Lambert Tree Winners

Congratulations to two officers from Harrison who saved two women from a psycho:
  • Domestic violence calls are the kind that police officers universally dread. Emotions are running high. They can turn deadly in an instant.

That’s what happened on Oct. 4, 2015, when Police Officers Justin Raether and Jacek Leja rescued two women being held hostage at gunpoint by a boyfriend of one of the women.

They tried to talk the boyfriend down using de-escalation tactics now being reinforced by the Chicago Police Department. A gun battle ensued. The offender was killed. The officers were unhurt.

“He came out, charging us with a gun. We had to engage him. As soon as that was over — it lasted only a couple seconds — we managed to make our way into the apartment and found his girlfriend with serious injuries from being shot and stabbed. But we got her to a hospital, and she survived,” Raether said.
A job very well done Officers. Congratulations.

Congrats officers. So when does Eddie and Rahm do a news conference touting the great life saving work these officer did? A ceremony at city hall is not the same as a news conference with print, TV and radio media reps seated. Positive public relations would be good for the CPD. Hell, silly me for even suggesting it. Returning you now to the normal police bashing from the city and MSM.

Congrats to the two officers from 011. While well-deserved, no one will ever surpass the "heroics" of Alfonza Wysinger. Just ask him.

From civilian reader: thank you for working together to achieve an outstanding result. The danger or those "domestic" calls does not escape us. I remember one domestic call on Mothers Day years ago when I lived by Armitage and Harlem Avenue that ended much differently. Good work guys and everybody always back each other up. Things can and do change quickly.

How will an incident like this play out next year when de-escalation tactics, withdrawal and minimum force policies are put in place?

Amazing Courage and strength, in the face of instant decisions needing to be made. These officers represent what every Chicago Police Officer aspires to be. What I miss most about being a Sergeant of Police,in the Chicago Police Department is living and working with Heroes on a daily basis. To just be part of that Team was uplifting and an inspiration, because I knew that the vast majority of my Officers were capable of Heroism, at a moment's notice. The Bosses, well most of them were Political Hacks, with very few exceptions, John Graeber for example was a Prince and himself a Hero but most of the rest were ass kissing Hacks. When I would show up for roll call, just being with the men and women, was a remarkable experience, for which I am forever humbled and grateful. The City does not realize or fully appreciate the greatness of the Chicago Police Department, their Service is not a job; it is a Vocation, a Calling From God Almighty! Now when does the Bottom Feeding Lawyer show up with the Wrongful Death lawsuit. Had you not killed this poor man, my client, who was turning his life around, well he was on the verge of finding the cure for Cancer in his basement lab!Answer your calls, and if confronted with situations as these Heroes did, be a Hero, as these Officers were; otherwise Stay Fetal, Fuc% Rahm and his Wilmette Values. Baby"G"

Knew it wouldn't take long for the thread to take the predictable turn.
The jealousy and envy endemic to this department is...hell, I have no word for it.
And the lions share of the bitching is usually coming from the biggest 19-P job milking dog-asses out there.
CONGRATULATIONS to the recipients.

So these guys did something heroic so they will get merit promotions? After all this is what merit promotions are used for. Right? OT but it's funny how there are monthly award ceremonies at HQ and we all get honorable mentions read at roll call but merit promotions are always hush hush. You'd think it would be the exact opposite. The department wanting to tout who did something noteworthy and here is the reward for it. Nope. Exact opposite. Keep this under your hat kid.

Good job guys.

Now on with the news:

So Trump gets caught having the locker room talk with some news person. It was "leaked". More manipulation of the masses. Here is a news flash ladies - at some point in their lives your husband, brother, father or boyfriend had some conversation like this. Times have changed and we have gotten ruder, but the fact remains that we all have conversations that sound horrible when the fly on the wall recounts it later on.

I was young once and as I recall, the ladies were just as guilty as the men when it comes to solicitous conversations. It's ugly taken out of context, but it is life.

The left is having a field day spiking the ball in the end zone. Don't let them. The decisions of the Supreme Court for the rest of our lives hang in the balance. Do you think a far left Supreme Court will strengthen or weaken our Country.

Do not forget that Hillary is a far left zealot who fundamentally wants to change our Country. She is part of the George Soros cult that wants to open our borders and diminish the American way of life.

If you think some rude conversation is worth throwing this election away, take a breath. This will pass. Keep your eye on the end game, theirs! Hold your nose if you have to when you vote, but do not let Hillary Clinton and the far left take this Country.

There will be no do over! It will just be over.

Why didn't BLM protest this act of gun violence? The news media is silent? The officers are not stripped and sitting at call back? The police actually actually were 100 percent correct in defending themselves against a violent offender? Where is Loevy and Loevy? Surely they can find something wrong with this shooting? What is this department turning into? Sarcasm is good venting sometimes.

Good work offiers!

The only "De-escalation Tactic" necessary when dealing with an armed lunatic is to add additional vents to his body. Things will de-escalate pretty rapidly after that, starting with the blood pressure of the lunatic...

"De-escalation tactics" again --

Gang member suspected of killing two Palm Springs police officers - including a new mom and father-of-eight veteran just two months from retirement - is taken into custody

* John Felix, 26, was taken into custody after a 12-hour standoff with police
* He is a known gang member and was part of an attempted assassination
* Felix is accused of killing officers Jose Gilbert 'Gil' Vega, 63, and Lesley Zerebny, 27
* The third officer is 'alert and well' at a local hospital after being shot
