Piggy Move Up
One retirement, and everyone sucking a government salary moves up a space:
- Longtime Democratic U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez won’t seek re-election next year, sources said Monday night, setting off a domino effect in Chicago Latino politics.
As a result, Cook County Commissioner Jesus “Chuy” Garcia plans to start gathering signatures to seek Gutierrez’s congressional seat, sources said. And 22nd Ward Ald. Ric Munoz plans to runs for Garcia's county board seat.
The decision marks a change from Monday morning, when Gutierrez’s campaign filed his paperwork to secure a spot on the March 20 primary ballot.
We see Gutierrez and we wonder whose butt he's been pinching.
Chuy is out of the Prickwrinkle challenge, so that takes the leading Hispanic and top communist out of the County race. Who is left for "progressives" now? Fioretti?
And Munoz, who used to hold guns for the latin kings, whose parents ran a fake ID ring on 26th Street, and who tried to beat up a challenger a few years back, is moving over to the County side.
Now if the rumor that Rahm is leaving takes shape, this might be a very interesting election season.

On a side note, loser Bobby Rush is being sued, personally, for defaults on a loan, where he owes up to a $1mil for money he received to revive some Englewood church. He’s also got a house in Michigan that he hasn’t made a mortgage payment in over a year, and that’s in foreclosure.

Get your info right. It was the 90's and Louie hung out with "Jimmy C" from the Spanish Cobras. I believe his real name was Jimmy Rosado. His brothers owned "Teddy Burgers" a hamburger joint on Division and Maplewood. Jimmy C wanted to run for Alderman but his record and his brothers rank in the Cobras stopped that. Instead they put up Louis Gutierrez as their hand picked candidate. They put drug money behind him and the fear of the Spanish Cobras to intimidate voters. The reason PR fest and all of the parade and cultural center is east of Humboldt Blvd is because Louie made sure that his folks were taken care of. The PR fest has grown to outrageous size but not one bit west of Humboldt. That in itself is proof that he doesn't support Latin Kings.

The scary thing was in absolute chaos a whole Platoon of CPD distracted directing traffic while the imbecile traffic aides leaned on railings being...DUMB. Shouldn't the rolls be reversed, if not fire the incompetent and make it a CPD OT initiative. Why let the patronage goofs of Aviation and OEMC do nothing while terminals of the real police are taken from their duties of actually deterring a terrorist attack?

Dude, I KNEW him personally in the 70's we were both teens then. I lived in the neighborhood and ran into that little Puto many times. He had a Latin Kings sweater on. I left the city in the 80's so don't know his history later, but when he was a punk kid, he was Latin Kings.

Luis' ship has sailed. He believes his own press. Nobody outside a couple of big cities would vote for him. His 'little dalliances' with FALN and rigged real estate taxes won't play well in the rest of the country.
