Amusing Statistic

  • The war on drugs may not be over in Chicago, but it’s in retreat.

In 2015, total drug-related arrests dropped to the lowest level in three decades, a Chicago Sun-Times analysis of city crime data found.

And the rate of drug busts plunged more sharply in the first four months of 2016. Chicago Police are on pace to make 13,000 narcotics arrests by year’s end. That would be the smallest annual tally since 1973, two years after President Richard Nixon declared a national war on drugs.
And of course, there is blame and credit. First, the Cannabis ANOV's are performing spectacularly well, to there's the credit. And the police are being fetal, so there's the blame. Then you have that "diversion" thingie where addicts are offered a shot at rehab. So how many hundreds of addicts have been placed in this program?
  • He also said police have recently joined the city’s efforts to get drug users into treatment instead of locking them up.

Last month, the first two people were diverted into treatment programs after they were swept up in a sting on a heroin operation on the West Side. Another sting is planned this month and police hope to place a larger number of addicts in treatment.
Two? Wow. Thank goodness this is taking hold so aggressively.

How about this theory? Cops are fed up with a system that releases first time offenders, repeat felons, doubts their word, has absolutely nothing resembling "truth in sentencing" and combined with the all out war on law and order, have backed off the entire dope trade.

I'm not surprised!

Hey, Frank Main, great twist on the story about arrests being down. You haven't seen anything, yet! I hope arrests reach all time lows. Stay fetal, everyone. Let the media, fight crime. They are so intelligent that it is a shame they aren't running this department...or maybe they are?

The war on drugs was over the minute elected officials started using drugs. More than half of elected officials used or are still using drugs. Let's legalize drugs and blame the police for all the short comings of our policies.

Illinois, Cook County's elected officials are a joke.....

So they just double talked. In order to get treated you need to be arrested so if arrests are down that means less people being treated.

They must not have read that piece in the Atlantic from this week explaining why the decriminalization of marijuana has been such a massive failure.

Simply put, even when you "give up", the bad guys keep doing bad stuff, the number of "unlicensed" and gang related sales continue rolling along, and so on.

It's not turning out to be the panacea it was sold as.

The industry average in the drug rehab business is between 3 - 5%, can't wait to see how successful the city will be.

So here we have the Progressives playbook: We ignore the drug laws. we declare war on the police. We restore rights to convicted criminals and we hide their criminal past. No harm, no foul, no penalty. We release criminals from prison early. We divide the Nation along class and economic lines.

Does anyone think this has worked out well for them or the Country? Do you feel safer in this sanctuary city than you did eight years ago? Are you better off financially? Do you feel safer walking downtown?

The last eight years.......

Was in branch 50 on Monday, two Detectives and one P.O. had cases on the call. That's it 3 felony cases to for the call, the court room was almost empty. In the 90's that call would be standing room only. I love it, STAY FETAL MY FRIENDS!

With arrests down, the dealers are making a lot more money.
I wonder what they are doing with that money?
More guns?

Now with that judge hooks and his crook county crew hunting more coppers, that is a great statement! we really need to stop working in thugland, they don't want us there anyway, we have copeprs on every corner working overtime, 100+ million per year poof gone, and how many taxpaying areas have been decimated with police removal to ghetto thug areas and yet the shootings and murders continue unabated! Lets experiment ed if police are the problem let's remove police for 1 week, maybe we could let the alderman who carry badges patrol the areas, rahm could release his "security specialist" specially trained officers from his detail, they could go get coffee for thugs, maybe pick up some grape pop and MD 20/20 then drive them around running them darn redlights showing the commoners police how to patrol teaching us their special skillset! Then all the preachers could patrol on foot, Farrakhan can also put his guys out there, jesse with his people would be "we are the world Chicago/chiraq style!

We tried every other strategy why not this 1?

It is true, they haven't seen anything yet. With the police not being able to go through suspicious people anymore and the bullshit ISR's, cops will remain "fetal" and all arrests have tanked. Regular patrol knows nothing about putting anyone into a rehab program without locking them up first so that's bullshit. As for the ANOV's for Cannabis? HAHAHA. Those never caught on here in the city. It's all smoke and mirrors by the politicians to make it look like their programs are the result of the decline, not the cops going out of their way to do very little.

OK then...

Disband tact and put them back on the watches
to chase the radio with the rest of everybody else.

Not a slam.
Not a slight.

Just following the natural progression
of things here at ground level.

The extra manpower IS needed.

Of course some will take umbrage
because it's beneath them to actually
answer and respond to the radio.

So...

If overall Police testimony in nacotic cases isn't deemed credible,
the logical thing is to disengage from any and all narcotics enforcement.

Right?

Isn't that what the Cook County Criminal Justice System is telling you?

How simple does it have to be?

From what I can tell of the Westside is that nobody does drug arrests anymore with the exception of tact. Not but a few years ago everyone on the watch was trying to there "50" date. All anyone does is TVB'S and call a Sgt. on every domestic call cause God forbid they make a decision for themselves. Good people don't get me wrong but we don't have Police working in 15 anymore. But hey I can't blame them. Who's gonna teach the new guys? All the working Police fled for a Unit or greener pastures up north.

Yeah...
The alderfools actually have the nerve
to bitch about guys popping smoke after
15 to 20 years in the ghetto and bidding
to where most of the population actually
has to be in bed by 11:00PM because
they actually have to get up and go to
work in the morning.

That's why a cavalcade of swing-dicks
are yelling about how the "community"
demands a seat at the table during
contract negotiations. They want to
prevent Policemen from having the
contractually protected option of being
able to say "F/U evil, death loving m/fers,
I'm playing my seniority card and getting
the fuck away from you before I end up on
the m/fing news."
