Triple Killer Dead
The body isn't even cold, hell, his victims aren't even cold, and his family has already sought counsel to sue the Department:
- Jonathan Ford had few words for the man suspected of killing three members of his family. "Turn yourself in. Let it go.
"As he spoke Thursday, the suspect was holed up in a home on the Far South Side, surrounded by police SWAT teams. He was not letting go.
He leaned out a window and exchanged gunfire with officers around 9:30 a.m., five hours into the standoff, according to police. Around noon, the voice of the suspect's mother blared from a bullhorn: "I'm outside. Please come out. I love you. I love you, son."
No response.
Police lobbed tear gas canisters into the home and, still not seeing or hearing anything, fired stun grenades. They entered the home shortly after 3 p.m. and found the 31-year-old suspect dead of a gunshot wound, according to [...] Chicago police spokesman.
And the family, who weren't anywhere near the actual shooting scene, have brilliant insight into what went down:
- Robinson's sister claimed her brother was trying to surrender when police shot him.
"That boy didn't do nothing to deserve (it)," the sister said. "He tried to surrender and they shot at him like seven times when he put his hands in the air and told them he surrendered and they still killed him."
Eric Russell, a Robinson family spokesman, said Thursday afternoon the family "doesn't buy the narrative" and have already sought legal counsel.
"The family is of the opinion that every avenue was not given for a peaceful surrender."
He didn't do nothing - except execute three people and fire nearly a dozen shots at police. That sure sounds like someone bent on a "peaceful surrender."

I would say good luck trying to even get a lawyer to pick this case up. Even the worst bottom feeding lawyer know this is a toxic loser with no chance to ever survive a court room.

I has been often said that the reason Illinois is so generous in its policies for " time off for good behavior" is the fact the prisons are understaffed and they cannot control the inmate population. So, time off for good behavior and using gang leaders who get special privileges to keep members in line seems to be a common tactic.

The problem is that the city will settle this case and make the police look guilty for doing the right thing...all the city have to do is not settle and actually stand up for the police for once...
There will always be a law firm that will take up the cause. They will present any lie in a court of law and even invent a lie or two so the case can go forward. Judges that rule on these things always allow these cases to have their day in court no matter how convoluted the logic becomes. Yet we are all very concerned about police officers giving false testimony in these cases. And the only evidence of false testimony by the police seems to come from the judges and lawyers promoting these types of frauds with the only evidence being brought forward is that they don't believe the officer. Just amazing.

I disagree....A lawyer has nothing to lose. File the suit, family gets about $10K from the city just to make it go away, Lawyer comes away with $ 3 -4K and the taxpayers foot the bill.

Everyone bent over backwards -- starting with the First Deputy, who was on scene saying "We've got lots of time. No hurry. We want this to be resolved without any further loss of life," and then the Supt. himself showed up. Ofc. escorted elderly neighbors gently away from the scene, advised others to stay in their homes and take cover -- basement is good -- and every courtesy and protective measure was extended around the neighborhood. There was every concern about a middle school not far away; I take it kids waited there safely until this cleared up.
Guy was on parole, had done 2 years of 8 on an armed robbery charge, and had multiple felony priors including ag. bat. P.O. and weapons possessed by felon. At this point, I can only surmise that he decided not to die in prison. We will hear from the M.E. soon enough.
Best wishes that the decent residents in the area -- the lady sweeping her front walk despite the abandoned/foreclosed house right next to her place -- can get back to their regular routine of life -- a little bit safer now that a menace to them all is no longer around. Props and "great job" to all responders involved, and thanks to those in the area who stayed behind the tape when asked, making everything a little easier on all.

Thirty some years ago at the 43td St el station, the wagon crew was carting out the remains of a brother, who was literally killed by his flesh and blood brother, that had given him the heave ho onto the 3rd rail.
Running down the street comes Willie Lump Lump yelling that he saw the police shoot him. I looked at him like he was some bug and said that his brother fried him on the el tracks. He goes, "OH" and then turns around and casually walks away.

Everyone bent over backwards -- starting with the First Deputy, who was on scene saying "We've got lots of time. No hurry. We want this to be resolved without any further loss of life," and then the Supt. himself showed up. Ofc. escorted elderly neighbors gently away from the scene, advised others to stay in their homes and take cover -- basement is good -- and every courtesy and protective measure was extended around the neighborhood. There was every concern about a middle school not far away; I take it kids waited there safely until this cleared up.
Guy was on parole, had done 2 years of 8 on an armed robbery charge, and had multiple felony priors including ag. bat. P.O. and weapons possessed by felon. At this point, I can only surmise that he decided not to die in prison. We will hear from the M.E. soon enough.
Best wishes that the decent residents in the area -- the lady sweeping her front walk despite the abandoned/foreclosed house right next to her place -- can get back to their regular routine of life -- a little bit safer now that a menace to them all is no longer around. Props and "great job" to all responders involved, and thanks to those in the area who stayed behind the tape when asked, making everything a little easier on all.

Either get the cr number, or go into the watch commander's office and close the door. Think about the costs to society that result from releasing violent offenders early. There always seems to be multi-million dollar payouts as a result of the death and destruction that they bring. It would be far cheaper to hire more police and prison guards over the long haul to keep these savages locked up for life. The judicial system is broken and needs a complete overhaul.
Bill O'Reilly trashed the CPD on his show last night. He blamed most of the homicide problems on racism in the ranks because they don't care.
He thinks the National Guard should be called out. Kids got killed at Kent State in 1970 by accident. What would the national guards do now with people shooting back. It would be a bloodbath.
If any CPD guys read this you should get your Union reps to ream this O'Reilly off the air ASAP.
I'll never watch FOX News again.

A partner told me during my first year on the job to never trust a Fed. If they want to talk, let them call your lawyer. Don't talk without that lawyer present. Same goes for any law enforcement. If anyone is on a case and you are or might be under investigation, call for that lawyer. Any shithead will demand that lawyer; you do it too. For your own protection.

Ok so this guy executed 3 people then shot at the police from his house. You being the apparent super cop would rush into the house, where the offender has the high ground and full knowledge of the layout of the house, and do what?
