Mom of the Year
- A 13-year-old girl and her mother have both been charged with first-degree murder in the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old girl during a fight on the South Side over the weekend, according to police.
The girl is accused of stabbing DeKayla Dansberry, a popular track standout at Johnson College Prep, in the chest Saturday night, according to police. Her mother, Tamika Gayden, 35, provided the knife, police said.
- On Monday, Mr. Flora, now 27, was sentenced to 100 years in prison — 65 years for Endia [Martin]’s murder, plus 35 years for the attempted murder of the other girl. The authorities said the motivation for the shooting by Mr. Flora’s niece, who is awaiting trial for murder in juvenile court, was a dispute about a boy. Officials said the handgun used in the shooting had been illegally transferred and then falsely reported stolen before it ended up in Mr. Flora’s possession.
So Mom has about 100-years to look forward to. But what is it about adults providing juveniles with weapons to wreak havoc on the community? Maybe Mope-rah can answer? Or Phleger? Or Rahm? Or #blm?

But the police are the problem in the hood. Guns and knives, take them away and the real problem still walks around the hood living and breathing. No amount of police control, gun control or even knife control can fix the real problem in certain communities in this city or for that matter other cities. Frankly I don't believe there is any real desire on the part of pols to fix the real problem that plagues communities least the pols risk losing votes.
Doesnt every good parent provide their kid with a weapon to kill a friend ? mom must have been an outstanding member of the community.
I wonder if it was a confirmation gift? As bad as you think it is in that culture of violence, it is probably worse.

Somehow parks would fix broken homes, permanent welfare, delinquency, gang affiliation, disregard for authority, drug use and make sure the pets get fed. Since it's moochelle we can probably put obesity in there as well.

She wasn't a random victim, she went to fight. Didn't expect to die, but fights can escalate quickly in the hood.

These two young ladies and the mother could have been enjoying a pleasant evening at the Lucas museum with other black and brown children except the racists in this city will not give up the lakefront. Please give Rahm, George and Mellody their way before more children die

If the hood rat kid's mother is a hood rat... the kid will be a hood rat and quite obviously the mother doesn't want to change her own life so the kid will be nothing short of a terror. let me guess this was in the ghetto with all parties involved ghetto resident hood rats. very glad no police officers were harmed in this ongoing saga in the ghetto areas.

This would have never happen if she had her concealed carry permit and FOID card for that gun............oh wait she used a knife.
This happens when 70% of the Adults in the community thought process is that of an 11 or 12yr themselves. Most P/Os that work on the west and south side will confirm this. Dealing with these alleged adults is no different than dealing with the children.
You missed telling the race of the victim and offender, so I don't know if BLM will be picketing or not.....Mmmm Hmmm.
I will say one thing thank god they keep killing each other or the population would explode, this how mother teaches her children to act in society with little or not respect for the law and Black Lives Matter HA HA. Media and Politicians keep on believing this bullshit

I won't waste my time reading the story, but I'm betting the 'mother' is probably 26yrs old.
