Slow Start

Only 5 shot? On a Friday? That's what HeyJackass.com has listed. Saturday picked up a little bit - 1 dead and 6 wounded by early afternoon. This might have something to do with it though:
  • Raids targeting street gang members ahead of the Fourth of July weekend resulted in 88 arrests Friday, the Chicago Police Department announced.

The raids targeted gang members in the 11th and 15th districts on the city’s West Side, police said.

Of the 88 people arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges, 76 were on the department’s Strategic Subject List and 55 were convicted felons, police said. Sixteen were on parole for earlier crimes.

Police seized eight firearms, including an assault weapon and two handguns during a traffic stop Friday in the 5500 block of West Potomac Street. Members of the department’s Gang Enforcement Unit found the weapons while monitoring suspected gang activity in the 4900 block of West Crystal Drive when they stopped a Chevrolet Impala, and three people ran from the vehicle, police said.
You take 88 jagoffs out of the mix early, word gets around, quickly. Hammering 011 and 015 makes the under a good bet. This was a smart move, meaning it didn't come from HQ, but it only works if:
  • the cases stick
  • the warrants are good
  • the courts carry out sentences
  • IDOC rescinds paroles and sends jagoffs downstate
Otherwise, it's a one-time deal as Chicago marches toward 600.

I hope most of those 88 were white. We cannot have large numbers of black and brown folks being arrested. From Obama on down to city/county leadership it is frowned upon, not to mention being racist.

You gonna do this, do it every week. Go inter-agency, line up the buses around the corner, everybody forget about who is an a__hole and who not, check warrants, check parole status, and go through some doors.

Otherwise you gonna get murder/murder/murder like our tiny Mayor wants. "Take it in the alley!" Why? That make it OK? They did that with a little kid -- remember? Babydad owed money or disrespected or something. You good with that?

Coppers wanna do their jobs, but won't at greater risk to themselves than to the offenders. Place needs a professional cleanout.

I was driving around area south tonight all night and you could hear a pin drop.. It's not just the arrests in 011 and 15. There are coppers everywhere and I see a lot of guys actually stopping cars, foot chases and street stops tonigh. Tons of coppers can actually keep crime quiet so I want crime down Rahm then hire more people.

Quit slobbering. It's undignified. Whip a dog 100 times and then pet it once and it comes running back. A couple of raids and one big press conference don't turn this thing around to where you get your face licked all of a sudden.

Take the cuffs off the police and put them on the offenders and let that roll like it used to and MAYBE you'll see some long-term improvement, Otherwise, here we DO have Rio, Caracas.

We'll see real soon. Like next weekend? And the next? Same jump-outs, same warrants? An even bigger all-out interagency effort? Show me then. And again. And again.

Keep sticking your neck out

Charges have been dropped against a man accused of battering an off-duty police officer who intervened in a Wrigleyville street disturbance on June 22. The officer was rendered unconscious in the attack.

One count of felony aggravated battery to a police officer against 29-year-old Tremaine Wilson was tossed out with a finding of no probable cause by Cook County Judge Marvin Luckman. The state then dropped a lesser charge of reckless conduct, according to court records.

I think its more frustration with being treated like pawns and shit by the community, and most of all Politicians. Both on and off the job. There are so many mixed signals and so many players trying to make a name for themselves off of our lives and careers. And this entire clout thing and phony promotion thing? You work your ass off for 20 or 30 years for what? To be stripped and shit canned for one mistake, or supposed mistake. This God damned city has been screaming for our heads and belittling us for years yet now they decide they need us.

Ive met very, very few coppers who have seen suffering on the street and have "rooted" for it. Any Mother crying for her kid is a terrible thing to see even if the kid was a jagoff. I may be a cynic but I dont like watching suffering.

And dont forget the same bunch that had you posing with your ARs is the same bunch that legitimized shitbirds like the BLM bunch. The entire game is rigged.

I currently work at 376 due to a back injury. A bunch of coppers are headed back to the street in a few weeks. All are people who were light duty or were stripped and now released. There are about 16 or so. And I gotta tell you that most have been down here for a few years and all are saying the same thing; they ain't doing shit once they hit the streets. LOL, the brass might ass well keep them down here at Callback.

And now the coppers from the McDonald case are all about to get the shaft too. They all might be catching cases from that night out. Giving false witness accounts which apparently differ from the video. Not sure how many but more heads are going to roll here shortly. LOL I think they are making room for the new crew that we are expected to get.

Even if you don't do shit anymore you will always have to worry about your partner putting you in the trick bag where you have to decide to honor that "Code of Silence" or risk going to lockup as an inmate one day.

Stay Fetal.

And if that many shitbirds were rounded up wouldn't make sense to ...oh... I don't know, but do it EVERY weekend?

Even if many of the 'Bangers make Bail, eventually they'll get sick of constantly being arrested -- or Gasp!, being 'harassed'(lol). And get tired of posting all that cash, it does add up even for dope slingin' carer criminals. After a few of these raids they'll get the hint that the city really IS sick and tired of their bullshit. That Law Enforcement has a target on their backs and this time they mean business.

Bu Tiny Dancer has to have your backs. He's got to man up and tell the whiners to eat shit and die, these lowlifes are ruining the city for everyone. So F--k You ACLU, we'll see you in court. No more settling bullshit lawsuits, the Ghetto Lottery has ended.

This means the intentional blood letting by the mayor is on purpose and he is blaming it on the trust of the police.

For Immediate Release
July 3, 2016

Off-Duty CPD Officer Renders Aid to Injured Cyclist

CHICAGO – Earlier this morning, at approximately 9:45 a.m., an off-duty Chicago Police Officer (Officer Sean Hayes) was driving on the 3500 block of North Damen Ave when he observed a female motorist open her car door in the path of a 21 year old male cyclist. The cyclist collided with the car door with significant force, causing a laceration to his neck. The officer immediately stopped to render aid and, seeing that the victim was losing a large amount of blood from his wound, was able to utilize his specialized LEMART training and treatment kit to apply pressure to the cyclist's neck with a bandage and stemmed the bleeding until Chicago Fire Department personnel could arrive on scene.

The injured cyclist was subsequently taken to Illinois Masonic Hospital, where he is currently listed in serious but stable condition. The traffic crash remains under investigation.

All days off canceled, every officer allowed to work ot. A huge old s hoop raid of zero tolerance.

HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

I am sure none of that is related to the lower crime stats for the weekend

ABC nightly news said "In Chicago an extra 5000 officers on duty today". Really? From where?

Tom Skilling was a big help this weekend, but big operations can work but are real expensive both in terms of OT and manpower. They are not sustainable. Two solutions hire more police and keep the justice involved individuals in jail. Both political beyond the control of the police department.

It's just all districts went to 12 hour days; days & midnights and afternoons started at 1600 hours, the afternoon coppers were put on foot post on the lake front and city parks. So it makes it seem like you have more police but all you are doing is fanning them out very thin. Just all for looks citizens Rahm & strip-tease-supt. Are all about deceiving people.

Kudos are warranted for Supt. Johnson and the dedicated officers who have made these successful raids possible.
We need a lot more of this to send a proper message to the lowlifes who are destroying Chicago. Great news!

Off-duty Chicago cop helps cyclist after crash

"The swift actions of an off-duty Chicago police officer may have saved the life of a bicyclist seriously wounded after a violent crash Sunday morning on the city's North Side.

"Sean Hayes, a Chicago Police Department firearms instructor, was driving with his 6-year-old son around 9:45 a.m. Sunday in the 3500 block of North Damen Avenue in Roscoe Village when he spotted a young man who appeared dazed and was holding a hand to his neck.

"I asked him if he was OK," Hayes said. "Then, all of a sudden, blood came out of his neck. He said, 'Help! I'm hurt.'"

"The 21-year-old man had been riding his bicycle to work when he crashed into a car door that opened in his path, completely folding the door against the front of the car. At some point during the wreck, an edge of the car door apparently clipped the cyclist's neck, causing him to bleed profusely.

"Hayes, a 16-year veteran, managed to collect his thoughts, retrieve a medical kit from his car and apply a pressure bandage on the victim's neck.

"The big thing was keeping him calm," Hayes said. "He was looking for answers. 'Am I hurt? Am I going to be OK?' I said, 'Yeah you're going to be fine.' I said, 'You're going to have a little scar, and you got a little blood on you, but you're going to be fine.'

"The lady (driver) involved was hysterical and not making things easy, so I chose a difficult bandage for her to open up and work on and kept her busy with that," Hayes continued.

"Minutes later, an ambulance arrived to relieve Hayes, who was wearing shorts and a Hawaiian-style shirt. The victim was rushed to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he was in serious but stable condition.

"Sunday's accident was the first time Hayes said he had to render aid. He credits medical techniques he learned from a voluntary first-aid course for Chicago police officers.

"You never think you're going to need it," Hayes said. "I certainly didn't. I just happened to be at the right place at the right time."

"While Hayes downplayed his medical training, saying not to mistake police officers for paramedics or EMTs, Hayes' son, Cole, offered another title for his father.

"My son thought it was great, 'My dad is a hero,'" Hayes said."

That is the proof , Chicago needs the 2,000 Police Officers that were taken out of the budget put back in the budget ASAP .
It looks like Jesus "Chuy"Garcia was right about stopping violence and Edfie Johnson is right by putting a band aid on the problem by cancelling days off . Reduce alderman , 3 men light bulb changers , 3 man garbage truck crews and eliminate middle management . Hire some Police Officers now , save our city

Listen buddy I am a garbage man with the City and I would like to see you do my job as a one man its dangerous and that puts more stress on the worker. We need the 3 man crews in this city 2 are laborers and one is a driver. In certain neighborhoods it takes 35 to 45 minutes sometimes an hour to get through some of those alleys. Citizens throw anything out in their alleys and we have to pick everything up. Drive thorough some of the alleys and see what we have to deal with, We are pushed to bust are ass all day long out there in any weather conditions. GPS is on at all times and the great citizens of this city watch us just like they watch you. Streets and sanitation is a different budget from the police budget also. I'd like to see you do my job you'd probably quit after one day. I 100 percent support the police the money is there to hire more police but the city would rather use the money else where.

We can keep the 50 alderman but they should take a pay cut and if they don't agree to a pay cut than we cut them down.

I have nothing to say about the 3 man light crew because I've never done their job.

Where I live, the garbage truck is a ONE MAN operation. That's right, one man does everything. The only reason Chicago has three man garbage crews is because the Democraptic machine likes three votes more than they do one.

Are they still scheduling these silly CUSTOM NOTIFICATIIONS on the SSL guys? That's when u waste time and resources to go to their house and tell them to please knock it off or else ... Problem is there is "or else" - no consequences if they don't knock it off. Waste of time- but federal $$ involved - so someone getting paid ...

Task Force Mission, 1969: A District Commander requests a mission, or more likely stats drive the missions.

Night #1. Roll call, hit the street in the lucky district. Lock up everything that moves. When the District lockup fills, ship the miscreants to Central Detention.

Night #2. Dudes still don't have the message, repeat night #1.

Night #3. Flowers are blooming, birds are singing, young couples holding hands while strolling down the street. It worked then, but it seems somewhere along the line, we became the targets instead of the heavy hitters.

Oh yeah, night #4? Repeat Night #1, new district.

Not a garbage man here.

The garbage guys in Chicago are the BEST.

It's by far the best city service we have. And Daley was and Rham is doing his best to privatize it so his pals could get the contracts for it.

Look what happened to the Water dept. with all the privatization. Three days to come out to a broken water main in the summer,(I witnessed it).

THAT'S RIGHT, JUST KEEP LETTING COPPERS WORK all this overtime, cancel days off, see how healthy this is, do a check on the stress this puts on thier minds and body, how many marriages are stressed. Young officers developed very bad habits quickly. We don't have a whole bunch of senior Sgts. Left out there to manage these officers. Sure the money is great and shootings are down this weekend but it is only a bandaid. Chicago used to be a decent city and folks used to enjoy visiting and spending g money here, but after I spent 49 yrs on this job I spend time out of this olace. I still live here but it is my choice for my own reasons. HIRE MORE COPPERS AND RETURN OUR GUYS TO POLICING BUT THEY NEED A LEADER AND EDDIE AND JOHN ARE NOT THE TOP 2 COPS TO DO THIS. THEY ARE SHEEP, WE NEED A WOLF.

Well, where I live, the trucks are a three-person operation. Chicago picks up couches, mattresses, yard waste, appliances, whatever is left in the alley. There's no scheduling bulk pick-ups and 'big items excluded' and 'ew, I won't touch that'. When basements flood, the crews work their asses off, picking up all the cast off debris.
Lucky you, you live elsewhere. Here, it makes sense to do it the way we do it.
