Quite the Weekend

  • Three men were killed and at least 26 people were wounded over the weekend in Chicago as the number of shooting victims in the city passed the 2,900 mark for the year.

Among those killed was 71-year-old Fredell Bryant, who was shot twice in the chest when he answered the door at his Back of the Yards home early Sunday morning, according to police.
And once again, none shot by the police.

Uh sure, "he was shot dead as he answered a door bell". I love it how the media makes it seem like people are just going about their routine business; "Mr. Johnson was shot while walking home with a bag of groceries", "Mr. Garcia was shot as he was painting his garage door", etc. Never mind that they probably had a hit on them. Unfortunately most people who are getting shot and killed are involved with narcotics, gangs or some other criminal activity. When criminals get into a dispute with other criminals they don't go to civil court to settle their disputes. They open up a box of ammo.

Is it THAT much easier to "stare down" Policemen who are
forbidden by political powers against knocking his teeth out
for getting too close as outlined in the much feared North Star
of Illinois Law Enforcement (Illinois Criminal Code of 1961)
than the death cultists who would fill his narrow ass with

Some of you are so cute to think that not working VRI the city will actually hire more police. Keep dreaming. Did you know the city already reduced VRI 80 officers? 214 to 134? They're already doing it for you.

Remember what happened on the 4th of July in 2015? Only about 30 people signed up for VRI so everyone was put on 12 hour days.

If people stopped signing up for VRI I could definitely see the City detailing people out their districts for 90 days and assigning them to "impact teams"

I'm not a VRI glutton, I've worked it about 8 times since it was operational. I think VRI was an admission of a mistake of Rahm and McCarthy for disbanding TRU and MSF.

Has anyone noticed the consequences of the “refugee crisis” in Germany? It seems the grateful refugees are terrorizing German citizen via lots of property and violent crimes. Lets see, you feed them, give them entitlements, you grant freedoms, welcome them as citizens and as a reward your bitten the in the ass with their middle eastern criminal ways. Now the Germans are applying for their version of concealed carry in record numbers and buying up all self defense hardware they can get their hands on.

The German authorities won’t acknowledge there is a problem with the border jumpers who were welcomed in with open arms. The German government should soften this crisis by putting the humanistic approach duping its citizens telling them they will do the jobs Germans won’t do. I guess the Germans haven’t got their indoctrination into propaganda promoting tolerance, assimilation, diversity, cultural awareness and political correctness yet.

Tommy dart strikes again! hey Tommy what about all that corruption in your office? In the jail? Your promotion practices? Tommy trying to deflect the heat? Hope the feds look into your antics! Could this be because the black lies matter crew are in charge?
Cook County Sheriff Tom Dart has asked the Department of Justice to open a civil rights investigation into the Harvey Police Department for what he said is Harvey's ongoing failure to address long-standing problems.

But the suburb's acting police chief, Denard Eaves, countered with his own letter, inviting the Department of Justice to "conduct a review of the City of Harvey Police Department" to see the positive changes that have been made.

In a November letter to the Special Litigation Section of the Justice Department's Civil Rights Division, Dart cited a litany of issues about which he said Harvey has done little or nothing for years, including failures to submit sexual assault kits for analysis, track use-of-force complaints against officers and properly investigate violent crimes, including sexual assaults.

"I write to draw your immediate attention to repeated and disturbing problems within the Harvey Police Department in hopes that the U.S. Department of Justice will deploy

"Sadly, your agency would be hard pressed to find a more fitting case for intervention," Dart wrote,

Eaves' letter, dated Dec. 11, asked the Department of Justice to review the strides made by the Police Department, including the launch of a modern software system to improve records management and evidence tracking. Eaves said the department received an updated policy manual just this month — something the Department of Justice recommended more than 3 1/2 years ago

In his letter, Eaves noted that seven years have passed since federal investigators opened an investigation into allegations of excessive force by police in Harvey. The probe resulted in a 2012 report in which Justice Department officials said they could find no evidence of a pattern and practice of excessive force, something Eaves has repeatedly cited to counter criticism of the department.

But that report was hardly the clean bill of health Eaves has publicly portrayed it to be. Instead, it found that Harvey police officers weren't properly documenting the nature of and reason for the use of force, creating "an environment in which constitutional violations are more likely, as officers will know they will not be held accountable." The Justice Department also declared the Harvey department at the time "devoid of supervisory oversight and accountability.

The sheriff's office this year completed an audit that found widespread flaws in Harvey's policing. Eaves wrote in his letter to the Department of Justice that while he did not agree with every finding in Dart's assessment, "areas that required correction were immediately addressed." He questioned why the sheriff would request a federal probe when Dart's assessment praised the department for its cooperation with his office.

"Why these accusations were made to shed a bad light on the department, I don't know," Eaves told the Tribune. "I'm just saying that, regarding the Justice Department and Cook County Sheriff's Department recommendations, the department has made great strides in improving the Harvey Police Department and will continue to make strides."

"Following the release of the assessment, the Harvey Police Department seemingly failed to acknowledge the serious issues or indicate to the assessment team whether or how they would be corrected," said Cara Smith, a top Dart aide. "We are very encouraged that Harvey officials are open to another review by the Department of Justice — the residents of Harvey deserve nothing less."

how dare you bring up that this kid could have done wrong. I mean cmon, hes the chicago teacher unions main ally during these protests to make rahm look bad for the teachers contract talks... Plus, he is supported by alderman rodrick sawyer along with other alderman and lets not forget anita got the phone calls to make sure he gets released. Has anyone noticed that these protests from the teachers unions no longer call for Alvarez to quit but only rahm... Hmmmmmm, im sure it went something like this.. Karen lewis calls anita and tells her that if she lets her protest organizers out of jail that she will work to get anita elected again and lay off her. then there you have it, Malcolm is out of jail and not too many calls from those folks to get rid of Anita, just rahm.. Its a dirty city folks. Just so you know, Karen Lewis and the CTU didn't let a "tragedy go to waste" here as rahm stated in the past. The CTU and Lewis have disguised these protests to be against the police and mayor in order to get the teachers contract pushed through. This whole thing after this video was released and media attention is being orchestrated by Lewis and the CTU to get a contract for themselves and attempt to dethrone rahm. Nobody in this city is aware that the CTU is behind this whole "anti police" movement when in reality its Anti rahm as to get a favorable contract pushed through. What do you wanna be that if rahm settles this teacher contract silently that the protests go away and somewhere down the road in lets say 2019 the CTU supports Emmanuel for mayor again... or some other type of office that rahm may run for... by the way, here is the link

Chicago already has gun laws aplenty, as do the State of Illinois and the government of the United States, but they are not enforced by the judiciary. The laws are there, the police make the arrests and the state's attorney prosecutes, but the judiciary does not properly penalize the offenders. Our police do what they can, but Concealed Carry is the only way for law-abiding citizens to protect themselves. Both you and Obama can bite me. You are both fools.

Having been to Afghanistan for fun. I really like Taliban justice. The justice system combines the criminal and civil justice system. The judicial panel of three move throughout the country and act as mediators between the parties involved. If no resolution...... ie: You give me 5 camels and 6 sheep because your son raped my daughter than a criminal trial takes place. 2 of the 3 judges must agree....

The system works great and everyone obeys the law or else. The system is already being used in da hood with traffic crashes when everyone is dirty as well as shoplifting in mom and pop stores.

Protesters on the fifth floor of city hall today. Anyone else would be denied entrance or arrested for trespassing. Tourists, suburbanites and residents alike will be shopping, staying and eating elsewhere due to this protest nonsense. When will the department and city both agree that enough is enough? The first amendment does not provide for pedestrian/vehicle obstruction or the prevention and discouragement of patronizing businesses. We all know that it's all about revenue and the city is losing it continually due to their catering and enabling of these criminal disruptors. People better wake up. We already are facing the largest property tax hike and new garbage collection fees. Loss of revenue due to protests and repeated frivolous lawsuit payouts to criminals' families will increase our taxes and fees again. How can everyone in this city be so disillusioned and naive?

Well, I think we’re all shocked that a bloodless, profane political operative turned mayor would permit the suppression of a video depicting a horrific police shooting during the exact period when he was desperately trying to get re-elected. JUST SHOCKING, I TELL YOU. Are you delusional? How are they going to prove that these people cheated? You have to have proof. Unless someone was monumentally stupid and left an electronic trail there is no way to prove it. And even then who is going to investigate it?

Re: Jack Manfre

Remember him as one of the few Academy firearm instructors in the early 1980's that actually knew what they were doing, enjoyed doing and were willing to help people overcome their fears and get qualified. And had no snobbery about them.

Jack "now listen up" Manfre, Sid Cumberland and Nicky Rizatto. Three best instructors and gentlemen the range ever had.

Out of ALL these comments, NONE of them HITS the mark when it comes to what is truly important.

#MTM or #MyTaxesMatter

Where is the study that adds up ALL these shootings and the cost to the taxpayers for all the Hospitalization and care for the gunshot victim?

I am pretty sure they are NOT carrying Blue Cross Blue Shield, let alone FOID cards.

I remember reading somewhere that treating a gunshot victim on average is $250,000 (or more?). Is that about right?

Because if it is, we're talking MILLIONS of $$$ a weekend just to treat these idiots and someone is paying for it.

Forget BlackLivesMatter, this is a BIG MONEY matter. Start nicking these people on the rest of their entitlements to help pay for their stupidity.

2,900 shootings times $250,000+ is OVER $725,000,000 so far in Hospital costs this year.

By the time 2015 ends, (let's say we get up to 3,000 shootings) it will cost the taxpayers OVER $750,000,000 on average for the year.

Anybody talking about THIS expense and extra financial burden to the taxpayers??????

3/4's of a BILLION DOLLARS. How do we re-coup that money?

What about a cut in entitlements across the board? Take $750,000,000 across all the money paid out in Food Stamps (SNAP), welfare, Obamaphones, etc.

Once they see it in their monthly "paycheck", they might start calling the Po-Leece and reporting things and cooperating with investigations.

Stop the violence? NO - Stop the paychecks, that WILL stop the Violence.

Scc,
Why can't you make a thread about this. Apparently the front runner for Supt is Dept Supt Eugene W. This is the SME EW that was the subject of a short lived "confidential" CR# which named him and several female 1's for holding a study group for the Lt test ON COMPANY TIME in the conference room of Deputy Supt EW. This "confidential CR#" (emphasis on confidential) was assigned to a certain Sgt Brown directly by Chief Juan R.who told the investigator to "hold off a few weeks" before looking into the allegations. The Chief of IAD then went to Deputy Supt EW (the subject of the "confidential CR#") and informed him that there was an allegation that he (as a subject matter expert) was conducting an "invite only" study group IN HIS OFFICE, ON COMPANY TIME!!! The Sgt assigned to investigate the allegation waited 2 weeks before looking into the allegations and when he did...viola...no study groups taking place on the days and times in question. Although he had the names of several "attendees" to the special study class (2 of which were his co-workers in IAD), he was told by Chief JRivera to close the CR# as unfounded. (Sidenote: his son-in-law Capt Sean L was promoted to Commander with the backing of the Chief of IAD AND Deputy Supt EW) this was obviously a quid pro quo for closing the CR# and doing a 1/2 assed investigation.
Anyone that thinks I'm just blowing smoke is welcome to submit a FOI request for any CR#'s that Eugene Williams was the subject of. In the last 12 months. While you're at it request a FOI request for any department emails from EW that relate to "study group" or any email to "Davita Ward" and/or "Chief Rivera" or Sgt Brown from IAD.
Deputy Supt EW uses his Bbry like is a text message so he has plenty of emails directly related to study classes, dates and times as well as material that needs to be studied for the test. And remember the most important thing...he is a"subject matter expert (SME)" which means he was given an advanced copy of the year and he signed several papers guaranteeing the confidentiality of the test.

Anyone Sergeant that is less then 50 out on the last Lt test should be spitting mad. If you want to get together and make some hay email me at Surferatheart241@gmail.com and maybe we can get a judge to hold up the test while the allegations of cheating and studying on company time can me THOROUGHLY and COMPETENTLY investigated. Not the insulting half assed "investigation" that was conducted by Sgt Brown at the direction of Chief Rivera and in exchange for the promotion of the investigators son-in-law. Enough is enough!!!!

No promotions from the new Lt's list. I guess someone really high up saw all the clout heavy names that were in the top 5 percent. Seems like over 60 percent were merit Sgts that became the best test talkers. Wink wink. The whole list may be scrapped. Hope the city reimburses me for Bernstien.

Look at the names of 1 through 50. Look at how dumb these motherfuckers are!!! 72 percent of them are merit Sgts. They can't even cheat without getting greedy!! Dumb fucks should get fired!! That's a way to clean up the leadership on this Dept. Fire these cheating fucks and anyone connected to them. You fucking losers suck balls. Everyone of you will be exposed. You cost me money and time away from my family and now this test is going to be scrapped. All you merit fucks who scored high are CHEATERS and LIARS!! I can't wait for all to see you're names and you will be known as the cheating white shirts.

Hey FOP why not begin a system to track officer reports of equipment problems?

12/22/2015 11:13:00 AM
----------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah, FOP is going to bite the hand that is eventually going to feed them their "merit promotion" out of FOP. Yep, that'll happen -- NOT.

Good idea though. That would happen in a real environment, but you work in a Cloutocracy, so get used to it.

No one is going to rock the boat when they are promised a future ride in the big boys' yacht.
