The idiot that runs Fleet Management should be FIRES TODAY. If this was the private sector operation this guy would have been launched.
Can't buy or lease enough police vehicles and we are down 2500 officers so how come we don't have any cars anywhere???
MMD takes 3 cars for oil change and cracked windshield and then proceed to junk them because they over 185,000 miles and replace them with NOTHING.. how are you suppose to operate a unit without resources. hey Mr Ed wake the fuck up, start providing the basic resources to do our jobs.

When the money dries up... ???

Have you priced oats and hay lately?

You aren't going to feed Mr. Ed on grass and donuts.

Maybe show the car with a couple of PPO pushing and pulling it.
That will cut down on vehicle pursuits!
Or everyone gets a Divy bike and a handheld radio?
It would almost be worth it, just to see Special Ed on a bike.

Anyone just drive out to Bensenville Elmhurst to Larry Rosch ford.
They have a couple hundred Ford Exploreres sitting on back lot.
All labeled with CPD stickers and outside numbers.

What is city waiting for?

They need to pay the dealership and they just do not have the funds.....
They cars have been ready for several weeks and they are not moving.....

Have been there three times since April 2017 and they are still sitting there.

Kinda sounds like the city "leadership" is phasing out the CPD. It fits the whole "police are the problem" theme.

Glad the old man isn't around to see this.
He'd probably stroke out from seeing the picture.

He said he traded living in the Delta and plowing fields
behind a flatulent mule for nearly 40 years on the job.

But damn funny nonetheless, SCC...

Special Ed's style of police operations: The cart is always before the horse.

Since the District lock ups are empty they can feed the horses outdated turkey baloney.
The problem will the methane discharge and since there's no AC, windows will be down.
But if it keeps HardChargers from chasing...let's do it.

So which nephew of what Alderthief has an idle and failing stable?

Hey fr. flegger ,black caucus you listening, your citizens are being slaughtered by the hundreds and the cpd doesn't have enough squad cars to provide officers to patrol your neighborhoods; I thought black lives mattered.

20 more federal agents coming:

http://chicago.suntimes.com/news/ag-sessions-slams-violence-in-chicago/

Then you read this stand out statement from Sessions:

“The most critical factor to our success is the strength, training, and morale of the Chicago Police Department and all of our law enforcement partners. This administration is anxious to work toward this goal.”

Hmm lots of work to do strength numbers all lies, morale in the toilet the only way to rebuild is fire every last exempt wearing our uniform as a costume! Otherwise the same inept so called leaders will continue being the buffoons they are only there for big undeserved pension dip which should be a criminal act! This also could change as soon as Sessions sends a team to forensically audit city hall county and state house! Start there bringing the real anti law and order criminals to justice will change things!

30 Jun 01:06 hrs. - Bravo! All Fleet Mismanagement will have to do is change the color of the divvy bike's flashing lights & presto! An emergency vehicle! And the bike is already painted blue! An old black rubber ball horn will have to suffice for a siren.

WTF is that all about?

Wasn't Rahm strutting around crowing, shitting and flapping
his wings like a banty-rooster about buying direct from
the Ford plant out on 130th & Torrence?

Oh well... Guess Dean Angelo didn't negotiate for enough
cars during the last contract negotiation.

Or did Larry Roesch make a donation to Rahm
for future favors and what-not?

Hide inside , afraid to approve arrest reports , case reports , sign i bonds
They are proof , CPD was better off with supervisors with a ged that could read , write , respond to calls and advise officers
No need to listen to war stories from narco. iAd and caps office
