Self Cleaning Oven Continues
- A loud argument broke out at a memorial party for Kenneth Williams, a 28-year-old man who was shot dead after leaving the Cook County criminal courthouse in August.
Sevetta Kidd was one of about 100 people who crowded into a Far South Side home and porch Saturday for the celebration — what would have been Williams' birthday.
Kidd, 34, hoped the dispute would resolve quickly. A couple of people who weren't invited had barged inside. But then people started pulling out guns.
Multiple guns at a "memorial" for someone gunned down due to the lifestyle he chose. What could go wrong?
- "The people who stayed behind were people close to the victims, and of course, the police are trying to do their jobs, which is to clear out the crime scene," Kidd said. "But the people who were closest to the victims are trying to make sure that their loved ones are OK, so those two entities collide and it's definitely not a pretty picture. Especially when it involves people who have been drinking and have other outside influences."

I can just see, in my mind's eye, some poor cops trying to deal with not only a murder but a bunch of hood rats blaming them for killing their 'baby' somehow.
SCC didn't give the location of the disturbance so I'm assuming it was on the South Side of Wilmette. I remember when Wilmette was a nice quite town, those damn hooligans. ♠️

Perhaps the victims’ loved ones would prefer that the police not respond at all, and allow them to clean up the mess their friends made on their own. After all, they aren’t going to assist the police in the investigation, since none of the 100 people at the party saw anything or can identify anyone. In her statement the woman said these were “uninvited guests” who crashed the memorial party. So the party goers interfere with the cleanup, most likely won’t cooperate in an investigation, and then complain about the polices. Sounds like business as usual in those neighborhoods.
Last night after work I turned on Sports Center on channel 5, Nancy stated that the players protest should be about the Police shooting Blackmen not about the flag. I will never watch channel 5 again.
Memorial Gatherings and House Parties of all stripes are THE most dangerous places to be in and/or near in 'Da Hoods' of Chicago.

Cops job isn't to clear out the crime scene. Cops job is to preserve evidence to help solve the crime. Lord knows these peeples or fuks won't be helping their own fucking community anytime soon. My thoughts exactly. Just like being on the countless scenes of shootings where everybody and their mama is coming up to you yelling and trying to threaten you - its all one anger-filled drama show. But they're scared of the police? Like we had anything to do with her piece of shit son getting shot anyways. I'm so done with this shit.
