Federal Charges

  • Two teens accused of a violent carjacking in November are the first to face stiff federal charges as part of a collaborative effort between Chicago police and federal authorities to curb a surge of carjackings in recent months.

“Anyone who commits a crime like this should know, we are coming for you,” Jeffrey Sallet, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Chicago office, warned in a statement.

The indictment, made public Friday, charged Jason Dortch, 19, and Davontae Jones, 18, both of Chicago, with vehicular hijacking and brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence. Dortch is also charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon.

The two were already being held without bond while awaiting trial on state charges stemming from the same incident.

The federal charges, however, significantly increase their potential sentences if convicted. The most serious charge in Friday’s indictment carries up to life in prison if convicted, according to the U.S. attorney’s office.
There should be a few readers willing to keep track of these two. Any bets on how many years they actually get?

They'll get a hard slap on the wrist along with a hard stomp of the foot to the floor and a stern warning.

Nice move by the Feebs.

But it shows the total failure of the Cook County Court system to do its function.

And Kim Fox's complete abdication of her position responsibility as States Attorney.

The people of Cook County have 3 more years to look forward to her non-performing term. She should be indicted for theft.

In a shit hole like Chicago, federal charges should supersede state charges—- just until crime drops to levels of say— Billings, Montana. Assholes go on a merry go round at cook county court. Federal charges may set asshole right, but I have little fate in it. Only person who has learned a lesson in federal court if Johnny Copper as he posts his assets for a bogus lawsuit

Another headline grab. They must be taking lessons from Dart. First of all these "teens" are men, adults under state law, if the law were properly applied. In almost every juvenile case, nothing at all happens to these animals.

NO prison for ANY of these carjackers. It is a waste of money.

What did they do with horse thieves? They hung them!

Stealing cars should be no different. You steal a car - you HANG.

Now THAT would be a deterrent. Daley Center at High Noon. Hanging of car thieves. See how fast carjacking stops.

Parts of Chicago have deteriorated to being the Wild West, you might as well institute punishment doled out from the times of the Wild West as well.

Maybe, just maybe the Feds are turning up the wick on the people that do the crime. Instead of trying to make headlines with “common sense gun laws” maybe its time for Illinois to pull its head out of its ass. Rauner, lets hope you veto ALL of these bullshit feel good “laws” that Madigan is using to deflect attention from their growing sexual harassment issues swirling around them.

That’s all well and fine but these two thugs are adults.
The majority of carjacking offenders are juvenile predators and virtually nothing happens to them.
What is the “task force” going to do about that?

But, but we was just funnin. Teens will not be charged or punished and if they are there will be a law Suitland a payout because no one else was treated this way. Not fair to these aspiring youth. Kim and Toni will not let this stand, after all Chicago is a sanctuary city and that includes car jacking, the new right of passage.

Didn’t Lo Energy Special Ed say “ it’s not about being tough, toughness isn’t going to solve the crime problem”.
S.A. Sallet may find himself transferred to the mailroom.

I expect that the feral youth will be given the full obama era FoxxxWrinkle treatment after Cook County files injunctions for jurisdiction.
Released until decision is made.

How totally F-ed up is this? Since our own local law enforcement system refuses to prosecute carjackers, the feds are going to divert resources from their primary mission and do the job Cook County should be doing.

There is a certain genius in this. One of the FBI's missions is to root out public corruption and prosecute the players. If Rahm, Prickwinkle, and Kimmy keep the feds chasing carjackers and shoplifters they won't have the resources to fight corruption. I'd really like to know who the idiot was in the FBI who thought this is a good idea.

This is unbelievable, we have billions being spent on Dept. of Homeland Security under the assumption that they will keep us safe from terrorists. In the past few years DHS has primarily been focused on keeping America safe from Asian Massage Parlors, counterfeit products, child pornographers and drug smugglers. And now the FBI is too busy investigating under the table payments to college basketball players to follow up on calls about a kid who is going to shoot up a school.

I have said for years. Take one a-hole out of prison and hang him from the snout of the Picasso on Friday and leave him there for the weekend. Do this once a week and see what happens to the crime rate.

The Feds don't touch a case unless they see a 95% probability of conviction. While time in a "Club Fed" might be much easier than a state prison, it may not be so convienently located to facilitate family visitation.

They get any JUVIES to actually hit the lock up?
Do they debrief any of these arrest?

Do they post anything about this online about repeat offenders or do the JUVIE laws prevent that?

Here is a free tip if special ED and Cline quit emailing about nonsense on the department email may be they can send actual data on these ass hats.
Where they find the cars?
offender info?

Federal Charges for hyper-violent, death-loving
urban shit heads committing forcible felonies that
actually SHOULD fall under purview of the sovereign
state of Illinois in the first damned place?

She-yaaaaaaat...

And here everybody was thinking only those
"We Mean Business" federal charges are the
sharpened tablespoon of "enhanced accountability"
aimed squarely between the shoulder blades of
errant Policemen who very loudly and publicly
step on/in it...

Heh...
Federal Time for Carjacking?

City Hall "Busyness" inspired by cynical politics
driven by abject Fuckery.

>Watch This Space<
This will be shoved off center stage soon enough
when the powers that be decide that the appropriate
mourning season for Commander Bauer has elapsed and
it will be back to the usual City Hall/local media
anti-Police agit-prop.

Why not?
It's strictly a numbers game and City Hall IS
numbers driven after all.

Pro-Police/Pro Public Safety constituency in Chicago
only numbers about 100K souls give or take.

Pro Dude Inc./Ciudad Santuario y Cia./Free-Shit Army
Knee-Walking white guilting liberal progressive
Alinskyite collectivist traitors and seditionists?

They're literally legion here.

So guess where political and societal allegiances
tend to skew to in Chicago?

Right vs. Wrong (and how the prevailing narrative
centers on redefining such to achieve "change"
and "reform") really have nothing to do with it.

Federal Time for these criminal shitheads, eh?

The equivalent of Rahm and Well-Fed Ed hurriedly putting
clean panties on the famous dead whore rotting down in a
back yard catch basin.

The only reason the Police were called was that
she was stinking too hard to ignore...

"Y'all needs to do sump'n 'bout dat..."

But nary a m/fer had an answer that didn't cause
credulity to strain, grunt and induce a largish
hemorrhoid for how/why she ended up down there
in the first damned place.

Busyness.
Bullshit.
Bluster.
Diversion.

Elbows flyin'.
Assholes jumpin'.
Shoe soles busily runnin'
in never-ending circles to avoid having to tell
hard, awkward and pointy truths.

Protect yourselves from THEM.

Police Like You Have No Friends.

Look. Laugh. Leave.

Survive.
Pull your pension.
Escape.

Ignore the screams for help...

"Somebody do SOMETHING," is now FAR BEYOND
any Policeman to safely mitigate or positively
impact.

It's a trick by THEM to suck YOU
in because YOU STILL have a "True North"
showing on your moral compass.

Just stand back and enjoy the noise as the gears
grind to a halt because Policemen have no incentive
to be the lubricant any more.

Strictly by the numbers until the powers that be
either sue for peace and reasonable accommodation/
compromise or they make a move to put us and the
rest of upright everybody else on the trains to
No Where...

(Well maybe they won't because that's the universally
understood green light for a big nasty fight,
Gadsden Flag type stuff that triggers a lot
of the leftist rattle-minds out there)

Again...

Police Like You Have No Friends.
