Well, I guess we'll all see huh? After all, today is THURSDAY! Yesterday was HUMPday and today????? COMPSTAT? or , is it cancelled, or is it still scheduled , only so Escalante can gather everyone at 35th and have cake and coffee to CELEBRATE McNumb Nuts departure? Hey if its cancelled EVERYONE can go over to 012. The DC is supposedly hosting a BBQ for his 2nd watch officers. Seems he threw a BBQ for the 3rd and 1st watches during the summer and did not include the 2nd watch because as I was told, that BBQ was being "planned ", and if it was being "PLANNED" then it must be a really great BBQ because everyone knows how BIG ED burned his bridges with the officers there in 012 and with his attitude when he arrived there as DC he's not well liked and now he realizes he needs to make up with the troops. Guess what Ed, to little to late! You're hated there. Heck They're even having trouble selling tickets to the "Holiday Party" . I've been told that they even posted the menu throughout the district ? really, I've never seen a menu posted anywhere throughout my career for any Xmas party. Like that's supposed to entice people to go? Really ED? IT'S WHITE SOX PARK (Cellular field).... oh well, thank goodness we don't work there.....

And I would disagree wholeheartedly.
Times and changes are coming on a national level. Time to sell off any registered assault style weapons you own. A full ban will come in time. Don't think they'll allow police even to own such weaponry. (probably have to store it in the station if so) I'll stick with my lever action deer rifle. They've seemed to work fine for a hundred or so years.

??? Ill be the first buyer for your so-called "assault weapons". The time is now to start stockpiling battle rifles and ammo for those weapons. Along with spare parts kits, magazines, and replacement barrels. The citizens of this fine country got the message loud and clear of whats coming. If you dont believe me look at the black friday NICS report. Over 180,000 background checks called in for new firearm purchases, the most ever for a single day.
John is a good guy. Very quiet which is an awesome trait to have as the police in this day and age. He will do fine. Besides its only for a couple of months, then he can slide back to 1st. deputy.
Just after being promoted to sergeant with John, we were both assigned to a north side district on the same watch. He was a good man well liked by the patrol officers and fellow sergeants. One of the few people I know who made it big in rank and still remembered my name. A real gentleman, and knowledgeable. Wish you the best of luck John, you are going to need it.
