Suburban Shooting
- A 38-year-old man wearing a homemade tactical-style vest and carrying an Airsoft BB gun was fatally shot after he led police on a chase that ended in a struggle in a Zion alley Wednesday morning, Lake County authorities said.
It is the second fatal police-involved shooting in the far north suburb since early April.
Body armor and a fake gun - suicide by cop? In any event, we don't have much of a choice in any situation like that. Hopefully, the officers are doing well.

OT: The Government is taking over our lives. In 2014, the Illinois State Legislature passed over 200 new laws. That means, if we read this right, that persons can be arrested for things they do not know are against the law. Further, the financial times are closing in on us....F.A.O.Schwartz Toys and Target left Manhattan at the end of 2014 cause the rent was too high. And just announced Macy's is closing 5 stores in New York plus another 35 in other cities...one in Peoria, Illinois...thousands are planned to be laid off. Boys and Girls....better save your pennies...another blast from the past is about to hit the corner and come full blast to those without savings. Lay low re your personal safety, tell no lies, be alert to each day and each other. The government is watching everything we do and so is the public....when one freedom is taken away another 10 freedoms pop-up to be denied at a later date.
Most important part of that story is the taser was not effective. People need to know that they don't work on everyone. Like a man on PCP might not respond well to a taser.
No, I don't think it's suicide by cop. It's Ghetto Lottery. It's the low I.Q. way of trying to get ahead in the world. If he had 2 brain cells to rub together, it might possibly occur to him that, even if he wins, he'll be dead.
Watch out for each other boys and girls. There are places you're not wanted. Let them live under jungle law for a while. Think containment. Be careful.

Air Soft is a tactical game that is played; however, I cannot advise that the game be played with the cops. They have no humor.
If that was here n the offender was black the "community" would be all up in arms about him being "unarmed".

Call was about the guy walking around school grounds taking all kinds of pictures of the buildings. Cops get there, it turns into a struggle and then a defensive shooting.
Some kind of nut like a moth to a flame, the Internet probably had him full of all kinds of jumbled images of ISIS and guns and Columbine. Has to do something, right? Spends weeks in the basement making his own vest with metal plates, checks himself in the mirror, this way, that way, does he look bad, than heads for the nearest school. Who knows.
Just exactly now on the radio -- some guy walked into a police station in Paris wearing a "fake explosive belt" and got himself killed for it too.

The news reports I saw had reported that the man was first spotted on school property.That's what prompted the call to 9-11.So,a guy without the common sense to stay away from a school while wearing a flak jacket and carrying a "pistol" and then - best of all - RUNS FROM THE COPS. You have to ask: Was the ending to this situation really unforseen? One less idiot and one more parking space available. Next.

That is one just where qualifications REALLY matter. How do you dumb down the tests for that?
Just like at other jobs - coming in late, coming in drunk, coming in high, not coming in at all that day - yeah, that's a good recipe for disasters.
We don't need "diversity" in the ranks of Air Traffic Controllers, we need skilled, competent people and if it turns out to be all white males, so be it. If it turned out to be Eskimo Female Lesbians, I wouldn't care. I just want to feel that those monitoring all the flight paths are competent.

no government entity is going to allow a really honest and independent investigation of itself or its employee's actions.
Looks like they better start doing more back ground checks at game stop before selling call of duty, grand theft auto...etc. maybe a longer waiting period on these violent video games. It does not appear that any crime was actually committed until he pointed a fake gun at someone. Supposedly there is video of him doing so. It is curious that it has yet to be released.

taking pictures of schools is not illegal
running is not illegal
