Good Point
A regular reader of ours wrote to us about the recent post concerning increased carjackings. He points out the biased reporting of the Tribune "reporter" blaming police "reducing their aggressiveness" as a contributing factor. He then pointed out the following:
- First victim) "By the time she finished dinner" police had made an arrest.
(Second victim) Police arrived "immediately...Townsel was arrested 3 days later”.
(Third victim) “Porter was arrested about half an hour after the carjacking”.
EACH victim [biased reporter] interviews shares how police kicked ass and made swift arrests. So are police at fault AND doing their job? Which is it?!
A very good point. Which is it?

Unfortunately all that was lost between the lines. Most people walked away with high crime and they feel like they are victims every time the go for a drive. Police did kick ass. The Police are not appreciated in Chicago because of media and politicians.
Can't wait to leave to get appreciated else where.
I would like to ask alderman Looney tunes of the ward with asshole at Starbucks getting sent to hell--- exactly who is the problem, assholes or cops doing their job. Better yet lets ask the homeless who lived under LSD Lawrence exit bridge-- Has the local alderman help your lives out one bit?

Foxnews.com has story on their site--picture that goes with it looks more like a white undercover PO with a gun pointed at driver.

Well, the victims/reporters my be unaware of the arrests, because Kim Foxxx kicked the offenders out of 26/Cal less than 24 hours later.
The Animals are moving farther afield. They are running out of adequate game on their home ranges. They need more money and swag. It is mostly car thefts and car jackings. If they are willing to jack a car from people, home invasions and burglaries are not a big step up.
It ain't gonna get better. It is going to get a whole lot worse.
How did the protests go?
Have they overthrown the Federal Government?
Did President Trump Fled in Terror to Asia?
Did they march on City Hall and seize it from the running dog capitalist roaders?
Or did they mope in the rain and accomplish nothing?
They're liberal democrats. They just can't see how two-faced they are.

Every now and then a sliver of truth and fairness will find its way into print. Not often.
# Factsdontmatter. That is the way the world turns now.
There is never a follow-up story by the media. Its doom and gloom by them and will never let the CPD look like they are doing a good job. Remember with contract talks coming up how else can they reduce what ever they can from them if they look like they are doing their job?
OT - retired guy here from Winnebago County, Il. A Rockford, Il. city police officer was shot and killed around 1AM sunday morning. The officer has been identified as Jamie Cox and was hired in December of 2016. Officer Cox had been previously employed as a Conservation police officer. The investigation is on going. The officers side arm and radio were missing. A body was recovered from a vehicke involved in a car crash about 2 blocks away and at this time no information has been released regarding involvement in the officers shooting. More details will be released at a news conference set foR 8AM sunday morning.

30 years on this job taught me one thing, you let the average beat guy do his job and crime will drop. The problem is the democrats that pull the strings on the police brass. But hey not to worry you hipsters in the West Loop, Wicker Pk. etc. you just keep paying those enormous property tax bills and keep voting for those progressive democrats. ♠️
The Police will ALWAYS be the scapegoat and the root cause of all that's wrong with society SCC, you know that. At least in the mind of the msm and the liberals. I realized that many years ago. That along with the knowlege that there is nothing we can do to change that. Nothing. No matter how good we are, no matter how many great arrests we make, that will never change.
009 just had one on the 2nd of November. They caught him in the act and arrested him without hurting him, despite the fact that he was an active aggressor.
Great job by 009, VRI, Sat Team. This is a career-habitual offender who like to hurt people and fight police.

Get some time on the job kid, it has nothing to do with the boss backing us up, although it would be nice to know someone had our back. Until the public, media, politicians and the courts want us to be the police and have our backs you will have more of the same, reactive as opposed to proactive law enforcement.. it’s not worth the law suits, CR #’s, suspensions or losing the job to be proactive. This is the law enforcement the liberals asked for, the hands off approach , the criminals are victims of systemic racism. Well here you go, now you the liberals can deal with the so called victims of systemic racism. Until these idiots realize that not everyone can be saved and that most don’t want to be saved, I’ll be reactive and retire with my pension.

Glad there was a quick response to the reported Carjackings, but let truth be told, we are not stopping these assholes on the street, or even stopping them in their vehicles other then writing a mover. LOL They are pretending these are kids out joy riding.
Thank the liberals, the suberbinites, and blind and naive folks who will hang cops for doing their job. Fixing crime isn't difficult when u don't fight criminals with hugs and cupcakes or pizza parties. Those who think u will be covered cause your boss or GOs says good luck! word of advise get a desk job get of the streets or retire asap trust me you will thank me someday. Everyone whos not a cop think they solved the puzzle or know how to be the police and try Monday morning quarterbacking your policing total "BS". Evil knows you cant touch them and they are taking full advantage of that. The rules of engagement only benefit the criminals. Theres no such thing in preventing a crime, or stopping it from further harm.
You actually have to wait till someome gets killed in order to take action. And even then you will leave the door open for lawsuits, going to jail and be judged by all those cowards who will never throw on a uniform and serve there communities. Go home to your families, enjoy your life cause anything u do on this job can sink your entire life in a blink of an eye. Stop drinking the punch to all those superstars out there.
It's an analogue to the the Libtard narrative: "It's an increase in the decrease". Only in this case, "It's they want their cake and eat it too"....
Libtards wants hands-off policing, no encounters on the street to ask Jaggy McJ/O why he's in the neighborhood (he clearly doesn't belong in), no chasing of vehicles that speed away from traffic stops, "de-escalation", modified use of force models, and everything to protect the Criminal Shitheads running amok all over the City AND they also want you to "aggressively" prevent crime so the good people can go about their business. Just make sure that the aggressiveness doesn't rise to the level of a micro-aggression (we don't want the J/O's feeling like they're J/O's ya know), and that you dot all the i's and cross all the t's on those ISR's (so the ACLU doesn't tell Rahmacide and the Council "BOHICA" guys! You're served! Again!).
Don't have any OT or ole Fergy will go ape shit, but then again who needs OT? I mean, on CSI: Miami they have this shit all wrapped up in 45 minutes right? Hell, we know THAT'S TV, so real life is gonna take at least an hour or two. But more than 8? Oy vey. Come on, that's just stretching it and taking advantage. And we need that OT money to be packed into nice tight fat envelopes for people who will get us re-elected....and to keep other things hush-hush...
And for all that is holy - please, please, please don't forget to give those wonderful individuals who are only out "working" [at crime] a receipt so they can get back in touch with us if they can't give you a "5" on the Encounter Survey!
(see, it's really quite simple to be a cop in Chiraq... >sarcasm<)

why is that so obvious? who is "their"?
A "reporter" should REPORT the news...not complain about anything.
If an "investigative reporter", if there is any such thing anymore, was to do a "story" about what was happening in regards to the car jackings(or any other spike in crime) the following FACTS would be found:
1. shortage of CPD manpower
2. increased paperwork keeping the few Police Officers who are working in the station on trivial/huge amounts of paperwork/administrative demands
3. lack of prosecution by Cook County States Atty. Foxxxxx
4. if prosecuted...lack of punishment as outlined by state law
5. politicians who cater to the criminal in order to enrich themselves via the State/Federal money trough that they manipulate due to "crime problems"(new programs for the impoverished to keep them occupied)
and that is just the start of what would be found....but no one wants to make a career out of doing that cuz it would require some work....
009 just had one on the 2nd of November. They caught him in the act and arrested him without hurting him, despite the fact that he was an active aggressor.

is that some new shit or is this guy making up shit?

Responding officers found a one-vehicle crash about two blocks north of where the initial traffic stop happened, O’Shea said. Eddie Patterson, 49, was found dead inside the crashed vehicle.

Not a cop but here is my fucking rant. Each time Daley was up for another election, many cops voted for him. Knowing the manpower shortage and other issues. You still stepped and pulled the lever. If Chicago's black and hispanic population were so unified Daley would have lost years ago. But he passed out enough crumbs to keep a few people happy and the others drank the Jim Jones secret sauce. Yes Jim Jones because we are all paying for it. Each day with articles pitting one class or occupation against the other just because. Everyone pays for the high taxes and fees in this damn city. Everyone. When you rent, it passes down to you, when you shop, it passes down to you. Rahm is no better. Rahm was the smartest guy in the room, fresh from DC with his clout, but guess what, that shit is not working out, no matter what color sweater he is wearing. Good thing we did not get the Olympics and we better not get Amazon because that is worse Jeff Bezos just sold over a billion in stock. How much of his money is he investing in coming to Chicago. You are right, big fat fucking zero. Everyone knows CPD is shorthanded. But where is the battle to get rid of the merit promotions and the hundreds of white shirts who do not work at all? That is salary and health care for another pair of shoes on the ground Where is the fight to random search cars and people in the fucked up areas of the city? The company was “owned by trusts that are for the benefit of Penny Pritzker’s children,” according to Appleby’s files....

Pension board to hire an investigator to find the 5% that are gaming the system set aside for our injured police officers
if that investigator can catch 1 every month , it will save pension board a million dollars a year
if he can get 2 or 3 charged with a crime every year that will stop the abusers
how many in the past were caught , how many working full time while collecting benefits offer the police officers other city jobs and get them off duty disability we need duty disabled for the officers unable to work , travel , while we work weekends , holidays and they sit home , go out drinking , partying on our pension funds

Lots of people don't know that duty disability payments come out of our pension fund, not out of City funds. The scammers are literally stealing money from our pension investments.
(And before people start defending duty disability, I said "the scammers". I didn't say those who legitimately deserve duty disability.)

A person has to really prove his disability. You just can't use a free-clinic doctor to write you a note.
There aren't any legit doctors or hospitals that will put their asses on the line for a scammer. They don't need the aggravation and there's nothing in it for them anyway.

Exactly! If scammers can be found for $40k a year, I say have at it. And if a true scammer is found, they should be prosecuted for fraud. That's our pension money and they're taking it tax free along with free medical.
