That's the fucking truth, I carry extra everything when I'm with my family. Friday at Northwester Hospital there was private security all of the streets surrounding the Hospital. Does anyone know what's up?
Hey SCC, there was a shooting on Friday night at 79thband Ashland where along with the intended scumbag target who caught one in the foot, a 13 year old innocent bystander who was on a CTA bus was shot in the neck and is in serious condition. The whole incident was captured on a nearby 1080 HD surveillance video and the offender (Keyon Vance) was immediately identified through the video. Vance is currently wanted and is still on the run, but further investigation reveals that Vance was arrested on 14 July ‘17 with a pistol and charged with UUW by Felon. Well, the traditional police-ally Judge Peggy Champias decided to give this piece of garbage an I-Bond. Then in September while still on a the UUW by felon I-Bond, Vance catches a misdemeanor Trespass case, found guilty, and is given a 6-month conditional discharge. So why isn’t the Cook County court system being held responsible for this innocent 13 year old getting shot in the neck??? Here is another perfect example of how screwed up the Preckwinkle / Evans / Dart policy of giving ridiculously low bonds or in this case no bond at all to violent repeat-offenders. There are hundreds if not thousands more cases like this one.
I’m throwing in the towel. I quit.

Don't be a jagoff, I'm the police and I go to the zoo to see the lights and other attractions the City has to offer. Look at NY, police are all over the place. This City is not protecting its citizens other then putting manpower in the wrong places, like the westside and the southside. Pack a big gun with lots of ammo and plan to do it others who can carry, were on our own in regards to protecting ourselves.

NWMH security has ramped up their efforts to maintain a safe environment around the facility for several months now. I noticed it on a trip to the hospital for an exam way back in October. Good for them, that they have the bodies and the money to maintain a high level of security there.
Are you sure it was Peggy Chiampis that gave the I bond? Quite often she sets bonds and another judge lowers it or drops it to an I bond when it hits their court room a week or so later. Howard is infamous for doing it.
There is going to be a new training for this 'special equipment' very soon. Last I heard someone by the name of MacGyver will be leading it.

I think special Ed is turning the corner with weed tickets being a great success , snitch boxes being loaded with tips, triple merits becoming deputies at an alarming rate, and the clearance rate for shooting not even talked about. I think i am going to stick around for another 10 years.
