Swiper, No Swiping!
Does anyone want to thrill us with tales of how the swiping went on Day One at Headquarters? We noticed traffic looked a lot heavier between 1500 and 1700 hours, due to the many hundreds of house mouses leaving 35th and Michigan on time. We heard that they also had to schedule a couple of cars from 002 to regulate traffic leaving the building. Much honking and cursing and extended middle fingers were seen.
But not to worry, the clouted got to sneak out the west gate which hasn't been opened in almost a decade and the number of burned dinners was kept to a minimum.

About time the clouted earned there salary . Who am I kidding they will do nothing while waiting to swipe out. It's not there job, there job is to do less with more. If they don't like there new hours they can get in a beat car they always get to leave early because they are over staffed and crime is way down just ask Johnson or Rahm.
Oh very traumatic for those officers. At least bugs not shooting or calling them vile names. Calling Terminix.
AND.....Not one mention of Super Glue.....So far that is.....
Nothing is gonna happen business as usual people will still get there ducks and slips not burned people and scc need to hold there horses!!
This has been long over due. The majority of the officer at HQ are
Spoiled and selfish. They should post several independent city inspectors
near the swipe machine to keep the shenanigans to a minimum.
Two many 3 & 4 year rookies in HQ wearing too much makeup.
Different start times will solve this problem!

The guy that the superintendent brought in to help him workout was in "total shock" his "duty hours" were usually 1600 to 1900 with 2 of those hours set aside to "workout" with the sup and his "driver" trust me when i say this,HE WAS IN SHOCK ....It will NOT benekit him if he has to stay a full tour,which is only after 3 hours, must be nice....
So the new directives are out on swiping.
You can swipe in no earlier and no later than 7 minutes to your start time.
The same thing with swiping out; NO EARLIER than 7 minutes to quitting time and no later than 7 minutes after. (You still need a justified O.T. paper slip for overtime.
What this means is if you work from 0700 to 1600 hours; no more getting cut by your sergeant at 3 pm or 3:30pm - the earliest you can swipe out is 3:53pm - 7 minutes to 4 pm.
Everyone with childcare issues begin crying NOW.

I have 27 years on the job. I’ve worked the street for 26 years and now limited duty due to an IOD. So I don’t mind swiping in !!!!! It’s still better than dealing with the coppers who have no clue about the job
The exempts are not wearing body cameras or swiping either, their delicate minds must be focused on ways to fight crime and improve the quality of life for themselves...
I'll believe it when I see it. Headquarters is a place for the connected. They have different rules.

This too will fail! The police department just doesn't work 9-5. HOW NICE THAT WOULD BE. CYA BOSS. People in units that change the start times repeatedly will fuck this up. just sayin
I work at HQ and seriously it's not all bad. As an added bonus, it provides me an out to avoid the 90 minute meetings our chief always seems to schedule at 1700 on a Friday (0700 start) to hear himself talk, or to even avoid picking up my phone after hours. They're now even talking about assigning lunches to ensure there's no grievances about being denied one. Like everything else, make it work for you. To me, I find solace in going home on time.

Goldstein that name sure rings a bell with someone else who had all kinds of innovative computer ideas for the police department.

Keep in mind what department controls the money.
Department of Finance has their own staff reviewing swipes and time cards.
Want to bet they don't have a GO to review all supervisory over-rides?
Did anyone take a pick of the civilian claimed LT swiping? Or how about just coming to work?
HQ is the test . Soon enough it will be in the Districts and the D Units .
Ha.

YUP..
Also they will get rid of those damn call boxes (circa 1880)
They will take those damn radios OUT of our squad cars and go back to the call boxes (circa 1950)
They will get rid of the portable radios we have to carry and KEEP them in the cars (circa 1970)
Those stupid PDTs will be GONE by December of 1996.
Those In-Car Cameras and Body Cameras will NEVER see the light of day here in Chicago (2010)

You're on cameras, GPSed and watched for 9 HOURS a day minus maybe 7 minutes on the front and 7 minutes on the end.
So DON'T FUCK UP --- Go slow, take you're time and just collect a paycheck on the 1st and 16th.

I'm glad someone gets it. The chosen will be taken care of by the bosses who will be given the authority to override, actually probably exempt oo's because an override would be to much work for them

The savage has been emboldened by every politician in this city and until someone in power addresses that and starts to hold the savage accountable across the board; start jailing them, bring back the death penalty, say screw you to the ACLU and activists by allowing police officers to bring law and order back to the streets nothing will change and crime will continue to increase.
Do Mayor rahm the tutu bodyguards swipe in and out? Why does his detail have a commander that is not a lieutenant or captain , was job posted or a political pick ?
