The exact same thing happened in Chicago in the 60's. Parts of the west side are the same they were after the rioting.
They need for the police to make more arrests and write more tickets.
They are anarchists at heart. Their mission is to tear a culture, economy and way of life down, so that they can rebuild it in their warped image.
He probably cannot even get insurance to cover his business for the next time they riot.
The lucky ones were burnt out and have a stake to relocate somewhere better.
Give it another year, maybe two, and Ferguson will be a mini-Detroit. Abandoned houses and businesses, a greatly shrunken tax base that cannot provide basic services. Ninety percent of the population will be on welfare.

Off the subject but let's not let Rahm of the hook with the scam he did with "Magic" Johnson.
Johnson donates 10 million bucks to the city for a summer jobs program through one of his companies,
Johnson donates 250,000 to the reelect Rahm fund through another of his companies.
Rahm does his own "Magic" and presto Johnson's 3rd company gets a 80 million dollar contract to clean the public schools.
Public school principals all complain that no one is cleaning the schools.
Not a peep from Eric Holder or Anita Alvarez
This would have been a "slam dunk" if "Magic turned white and Rahm turned republican!

It just feels like I am just sitting back and watching this slowly progress and can't think of anything that can be done to stop it.
There has to be SOMETHING that can be done. Ferguson could have easily been my town instead or anyone else's town on here.

I just hope the Republicans put up a strong candidate. Not a half-way person like McCain or Romney, but a real conservative.

Racial tensions have gone back to the 1960s in my view and one of these days, there is going to be a very bad battle.
Either that, or what will happen is states will turn Conservative - or ghetto. And funding for a welfare state will dry up because those who have been "footing the bill" will have moved out leaving "undocumented" immigrants and ghetto inhabitants. I'm retired but I believe that if I was on the job today, with less than ten years....maybe fifteen, I would walk away and never look back. The climate towards policing has so devolved in the last decade that I couldn;t tolerate the job. Now we have some drunken out of control college kid in W. Va. being taken down after resting arrest, who incurs a scratch and bump on his head and is now making national news.
What has this country become??
All its going to take is one single incident this summer in Chicago and things are going to erupt just like. Ferguson. And something WILL happen because thugs are still going to be doing all their regular stealing and killing.

You are describing Ferguson as it was BEFORE the incident. Did someone give you the impression it was full of working upper middle class residents a year ago? It wasn't.
Ferguson didn't learn from Detroit, or maybe they did. Fifty years after the riots in Detroit, it's still a burnt-out dump that attracts nothing but cockroaches and flies. Apparently, the people of Ferguson want the same for their community, hoping that lots of federal "free money" will come pouring in to "hep." I feel for the decent people who have lost homes, businesses and those who are trapped thanks to the thug element destroying property values. If Ferguson goes the way of Detroit, those homes will just be abandoned, the owners will take a huge loss and move on and the area banks will get stuck with worthless repos. The POTUS has under two years left to achieve his goal of a race war, and in my opinion ensure the eventual destruction of Israel.

The police in Virginia under fire because a drunk underage black kid pulled away from them and was subject to an emergency takedown which caused (GASP) ten stitches. Every chance they get the media identifies the officer as white and the defendant as black.
Do your job, help who you can, back each other up and enter into a school if there is a terrorist attack. But beyond that, if the apparently endangered species of the black male wants to act the asshole be prepared for the potential shitstorm to follow. And whatever you do, don't talk to the media. It is really a tossup at this juncture who is out to get us more, the media or the White House.

A lot of houses in 016 are over priced. You can't blame it all on the ghetto section 8 my friend. I mean a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, 1400 square foot house and they are asking $450,000? Now add a hefty mortgage and the rest of the expenses of owning a house and you are easily looking at paying $3000 to $4500 per month. Who the fuck can afford that? Home prices are too expensive.
The housing rates under Kozlar, Meegan, Garza, Napolitano, CH???????????.

I remember the first time I saw a head wound on a guy in the street. As I told my wife seeing that knucklehead "leader" on TV yesterday, those head wounds look much worse than they are. They bleed like crazy at first and after getting cleaned up like magic they look all right. Lots of blood in the head. Unless there is a fracture or internal brain swelling it is no big deal, just looks bad. Many policeman in 013/014 cleaned quite a few of them up themselves. In 014 the dressing was called the 14th District Turban.

The DOJ proved absolutely nothing except this. They could not nail Officer Wilson but they had to do something to justify the rioting. So they wrote this BS report that ripped the Ferguson PD.
Head wounds bleed a lot because their are multiple blood vessels right below the skin.No fat to cushion them. A lot of bleeding from a wound in the forehead means nothing. It looks MUCH worse than it really is.

True insanity rules today, that punk kid is the next ghetto lottery payout, was Iin Springfield visiting family, still in illinois watched the news they didn't report this nonsense, as a matter of fact chIcago news is not done there, it's more good news not the savages constantly getting news time, and all,the worthless ghetto drama! The thug resisted arrest threatened coppers, nothing to see here, unless you go to that Daley college style university!
Homes are too much in the city, especially on the northwest side. I foolishly purchased mine in Norwood Park at a high price and put money into it. When I retired I sold it for below what I paid for it. But it was worth it because I purchased a home out of state for almost half of what I sold my Chicago home for. Now I live in a much bigger home on an acre of land. My property taxes are the same as in Chicago which really means that they are half as what I paid in Chicago because of the bigger lot size and home. I receive no water bill as I have a well (which is fine), I receive no sewer bill as I have a septic system (which is fine), there is no tax on food, gas is cheaper but most importantly I see no one walking around with their pants sagging below their ass, I hear or see no one driving around with their radio blasting, I don't have to worry about wandering gangs of yutes pillaging and plundering and I don't care about "Rev" Ira Acree or what he says.
Life is good.
Best thing the city of Ferguson can do is buy up the properties that are destroyed and/or vacant and make parks out of them until such time as there is a need for the lots for building something useful.
Same thing Chicago and every other city with plenty of vacant properties should be doing.
