Downtown Again? (UPDATE)
- A 26-year-old man was shot in the chest and leg a block south of the Willis Tower downtown Wednesday night.
It happened about 7:30 p.m. in the 300 block of South Franklin, according to Chicago Police.
The man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, fire officials said. Police called his condition “grave.”
The circumstances of the shooting were not immediately known. SWAT team members could be seen as officers with police dogs searched a parking garage. Witnesses said the victim was found on a sidewalk, but that he may have fallen from the 13-story garage.
So, a robbery that turned into a flying lesson? Or what? Maybe a tourist with a telescope on the Skydeck got a good picture?
