NYPD Ignores "Sanctuary"
They're following their own protocol, in spite of their commie mayor:
- The NYPD alerts federal immigration agents to the Criminal Court appearances of immigrants facing deportation, the Daily News has learned.
As a “sanctuary city,” the city currently only complies with Immigration and Customs Enforcement “detainer” orders to hold a defendant until federal agents can take custody in cases involving violent or serious felonies.
But in the process of verifying warrants against a defendant, officials said the NYPD will contact relevant law enforcement, including ICE, thereby alerting the agency to an immigrant’s upcoming appearance in a city courtroom.
Advocates slammed the practice, saying it amounts to “collusion” with immigration officials that goes against the spirit of Mayor de Blasio’s pledge that the city will remain a sanctuary city.
It's I.C.E.'s warrant - why shouldn't they know about it?

SCC. Minor mistake. Our policy is to cooperate with ice detainers if The person is a convicted felon, documented gang member or in the process of a felony case at court. Immigration warrants are always enforced. Our GO/SO has been like that for years.
The problem is with dart who lets the offenders go before notifying ice. Dart is the problem and CPD is the problem by being complicit, not properly notifying / training our officers of the policy.
Please look up the order for yourself.
Public safety is not in the vocabulary of liberals/progressives in Illinois.

if you tell your coppers they can't ask arrestees about citizenship, you are violating the Vienna Convention, to which the U.S. is a signatory.
If an arrestee is not a U.S. citizen they have a right to consult with their consulate. If you don't attempt to make a determination of citizenship upon arrest -- because your sanctuary city bosses have told you that you mustn't -- the arrest and everything that follows might be tainted. And, of course, you would be violating their rights.

Ive been doing this for a while, annonymously of course. I notify them of multiple DUI offenders and the ICE people are more than glad to take the info, name, address and court date.

It's just common sense. Illegal aliens do not belong here. Round them up and deport them. Other countries solve their problems by exporting them north. Let's send them back. We should be billing their respective countries for the tab while we're at it.

Democrats want sanctuary for law breakers, obviously they have no regard for laws or law enforcement and never, ever will.
ICE used to do name checks on suspects in custody if requested by CPD, not sure if they still do and doesn't hurt to ask.
Also, make notifications to ICE whenever you suspect someone in possession with fake ID's too.
Every bit helps to take a Democrat vote off the street.

ICE is doing the job they are happy to finally have the support of the President allowing them to finally do their jobs, if we removed them from Chicago we would have plenty of extra cash to fund our pensions (which at under 25% currently lowest in nation is unsustainable), and give police retirees health care back, and the hospitals would not be so crowded with illegal non-paying invaders, do it legally or leave! Read a story recently illegals here over 20 years never sought citizenship, some even stole citizens social security numbers causing so must anguish! "don't go away mad just go away!"

Bottom line is that the police forces across the United States of America became too good at doing their jobs, protecting the lives and property of the citizens of the United States. The liberal left saw this and realized by opening our borders under the guise of humanitarism, that violence levels would increase exponentially. This uptick in violent crime would afford the politicians to operate under the radar with their thievery. Truly a treasonous act against the American people. Rahm and his kind are the devil in disguise.
