Two Federal Investigations?

  • Embattled Chicago schools chief Barbara Byrd-Bennett worked for a second contractor under investigation in a federal probe that’s rocked the Chicago Public Schools, records obtained by the Chicago Sun-Times show.

Byrd-Bennett — now on leave as a result of the federal probe — came to CPS after working for SUPES Academy, a Wilmette company that got a $20.5 million, no-bid contract to train Chicago school principals in 2013, shortly after Mayor Rahm Emanuel appointed her to head the city school system.
    '
But Byrd-Bennett also worked as a consultant for Synesi Associates, the Sun-Times has learned.

Like SUPES, Synesi has done business with CPS. Federal investigators have subpoenaed district records relating to Synesi and SUPES.
We certainly wish this had come out a few weeks earlier...like before the election.

She must have forgotten to do her ethics training.

It always amazed me that very little of that training applied to police officers....but they made damn sure we did it.

The people who should know the rules backwards and forwards? Not so much.

Rahms so smart he will lead the city out of recession!

Now if somebody would look into to the contract with the video cameras in the interrogations rooms at the Areas.

That hardware is ancient somebody is making a killing on 10 year old technology.

But what would Gary know he is a politician who does listening tours. Manage your department nitwit keep up with technology if you want to cut manpower!

And if you all don't know the number of line ups have dropped since filming them began...

Byrd-Bennet did NOTHING that other city employees and politicians have done in the past.
She is being fucked with purely for political reasons.
Remember Matt Rodriguez?
Golden boy, especially with the dearborne developments and the "others" he made wealthy.
When Matt fell out of favor the powers-to-be pulled out and played the Milito card. Circa 1997

Does anyone really believe that Matt was the only city employee hanging out with Milito?

Watch out ald-burky

Wait until the investigation of the Concept Charter Schools and CPS comes out, especially with vendor contracts. Not only will you have another charter school scandal, but, this one will include a CPS neighborhood school principal (Prosser Career Academy High School's former principal Kenneth L. Hunter)in the Belmont Cragin area.

Hunter was put made to go on a forced LOA in Dec. 2013 after he conspired with Prosser staff members to alter the Univ. of Chicago Consortium survey, which now is used to rate schools, to make himself look like a 'Principal of the Year ' candidate after he dirt low ratings the years before. Check out the link here:

http://www.dnainfo.com/chicago/20140522/belmont-cragin/prosser-staff-gamed-cps-survey-gave-hs-leaders-inflated-marks-sources

But, it doesn't stop there with Hunter as he secretly was involved in the Gulen Movement since 2003, a movement which has tie to the Concept Charter Schools, Hizmet Movement, and the Niagara Foundation. Read more here:

Funny thing is, they could have gotten a few of the retired guys who used to teach at the academy to do a better jobs and save about 95% of what they spent. Oh wait, there would be no kickbacks to Daley or Rham.

Barb Byrd Bennett did not do anything 'hinky' in giving a contract to her former employer. She never has never met BLAGO or Jessie Jackson JR. and though she may have gone to Dallas those were not her footprints on the grassy knoll.

Maryland Donna Edwards (D) stated during a Mike Wallace interview that Baltimore school children are reading from 20 year schoolbooks. Funding for Baltimore pupils ranks second in the nation only to New York in the major school systems. Eighty two percent of the 8th grade students are cannot perform at their grade level in math. Twenty year old books?

Hello F.B.I. I’m sure there have been more than more than enough appropriated money budgeted for school books over those twenty years. Show me the math books. If children cannot read and write at an acceptable grade level, where the hell is all that money being spent under the guise of its for the children? According to the democrat congresswoman, poor academic performance was blamed on books and you guessed it lack of funding. One can conclude just like democrat controlled Chicago the Baltimore school system is just another money pit with lots of connected people feeding from the democrat controlled trough. If only 18% of 8th graders are performing math at their grade level, I too would riot based on educational injustice and inadequate funding.

Huh?

No federal investigation into the Billion dollars worth of vampiric, life sucking financial instruments, vehicles and derivatives foisted on CPS by the smartest people in the room money-conjurer friends/financial gurus/campaign contributors/kick-back artistes from Daley Inc. and Rahm & Co?

Either some m/fers have Satan's own luck or
Chicagoans are truly a special kind of eye-watering ignorant...

They had Rahm The Raisin Hearted
on the ropes but didn't finish him
because he was such the financial
guru. (Benefit of incumbency/privy
to the municipal books etc.)

Garcia was booed and shit-talked
because he rightfully said he needed
to look at the books before announcing
the "grand plan" that Rahm's media lackeys
were agitating for.

Had Garcia put forth with a "plan," Rahm would've went on a media smear campaign using his knowledge of the shit baked into the budget to tear Garcia apart.

If Garcia's team were REALLY smart, or at least not quite so tone deaf/unobservant, they could have used
the collective savvy of this blog as an instrument to aid in snatching the living hide from ass to scruff off of a certain stinking little double-talking weasel. Make the first cut around the base of the tail then snatch it as hard and fast as you can.

The squirming, biting, scratching, crying, pissing and shitting would have been worth it.

Notice that all the bad news about the financial hijinks at CPS was held back until after the election?

Collusion by any other name is still collusion.

Local media has the stink of shit on it's collective
breath by virtue of it's noddingly complicit silence
in this regard.

Typical Chicago pantyless cheerleaders show all that shitty ass turning cartwheels FOR the Northshore Shit-Ass.

The fix is so obvious and blatant now.

How much money are they getting to look th other way?

"Yaaayyyy RAHM!"
>Twirl-FLIP!<

Ugh!
Shameless, reeking, leaking, worn, torn
and proudly prolapsed media whores.

We wonder how much more bullshit was "put on hold"
until after the election?

Maybe another slanted, anti-Police hit piece designed to bring Chicago in line with Baltimore and other democrat run urban centers just before the summer killing season?

Perfect.
Nothing brings "the community" together for common cause like "The Police Are The Enemy" even though
the young black men literally buried on top of each other, are giving mute testimony that the narrative of
Police as the enemy is a lively fiction.

Don't look too close.
You might not like the ugly you're seeing.

Y'all enemies lookin' a LOT like y'all...
"Halt! Who goes there? Friend or Foe?
Advance and be recognized!"

"Nuh-uh fool...
We like it in the shadows..."

Let's hope the republican presidential candidate puts his foot down wins and full speed ahead in Chicago city hall, the county, the state offices they will have to beef up FBI agents and U.S. Attorneys office exponentially. Have the multiplication tables changed during the last 20 years? Have the words in the readers or English books changed? Why can't the kids use old books if they're in decent shape? I still have a few books from high school and they still work just fine. No buttons broken on them or dead batteries. I can still read them. It's a miracle!

If the books were actually being used for years 20 , there is no way they a are in a usable condition. Yes you may have 20 year old books from HS, but you have not been using those books for the past 20 years.

However, check out used school books on Amazon. Many for a penny, I doubt the volume available could supply a school district as big as Balt, but cheap alternatives are available.

When I worked the projects the kids would throw their CPS textbook into the city litter baskets. Sometime they would set them on fire. Not that they ever opened them during the school year.

Getting ugly. Glad to see it.

How fast can BBB spend quarter-mil "leave of absence" pay before eating 29 cents/day Aramark federal-prison-subcontracted soy-protein diet cooked by same Aramark buddies who don't clean the school bathrooms?

Best slide quick across the Turkish border into Syria and become an ISIS "wife." Probably even less freedom, but then you can't have everything...

At CPS, there are so many outside vendors/contractors that have their hands in the money pot posing as educational resources.
Here's Luberman's company:

These bs programs and companies cost taxpayers millions.
CPS students are getting dumber by the day.

I am a CPS high school teacher and I don't have enough desks in my classroom for one of my classes. Don't even have proper school chairs for the extra kids to sit in. They sit on plastic folding chairs. I kill one or two roaches in the classroom each week. Would be more but I spray bleach along the bottoms of the walls. The ceiling tiles are full of mold. Copier is nearly always broken. Have to beg to get printer ink. Buy my own white board markers, paper clips, staples, folders. Buy my own cleaning products, including broom and dustbin, as Aramark apparently does not clean classrooms. Bring old washcloths from home to use as erasers. CPS is an absolute disgrace.
