Nice Wednesday
- Shootings left at least two men dead and nine others wounded between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, according to police.
The most recent shooting left one man dead and another wounded in Logan Square, about 6 p.m., in the 3100 block of West Wabansia Avenue. A 25-year-old shot in the head and neck died at Stroger Hospital and another man, 22, is in stable condition with leg, lower back and shoulder wounds. They were in a car when someone on foot shot them and fled, police said.
You know what will solve this? More ISR's!

You say two dead and nine wounded but you could say 5 dead and 13 wounded and I would feel about the same. You could say 4 dead and 17 wounded and I might consider it for a few seconds. No, the point is for years if you made a mistake it was called just that. The new norm is that they call it official misconduct and they want to put you in prison. Logan Square was always considered by Logan Square residents to go as far south as Palmer, which was known as the 'Palmer Square' area. Now the realtors want to call anything north of Armitage 'Logan Square' (and if they get a really dumb prospective buyer, they'll say it's anything north of North Avenue).
Soon, there'll be a 'neighborhood' called "The 606". Looking at listings on realtor.com today, I'd say "The 606" will soon be known for its quadrupled land values and doubled r.e. taxes. HEY, Wabansia falls into "The 606"!!! Let's start a new neighborhood right here and now!!

I have a idea. The commander of 15 can call the ACLU. The ACLU could send their lawyers out to do roll call training on just what is an acceptable stop. No doubt in anyone's mind then as to what reasonable suspicion is. Their training will be recorded. The officers can use that recording in their defense in federal court and against any departmental actions if needed saying they were doing what the ACLU said is an acceptable action. Of course in the interest of transparency the community will also be informed of what an acceptable stop to the ACLU is so they can't complain. They got the policing they wanted so now they can live with it (or die from it).
Once again leave it up to 011. By the far the busiest district in the city boooom!!
