Product Placement

  • Two people were shot at a laundromat on the city's South Side Friday morning and surveillance video captured two men opening fire.

A man and woman were struck by gunfire in the 6800-block of South Stony Island. At least one shot went into the laundromat through the front door window.

By 9:30 a.m. surveillance footage showed two people on bikes, at least one was armed and ready to fire. They circled the parking lost at 68th and Stoney Island. It becomes clear they had a target in mind. The pair, one on a Divvy bike, rode up to the front of a laundromat, dropped the bikes and strolled in. Within a matter of seconds, they spotted someone and immediately the target took off.
Not just for getting around the touristy parts of town - now available for all your drive-by or bike-by needs!

Maybe the shooters were tourists that brought their out of town beefs with them. Not Bloods, Crips or MS-13 from Cali, though. Not with bicycles involved. I'm thinking the shooters are probably from Pennsylvania or Ohio. The turf wars between the Amish, the Quakers and the Mennonites must be heating up. Someone didn't listen to the warning about not selling quilts on a particular corner.

Nice clear video of the would-be assassins. Hopefully, it won't take long before they are taken into custody. Good thing there were no cops nearby as this went down, as it would very likely have resulted in a shootout between these young thugs and the Police; we know that the cops would have been bashed for lighting them up, as they likely would have had to do to bring this incident to a close.

...and then they had to get out of there fast, to return the Divvy to its proper electronic docking/locking station so they wouldn't get overbilled for using it too long.

Huh?

This is priceless. Here in chicago you can rent a divvy bike and go do a drive by shooting. The city is getting paid by shithead to go do a egg batt/attempted murder. OMG I am dying at this one. If you dont have a ride in chicago to go kill someone just rent a divvy bike, the city gets paid and your offender gets smoked.

Only in chicago.

Love how it was story #8 on the news. Had figured it was a stolen divvy bike used outside the city, but no it was just more ghetto violence manufactured by the racist police.

Who cares? I'm riding south of 20th and its stolen? Good probable cause right there. One shows up inventoried in my district about every month.

I'll bet they don't pay the hourly rate for the meters that are taken out so the docks can be parked in the street. I'm sure the neighbors love them on the permit parking only streets, too.

Just steps from the "STONY ISLAND ARTS BANK", conveniently located at 6760 S Stony Island.

The Stony Island Arts Bank is a hybrid gallery, media archive, library and community center – and a home for Rebuild’s archives and collections. Designed by William Gibbons Uffendell and built in 1923, the bank at 68th Street and Stony Island Avenue was once a vibrant community savings and loan. By the eighties, the branch had closed and the building remained vacant and deteriorating for decades. Reopened in October 2015, the radically restored building serves as a space for neighborhood residents to preserve, access, reimagine and share their heritage – and a destination for artists, scholars, curators, and collectors to research and engage with South Side history.

Hmmm if the gun manufacturers can be sued for the crimes that certain offenders commit with them , then why can't the owner and chief partner , and Mayoral Brother, be sued over the violence committed using his Divy Bikes. Sounds like "Common sense" Gun /Divy Bike laws to me.

"Product Placement"

We're thinking the laundromat shooting video
would make a great late night TV sales pitch
for some shit regular people have absolutely no use for.

>Dozing in your easy chair as the TV watches you...
Volume suddenly cranks up to 100 as the screaming
and gunfire starts...<

"Get your new and improved, longer-lasting BULLSHIT today!"

>Wide-The-Fuck-Awake after the adrenaline dump<

Some FCC beefs filed because of that obnoxious shit...

Product Placement?

More like, "Selling it..."

Whatever "It" may be.

Chicago has proven to be a buyer's market
and sadly so...

Nothing like the time dude rode up on a bmx bike and executed
another dude in a crowd of dudes back in the day in ABLA...

Or the two little assholes (one pedaling and one riding backwards
and banging off a pistol) in Pilsen...

Fun and games until being spotted and chased by The Police
put a cramp in things.

Vaulted Sidewalks
+
2 fleeing assholes on 1 bike
+
8 to 10 foot drop gangways
=
1 spectacular crash

Z13 was alive with much laughter that day.

Don't take these m/Fers personally.
Just let them be your entertainment.

Drop reports and just laugh at them all day long...
