- Three men were killed and at least eight other people were wounded in shootings across Chicago between Thursday afternoon and early Friday, police said.
Does anyone know if the police are still the problem? We haven't gotten a memo lately from the grievance-mongers.

016 had to borrow a lot of coppers from 017 025 and 014 to help out with last nights shooting.....how about staffing these districts so cars are not down....stop sending our resources south.

Why don't these crimes occur in Edison Park, Norwood Park, Forest Glen, or Saganash? Perhaps its a problem with those whom reside in such areas?

That's because Thurs. was June 11th and McNutty's new idea, the tattoo and uniform changes, takes effect on Fri. Jun 12th.
Just you wait and see those violence numbers plummet once the new uniform standards are forced upon us!

I cover up because I am off duty and a target for the liberal, police hating crowd, with no radio to a zone, if the shit hits the fan in my own car, what I'm supposed to do? It's not like the city is going to pay the damages to my car!
It's not like Supt. McCarthy going to back me up out here, as I don't trust him and his minions or should I say mopes!
I would NOT follow McCarthy into an open box, if given a choice because he is such a mope and a loser and needs to take his dumb ass back to New York!

It's getting warmer protect each other and extra protection for police families, with the anti-police rhetoric and the political apparatus bashing police constantly we only have blue! We have an abominable management structure, thugs getting huge shares of taxpayers money given out by the alderman for non-proven police actions (Burge) they clapped like trained seals ( not navy SEALS) ocean seals, as they handed 5.5 million of our money freely away! Pathetic!
"Failure to intervene" is why people complain that police are the problem. And the cops robbing drug dealers when they are actually robbing everyone they think has money to steal, especially females.

Absolutely true. Officers traveling to work are even prohibited from wearing winter coats over their attire when it's ten below zero. They cannot use umbrellas when exiting their personal cars when it's raining! They can't even walk past obstructions, like bushes or traffic control boxes, which might obscure the uniform from anyone's view!

Only supposed to cover up in a courtroom so's not to be "prejudicial" and "intimidating" when they have got some real dirtbag in there...
A few months ago was listening to 97.1 when he mentioned about his problems with the police, wouldn't go into the reasons. Yeah, white boy dj's have a problem with the police, what did you do, beat your wife or was it a D.U.I.
The city tried to require us to wear uniform to and from work once before and lost. They were told they would have to pay us overtime as you would be on duty.
