retired and left Illinois for Indiana....good here, and have some family here.....there are some other areas, Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Arizona, Florida....

Think about that comment from the tactical and strategic point of view. And if you happen to be former Military, you should get what I'm saying.
The 9/11 attack was a tactical success. If combined with 'dirty' material, it would have been a strategic success. And it wasn't something you just would coordinate in the span of 2 or 3 days. It took long term planing. And if the 3 letter acronym agencies had someone on the inside, they failed their mission by not preventing the attack while protecting their asset.

This is done at Chase Field during all Diamondback games. The announcer asks all current and retired Military and first Responders to stand and the fans always show their respect and appreciation. I don't know if this is done in other ballparks around the league. I made the move to Indiana the day after I retired in 2008. Never regretted it even though I have to pay taxes on my pension. Get out of Cook County as soon as possible. Best of luck on a long retirement.

The retirees are alone on this plan. Rahm just offered an alternative plan. City has no control on this plan just as city makes no contributions to this plan. As of January 1, 2017 the city is out of retiree health care unless the courts rule different
