South Shore Shootout

  • Chicago police officers were involved in a shootout with a suspect in the South Shore neighborhood Sunday morning. Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 6700-block of South East End Avenue at about 1:45 a.m., police said.

When the officers arrived on the scene, a male suspect fired shots at them. Witnesses said they heard officers yelling, "Drop your weapon." The officers returned fire and chased the suspect on foot and took the man into custody, police said. No one was injured in the shooting.

A weapon was recovered from the scene.
Good job by all involved. Stay safe.

Now if the Police had support from the prosecutor's office and a judge with the balls to put a criminal away for a long time.
Some how, some way, the Police should get information out to every law abiding citizen exactly what happens to a violent criminal in their local judicial system. While some just don't care, I got to believe others just don't know.
Stay safe Officers.

Anyone know if Cabrini Kim showed up, ready to start a witch hunt ? She has made other "appearances" at OIS which ended up as justified - but her appearance was not out of concern for the officer's welfare. La Kimesha desperately wants to indict an officer. That's her only goal as she has cut staff for court room assignments in order to hire a Chief of Staff (with the requisite Deputy Chief of Staff). Other State's Attorneys saw no need for a Chief of Staff - but Kimesha is so ignorant that she needs guidance while giving cronies an undeserved, unnecessary job. Maybe the new Chief can advise Kimesha and Board President Prickwrinkle how to levy a legal tax - unlike the soda tax which was fraught with errors such as the Feds declaring it discriminatory to Link recipients.

Is this the kind of community bridge building community peace circles Special Ed speaks of?
Chasing that boy for no reason and shootin at him like that for doin nuffin.

No doubt a Special Ed Approved, KimmJongFxxx Restorative Justice I-Bond On Demand will be issued.
Will the CB worth the COPA Inquisition and meet their "running away" community-immunity litmus test?
Time will tell and likely suspect will be exonerated on the most serious of offenses.
Guess who gets the shaft.
Carry two rabbits feet on that keychain and double up with a ballistic plate panel in the back.
Never trust the COPA or expect a logical determination.

Too bad good old fashioned pro-active police work is dead and unacceptable.
Hope the OT slips cover the vig.

Thank God everyone is okay. I am surprised that the foot pursuit wasn't called off since they like to call pursuits(vehicle) when the police are shot at.
On another note the officer killed in Rockford is an example of how these idiots fleeing towards an officer with a car is serious and potentially always lethal. The State needs to hammer people that flee and act reckless on traffic stops.

(OT) Rahm you jagoff (sorry for the language but this is appropriate) downtown again:

Three violent robberies reported on Near North Side over weekend

Three violent robberies were reported on the Near North Side over the weekend.

Between three and four suspects approached the victims, pushed or punched them, and then stole their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies happened at 1:57 a.m. Saturday in the first block of West Delaware Place; about an hour later at 3:10 a.m. in the first block of West Chestnut; and at 1:14 a.m. Sunday in the 200 block of West Huron.

The suspects were described only as black men between 20 and 25, 5-foot-7 to 6-foot-2 and 175-180 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information should call Area Central detectives at (312) 747-8380.
Rahm you the 50, toni "suga" tommy "pizzaman" and kimmy "who are you" keep the pandering up! the most highly taxed area rahm you have a "black problem" if you were the CEO of any other place you would of been thrown out on your ass long ago! Personally I'm shocked the sun-times named the race of the animals! Could the new owners be finally breaking with tradition of kissing the corrupt democratic parties ass in this city-state-county?

Why is the academy not running 24/7 churning out coppers? rahm you found millions to aid the illegals as you took away CPD retirees healthcare the pandering is pathetic!
