Isn't SFFP the furlough program aka EM? I may be wrong because I don't work for the county.
SFFP is the Sheriff Female Furlough Program. And reading through the comments, she got a $75,000 bond for murder, someone posted the 10% and she's out with a ankle bracelet. Amazing the lengths Dart will go to in order to empty the jail.
And speaking of the jail, another Corrections Officer was attacked and will be needing reconstructive surgery. Attacks on guards have totaled over 400 this year alone and Dart is getting ripped to shreds on underground blogs. This needs to go public in a big way.

Any negative story on Dart or the black female warden gets buried. Instead a story about free lunch at CPS or SNAP users not paying the soda tax gets more attention. You would think with the murder, assaults, carjackings and robberies by young black men, there would be politicians howling when a person on electronic monitoring is let loose to kill. Negative. It sickens me when I see Robin Kelly on TV using her bully pulpit shouting out names of victims of gun crimes but not saying that the GANGS are running Chicago, not illegal weapons. My rant.

The high sheriff is a great modern forward thinking peace officer. He has been instrumental in saving the county millions of dollars.

Actually Cook County is where you go once you have been charged and your bail is set. You can get charged with anything and the infamous saying by the guards is, bond out or plead out. Been there and it is not a nice place. Must have changed since my day, now you get electronic monitoring for home invasion. WTF
I called Dart's EM a few years ago when we had a subject who violated probation (drug dealing) wearing a Sheriff EM bracelet. He committed two murders as a juvenile which he only served 7 years. He had over 25 arrests at the ripe age of 32. The officer at EM told us to let him go and they would catch up with him later. I pressed him on the guys background and he said the Sheriff deems the drug dealing as low level and his priors doesn't matter. My Lt. told me to write a report to cover my ass and the subject went to court posted 2,000 bond and was never picked up by the Sheriff. About four months later he was charged with attempted murder after beating a guy into a coma who owed him money for drugs. He plead guilty, in IDOC projected release date 2028.
The officers that work in Sheriff's Electronic Monitoring are a bunch of strokes. They have their Cush spots and are very tight lipped about the crazy shit going on. The pretend like their Bernie Madoffs accounting firm on the 17th floor. What they don't realize is they are complicit in a coverup. I hope the FEDS come in a do an investigation on all of them. When you release hundreds of violent offenders on the street are not able to locate them, then try to cover it up, that is a crime. No wonder you cant get an answer whether they just put another murderer on the street. And don't start this BS that they Judge is responsible. The Judge gives the Sheriff the option and the Sheriff decides who goes on EM. So don't try to push that when the investigation is on you.
I pray for the Cook County Sheriffs. God Bless. Don't know how you do it.

Hope that is sarcasm. Dart's budget has gone up 200 million and he hasn't hired one Court Deputy in 11 years. The court division is down 750 officers, Where is the money. FEDS are you reading this!

I always thought of the county jail as a giant kennel. They board these uncivilized animals for a short time at our expense then set them free to commit more mayhem on the city. Maybe rahmmie and dart should be boarded for a time.
Where is the bargaining unit for the CCSP in all of this. Is it the "Teamsters", the tough guys as the portray themselves. Underground blogs won't help, the larger fear is that a jail guard will ultimately land underground.
Dart and his gestapo OPR will threaten officers for speaking the truth on Facebook. But it's ok for Cara Smith to lie everyday in the paper. They don't want the truth of what's really going on at the jail to go public.
Dart has 125 lawyers on his payroll while the Whitehouse had 7. Does anyone other than me find that scandalous. But don't worry the soda tax will pay for this.

the scum are lucky I am not in charge. we would not need many guards since I would lock them in the cells and weld the doors shut.
I worked in the jail for over 3 years in the early 90s. In that period of time I recall less than ten attacks on COs. There were probably a bit more than that but nothing like 400! But then again, there were consequences for their actions back in those days.
Likely that's a first time "getting caught" charge and a community leniency adjustment was granted.
Plenty of that is going to be the standard.
Empty courtrooms 26th & Cal will be turned into a community daycare facilities with an early learning and healthcare center.
One thing for sure is that CCSP are more likely to call-in sick more than CPD.
It's time to challenge them for the UN-Attendance Award.
