Been off from the 2nd until the 6th. I gotta say, I'm disappointed in the hood rats. There should have been more killing this weekend. On a good note, with all the police working on their day off do you think the mayor will realize if the police force has more officers, he can obtain this low murder count on a regular basis? But no, jag off wants a dumbass Star Wars museum and more bike lanes. But still broke to pay into the pension.

Assholes are back at it, they want DC to be a state. It's a fucking democrat area that will send 2 us senators and probably 2 us house members to congress. Holy FUCK! Between all these illiterate 3rd worlders, UNEDUCATED college grads and now this DC bullshit, we'll lose this country for sure in short order. It's time to partition the US, the experiment failed, let these northern, coast liberals have their own country to ruin. I'm serious, the country is gone, 0bama put it on life support and hillary will finish it off.

Now I love you coppers. Stay safe. Don't make a move w/o plenty of back-up (like 2-3 other cars on scene AT LEAST. I wouldn't.)

Mr. Six-flags is on news about the squad with two copper' inside getting hit with a "firecracker !" M series are a 1/4 stick of dynamite and can kill you. News affairs say firecracker in their statement. They made it sound like someone threw a "lady finger" at the cops.

It appears Sixer' mentor at B/A did not teach him much. Wonder if he or the walking lard head Eddie went to see the P.O' at hospital.

Too busy kissing the ghetto ass thugs and rev' in Englewood. The P.O probably are suffering a major hearing lose and burns. The squad not starting up again show the blast blew out it's electrical system.

Not only did news affairs say a "firecracker". The media, ABC on their Facebook as well, said it was "just a fire cracker" and that it was thrown "onto the windshield of a squad car". They made it sound like they got hurt from a firecracker outside of their vehicle. Absolutely ridiculous.

OT.... a couple days ago in 12 the xo from area central comes in Devarow might have misspelled his name. Says activity will come when it comes the main goal is to back each other up. As soon as he leaves the room. Our new Lt starts reading off how our activity is low aND we need to boost the numbers. This Lt was just made in the first class. He is in way over his head. He was in 12 as a blue shirt 15 years ago. The guys and gals in 012 r done working for you white shirts on 3rd watch. And the two new merit sgts if u think by acting like u r hard asses u r going to get results. U r foolish. U guys should have went to 007 where u could try that shit with ppos. And if u think telling us your a worker and you reward workers. Hey Sgt guess what no one cares how much work you did. Maybe you should take your hard work and go to 15. Heard they need hard workers there. Go on with that shit

Reference the "firecracker" incident:

2 POs assigned to a fixed post at 75th and Exchange. (One of three daily fixed posts in 003). While on post someone drives by and throws either a quarter or half stick at their car and hits their rolled up window, falls next to the car and explodes, damaging the car to the point where it won't start so the POs can't go after the offenders. Both officers have concussions. If their window had been down it would've landed in their car and they would be in intensive care today or worse.

All because the aldermen want fixed posts so the district downs three rapid cars every day to babysit three corners and put huge targets on the POs heads. And each fixed post needs relief for lunch, personals or any arrests they go in for. So at any point there may be up to six cars down in a busy district because the aldermen want it.

And now 2 POs are injured.

Nope. All this shows the mayor is that he can get away with paying a bunch of cops a little extra money to work their days off on busy holiday weekends instead of hiring new full time officers to work every day.

Independence Day weekend is a great example of the government's inability to keep illegal weapons (explosives) out of the hands of criminals. As the explosions continued into the night on "July 3rd" I couldn't help but think, "Aren't fireworks illegal in Illinois & Chicago?" Yet .... there they were! A bag full of M-80's could do a lot of damage.

7/04/2016 02:35:00 AM

News radio just now put out that "the officers suffered concussive injuries from the blast."

Doesn't have to be actual dynamite. A big charge of good old-fashioned black powder can kill or maim just as effectively. That fireworks powder is nothing like the "F"-series powder used in muzzle-loading firearms, which has a much larger and carefully-controlled grain size. Fireworks powder is milled as fine as talcum powder -- dip your finger in and it comes out coated gray -- so that it has an almost instantaneous burning rate. Sometimes other ingredients are added to increase the effect. They also make them with a short a fuse as they can get away with. Fuse costs money. An M-80, "2 1/4," or "quarter-stick" firecracker is no toy.

The same radio station is now reporting that a little girl near here had her hand blown off and suffered blast injury to her face from picking up one of these "firecrackers;" she didn't realize that it was lit.

"The P.O probably are suffering a major hearing loss and burns."

...and probably needed cardboard fragments picked out of them with tweezers. Eye injuries occur a lot, too. This "clownin" could end someone's career. I'm sure they got tetanus shots.

"The squad not starting up again shows that the blast blew out its electrical system."

More like a bombing than a "joke," huh?

Oh. Some innocent young man, walking with his friends, just stepped on a "device" of some kind that was left in New York's Central Park and it blew his foot off, and he may lose part of the leg, too.

At least 32 reportedly shot in Chicago so far on Fourth of July weekend

July 04, 2016

"Dozens of people have been shot in Chicago since the start of the Fourth of July weekend despite increased police attention in the areas known for the most violence.

"The Chicago Tribune reported that between Sunday afternoon and early Monday alone, 12 people were shot in a 14-hour span. The paper reported 32 were shot over the entire weekend so far. One man was killed.

"After a month in which nearly 15 people were shot every day, Chicago Police announced a July 4 weekend show of force that included thousands more officers on the streets, officers toting high-powered weapons at airports and teams of officers patrolling the city's most dangerous neighborhoods, tourist attractions, train stations and parks.

"I'm sick and tired and I know that the people living in those communities are tired of it (the gun violence)," Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson said Friday. "If it takes 5,000 officers over the weekend, then it takes that."

"The Chicago Tribune reported that some of the injuries included a 15-year-old boy shot in the foot and a 17-year-old hit in the thigh.

"The weekend has been bloody in the past in neighborhoods grappling with gun violence. In 2014, 16 people were killed and 66 injured and last year, nine were killed."

No state budget either. Giant garbage dump and open sewer with body parts washing ashore, 49 policemen killed so far this year, main and only expressway from airport completely pockmarked with bullet holes like Fallujah from the wars between drug gangs, railway to transport visitors and other Olympic facilities will never be finished, anyone can walk into "secure areas" and even take selfies with the "guards" without being questioned.

The Great Civic Project continues --

Mayor of Rio warns officials are doing 'a terrible job and completely failing' in their duty of policing violent crime just weeks before the Olympics… while hospitals begin to RUN OUT of medicine

* Mayor Eduardo Paes said Rio State Government doing a 'horrible job'
* Murders in the first quarter of 2016 up 15 per cent on same period last year
* Police claim they have not been paid properly in months and are protesting

"The Mayor of Rio has warned officials are doing 'a terrible job and completely failing' in their duty of policing violent crime just weeks before the Olympics are due to kick off.

"Those arriving at Galeao International Airport were greeted with the sign [held up by uniformed police]: 'Welcome to hell. Police and firefighters don't get paid, whoever comes to Rio de Janeiro will not be safe.'

"There is no money to pay the salaries of doctors and nurses, with hospitals on the point of collapse."

Hmmm...
Very disappointed in the
Lovers of Death/
Haters of the Rest of Society
on the West and South sides
of Chicago.

Does this weekend's
relative "quiet" actually
make a lie of the Progressive/
Catered-To Constituency/
Perpetual Grievance Industry/
Mainstream Media campaign
for Police Accountability/
Legitimacy/Transparency?

You know...
Since The Police are the only
entity in this mix with any
compelling rules to abide by.

It's EASY to "Stick It In The Ear"
of a majority decent group of
people who try very hard to mind
their business and play by the rules
with an expectation of themselves
and their families not being targeted
and fucked-with for political sport
just because these decent people wear
a blue suit of clothes and have
conditions of employment to abide by.

Those same conditions being
so artfully crafted as to intentionally
separate them from rightfully exacting
a punitive price when trod upon.

"You swore an oath so you can't
punch back when "WE" punch YOU."

"There's a process in place to air your
grievance and express your outrage."

And then there's this nonsense:
"...The Powerful Cop union, F.O.P."

Heh...
Dude Inc./#blm has a surfeit of sloppy
smoochies planted on their unwashed,
upturned and rapidly gyrating asses by
City Hall, CPD Brass-Holes, the media
and the usual knee-walking liberal white
guilter-cultural accommodationists/
surrender-monkeys.

Policemen are expected to endure with a smile,
the abundance of back-hand slaps across their
front teeth because they've been "Too powerful
for too long" and have been intentionally pimp-
walked backwards with a hard wrist crank by
City Hall being able to "turn" the morally and
mentally weak within the hierarchy of
successive regimes within the so called
"Bargaining Unit."

"no. No! NO!
If we fight TOO hard, they'll
be mad at us! Let's abide by
a "Gentleman's Agreement"
and refrain from punching back
so they won't say we're hostile
and combative."

Meanwhile...
Dude Inc. has chained the rear doors,
crashed a flaming minivan through the
front doors and are shooting the shit
out of everybody trying to escape out
the windows.

Aye...
Beating on The Police
seems to be the only answer
the smart set has.

Keep Policing like you have no friends.
It's driving all the right people (and folks) crazy.
That includes Eddie and Mr. Six.

Save your "Good Policing" only
for your fellow Officers and members
of the good citizen/freight paying public.

All others get a timely response,
a case report after the fact and
seeing the blood, brains, shit,
teeth and skull fragments being
hosed off the sidewalks into
the gutter.

"We don't understand why you
guys are so hostile and cynical!
We need to change that Warrior
Cop mentality into something more
manageable and friendly!"

Heh...
As vicious, cruel, profitable, politically powerful,
media savvy, tenacious, uncompromising
and unmerciful as Dude Inc. has proven to be?

"The Police are the problem..."

Happy Independence Day.

"A quarter stick is dynamite, not a firecracker."

7/04/2016 09:42:00 AM

Me, I always knew it as slang for a big-a__ powerful firecracker over the last fifty years or so. Real dynamite needs to be initiated by a separate blasting cap that has to be properly inserted and secured; an electric cap has loooong wires that need to have certain safety features removed, be checked with a very special instrument and then connected to another special electrical device to set them off. A non-electric cap needs a hard-to-get proper-diameter fuse cut, correctly prepared, properly inserted, and secured with a special recognized-trade-only tool and the right technique so you don't blow your fingers off. That's as far as I'll go here.

Getting kind of tech-info-overload for JJ and La'Doo on a sudden whim out a passing vehicle with their feet crunching on Steel Reserve cans and the Beats By Dr. put up high with the blunt going back and forth.

Not shooting you down -- my take, though, is big-a__, powerful, illegal fireworks. Enough of them around. M-80 or so blew a little girl's hand right off yesterday.

Anyone really want to lean on it, wipe down squad for residue and run swabs on a mass spectrometer. That'll tell you for sure. Quicker -- if you live, and smell sulfur afterwards like rotten eggs, that's black powder. Check in your alley tonight where everyone is letting off strings, and dig the smoke. That's the stuff.

Take it light, my good bro or sis, and maybe wear some clear Gargoyles or something if you're out tonight. Good idea anyway -- there are some awful fingernails out there today.

God bless and stay safe.

Looks more like this to the average fella today, with hospitals erased for an Olympics that never came, graft and taxes and fees skyrocketing, huge holes in the ground left over from failed "Spire" projects, with the richest man in China getting ready to shove another 100 stories of luxury condos up there...

Oh -- as darkness falls on the 4th of July, JOHNSON WILL BE HOLDING ANOTHER PRESS CONFERENCE at 8 PM local. Something to do with "more body cameras" or something.

Does this guy have elderly, part-blind anteaters as handlers? News goes OFF at that time. Cajun fiddling goes on, I ga-ron-tee. 30-pack on warm night continues being cycled carefully through freezer one or two at a time, finishing touch. Drapes get opened a bit more so's to see the fun from six different municipalities, not to mention the private stuff, the classic 8" white-flash-and-"BOOM!" charges that knock you back a little, the ones my Italiano neighbors seem to love so well.

He thinks we're going to be listening to him?? TONIGHT? More to the point, he thinks the Beats By Dr. crowd are going to put the huge rims and high-pressures up against the curb for a minute and drop off "Fear Of A Black Planet" and tune in to him?

Now, that does define "megalomania." Must have picked it up from the boss, huh?

+P+, my man. Just not too much.

In regards to post about nypd counter terrorism teams, Ryan sent out an order after Orlando that all central Tact team members who are carbine trained must bring out the rifle everyday. Ok, but how about some ballistic helmets and sheilds too, especially in 001/018. Oh wait that makes too much sense.

Only three dead and 35 wounded over the Fourth of July by Monday at 8pm? Wow!

Maybe actually locking up 88 gang bangers on Friday did some good? How many actually sat in jail? How many were released by bleeding hearts Saturday?

Maybe if our Democrat political leaders actually gave a rat's backside about the citizens, police, and crime, these thugs would be locked up safe in prison, not being courted to turn out the votes in the hood. Keep voting Democrat, and we can flush this city down the drain.

Just a word of thanks to each of you in blue. It's my privilege to come from a long line of family who were LEOs and to have lots of friends now on the job with CPD. Though dealing with dregs day-in, day-out, and being badly served by weak politicians and inept "superiors" unworthy of the men and women they are supposed to lead, please never underestimate the overwhelming majority of us in this city who are profoundly grateful for your service and sacrifices.

THANK YOU, ALL, FOR KEEPING US SAFE. MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS.

He was in 12 as a blue shirt 15 years ago.

No he was in 012 , around 12 years ago as a Sgt. Not sure where he spent his time as a po. But, he did go downtown after 2 periods on the street in 012 and was downtown until he made Lt. He is connected, not sure if he was in on the secret study group or if he made merit, but he does drink the kool-aide and believes in the political management agenda. He hasn't hurt any one as of yet, so he seems ok so far. Just because they ask for something doesn't mean they are being evil, their job description requires that try and lead the throops. When he starts penalizing a blue shirt for no productivity then he can be bashed, until then give the guy a chance.

The Lt. that came out of the second Lt. class was in 012 around fifteen years ago as a po. Seems like a good guy still, was a good guy when he was a po and a sgt. Scored off of the test and was not part of the secret study group. He was a sgt in 011. Haven't heard any bad things about this new Lt. He seems like a good guy still.

Maybe you should grow up - loser. You work in 012. Get over yourself. Your hardest decision in 012 is where to get a break on lunch.

You are a PO? Good god! Get off your phone and take a moment to think so as to not appear to be. Complete dumbass. This is the worst response I have witnessed in a long time.

No..... I am dead serious. Your communication skills suck that bad.... For fucks sake fix it!

As we partake in the festivities, let's remind ourselves to be patriotic by registering our family & friends to VOTE this November, especially for State's Atty (Christopher Pfankuche) and the judges ballot. You don't want a clone of the Baltimore States Atty in Cook Co. There are plenty of judges who need a NO vote and a few who deserve our backing.

Ballot Boxes Matter!

All fun and games until a hang-fire

"mis-indexed" and knocks the roof off
the house of the jag-off(s) firing those
confounded things.

"WHOOOOO!"

Funniest shit ever is seeing some assholes

Agree the Lt is a goof, but the sgts are being hardasses because of the whiney dogasses from the old 012. Guess you're all pissed off because you can't spend an entire watch watching movies on your tablet or turning lunch at the academy in to a two hour visit.

The work ethic between old 013 -- workers -- and old 012 is obvious.

Idiot. There were two in Beat 1221, traditionally one of the safest beats in the city. Shitheads know they can carry and won't be stopped, so shooting rivals on quiet neighborhood streets where permit parking violations are usually the biggest crime.

the west end of old 1313 (Kinzie

with an emphasis on the Franklin,

Spreading farther, isn't it? You never used to see stolen vans smashing through store windows on North Michigan Ave. to grab Gucci bags, either. Jeez, when I was a kid, the shopping area down by 70th/Jeffrey was safe and fun. Murderville today, 79th St. really something. Come to the point that half the city has nothing to offer you but a lot of noise and dirt and maybe a phone-snatch or a beating, so you stay away. It's sad.

Just commenting on neighborhood changes over the years, and I objected to the Trib's use of the word "tradition." That's kinda deep. This kind of stuff sure wasn't our tradition.

God bless & stay safe.

Hey 4:11 a.m., you gotta be one of our illustrious bosses who were p.o.'s in 012/013 and then miraculously returned to 012 as a boss, to say something like that.

Because no one from old 012 or 013 is much worried about what the other guys are doing. We're all blue. We're not against each other.

And it's pretty lame going on about some imaginary difference between 013 and 012 officers 3 yrs after the merge, when half of the original officers from the merge have fled the district already.

013 work ethic. You gotta be kidding or delusional. Or a "boss".

And all of us are on the same page about the new supervisory arrivals. Not to be trusted, will use you for what they need and not throw a bone, will turn their backs on you. They probably sit in that office talking about the "dumb, lazy blue shirts on the watch" who don't know anybody to get them promoted or onto a team, so they're stuck being "dogasses" (whatever that is in today's day and climate) on beat cars.

And if you are a blue shirt, 4:11 a.m., then you need to lighten up and get a clue. And get your head out of a boss's asshole.

And to the genius who mentioned the hardest thing about 012 is where to go to lunch, we know that already. That's why we're in 012. Try telling that to the new bosses. Maybe tell them to chill out a little while you're at it.

No, that would be you for not checking where the shootings occurred -- in the 700 block of California and 1800 block of Erie. So the shooting that happened outside of the old 1313 was in the two blocks picked up at the east border (used to be Damen, now Wood)
