the call, then the person gets out of pocket and you got an arrest on your hands--- this is the justification I am talking about.

The crazies are coming out of the woodwork...

Pennsylvania police kill man whom they say tried to run them over

Published December 31, 2014

"Police in suburban Philadelphia said late Tuesday that they had shot and killed a man who attempted to run down officers in his car after they tried to arrest him for making threats against law enforcement.

"WTXF reported that police had identified the man as Joseph Pacini, 52, of Clifton Heights, Pa. Authorities said that Pacini had posted a video on social media threatening to kill police and FBI agents. The station reported that police had obtained an arrest warrant in relation to the threats and SWAT teams were en route to Pacini's apartment to serve it when he left in his car at around 4 p.m. local time.

"Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood said that officers stopped Pacini at an intersection in the town and ordered him out of his car. Instead of complying, Pacini backed into the Clifton Heights police chief's car and then prepared to run over other officers..."

Thank God we won't be getting a 60-degree El Nino warm New Year's Eve. It will be bad enough as it is.

Everyone stay extra safe.

Never forget the President and his Attorney General Holder put that bulls eye on the police officers in this Country. They had a lot of help from the Progressive Democrats too.

How do fuckheads like holder, Obummer, Al (Tawanna) Sharpton and Jesse with a criminal son make it to such lofty positions.
I went to college, served in a few wars, collected a PH or two, but I don't get to stand up there with these pussies who run the show.
Sickening.
My police father, R>I>P Dad, always said to me, you make sure your guys get home safe. Apparently these shitheads in NY and DC never heard my dad.
God Bless CPD and may you all have a safe and prosperous new year.Thank you for keeping my family safe since the powers at city hall think I should not do that. You are respected and waved to by my daughter. Like the old days.
Richard

two words:

hide in them.

Do NOT sit in the open, at night, with your dome light on. Two dangerous.

This happened a couple of days ago in Durham, North Carolina:
Officer J.T. West was said by police to be working on a report in his patrol car around 10 p.m. when he saw two Black men walking up behind him from an abandoned apartment building he was patrolling. As he got out to speak to the men one of them pulled out a gun from his waistband and opened fire on the officer. All six shots fired by the gunman missed the officer with one hitting the driver’s side door of the patrol car.

No words were exchanged with any of the three men.

The officer squeezed off two shots at the men while taking cover. The gunman and his accomplice ran off. It is not known if either was wounded.

Officer West injured his wrist diving behind a stairwell of the abandoned apartment building, according to police.

Please be safe out there. You are all loved and appreciated by soooo many good and decent people who know the dangers and risks you take everyday to keep us all safe. God Bless you all and keep you from harm.

This is not going to help with that whole demilitarize the police thing. They are doing it to themselves.

I'm expecting to see a roll back of overt actions of animosity toward the police. many civilians disagree with the assaults of cops and appreciate law and order, even the ones who get an occasional ticket. The country basically like cops and are supportive of them as a special group. Some even understand the entire concept of the Thin Blue Line and fully understand the paramount necessity of any city's fathers to support them and their work.

But I think the media has slightly learned from the assassinations of NYPD that their rhetoric and false narratives contributed to this and the general public doesn't like it one bit.

I look for a rollback of the anti-cop hatred rhetoric in the coming months, if not weeks.

The left and their handmaidens in the media have screwed the pooch and they know it. They went too far, and they share de Blasio's Sharpton's Obama's and Holders blood on their hands.

I pray I'm right.
