- If you took a rainy stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk this weekend, your eyes weren’t playing tricks on you: the Chicago River took on two vastly distinct colors — one of them seemingly unnatural.
At Wolf Point, the normally dark, muddy color of the north and south branches of the river was starkly met by a vibrant teal more reminiscent of the green hue pumped in for the city’s annual St. Patrick’s Day river dyeing, or the waters of Canada’s Lake Louise.
The strange sight started to become apparent on Friday and was lingering into Sunday; people in downtown high-rises saw it more clearly than at street level.
Officials with the city’s Department of Water Management and the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago have been investigating.
If they find the cause, we suggest that they replicate it and try to make it a year round occurrence.

Then the anchor, Karen Jordan, said President Obama sent out a tweet and at which time his printed words were projected on the screen with Karen Jordan reading them word for word. There were fifty words in Obama's statement and it was about 19 seconds long. Now Trump's statement which was broadcast on conservative media was actually 177 words long and was substantive and compassionate. And you would think they would give more air time to a sitting President who was addressing the nation rather than a former President. But if you just saw channel 7's version you may not think so. The news media in this town is always twisting things. Who do you think they are in the tank for?

Emerging from my coma! The purpose of my orginal post was to spur comments by asking a rhetorical question that has an obvious answer but is made for literary effect. It is a question that you ask without expecting an answer. It may have an obvious answer but you have asked it to make a point for literary effect. The purpose of the post was to spur comments and illustrate how very misleading and deceptive the media is. And it was to let channel 7 news know we are aware of their obvious political bias. They read this blog. What better way to show the air times and words of Trump and Obama, it made Obama appear to be more caring than Trump, just by manipulating air time and visuals. This was a perfect evidence of what the media does. And thank you for your insight!
