We've heard some weird ones before, but this might take the cake:
  • There’s a rocky controversy when it comes to school safety in Schuylkill County.

The superintendent of the Blue Mountain School District is in the spotlight after telling lawmakers in Harrisburg his students protect themselves against potential school shooters with rocks.

“Every classroom has been equipped with a five-gallon bucket of river stone. If an armed intruder attempts to gain entrance into any of our classrooms, they will face a classroom full students armed with rocks and they will be stoned,” said Dr. David Helsel.
How very.....biblical. Perhaps the principal ought to include a sling? He does realize that to get any sort of heft behind a stone, you have to pretty much expose your entire upper body to get arm clearance - just the sort of silhouette that appears on a target.

And what if these turn out to be high capacity assault rocks? And they fall into the wrong hands? They're storing these things in a closet - is there a lock? Is the closet fire rated? So many questions.

Reading the whole article reveals that the school has supplied door locks and locking devices that immobilize the doors in the event of an intrusion, which is more than we've heard of at any CPS school. But relying on the aim of panicked grade school kids?

I like how some use the children as pawns to push an agenda. Someone is pumping a LOT of money to sway public opinion into action on Gun Control.

The real issue is NOT Gun Control. The real issue is - all those who dropped the ball in following up on real leads to stop this shooter before it happened. Where is the spotlight on them??

Typical stinkin' thinkin' from a
hidey-hole bureaucrat.

"Biblical," eh?
Y'all jest hold that though a second...

We'd like it better if he were to provide
the school delinquents with wrist rockets
and half-inch lead balls which depending
on the alloy, run around 180 to 190 grains
or so.

(As a reference, a one ounce lead ball will
run about 438-ish grains)

Didn't the IDF have orders to SOS anyone
seen using wrist rockets during the uprisings?

Anyhoo... David didn't just walk up to Goliath of Gath
and plunk him with a river rock.

He buried a river rock in his brain using a
S L I N G S H O T.

But seriously...

Cut to the chase and have a dedicated school
security team with gas-operated shotguns loaded
with 3in Brenneke Black Magic slugs that weigh
600 grains and brings 3000 pounds of muzzle
energy to the party.

When you absolutely, positively gotta knock the
dog shit out of somebody in a hurry.

They're also good for laying out vehicle borne bandits
in their sled like an unfortunate can of King Oscar sardines...

The Israelis have armed guards.

The Russians have them too.
(After the Beslan Tragedy?
Damned right they do)

But m/fers are FREE to waltz into a
U.S. school aka Gun-Free Zone and do
the fool with impunity while all the
political and media swing-dicks/hang-tits
uselessly wring their hands.

"Ban those evil G U N S!"

How about the BEE-AY-DEE m/fers
who deliberately misuse those guns?

How come THEY aren't being properly addressed?

Yeah, that's the ticket. Half of the kids probably can't throw worth a damn. I think I would have went with blow guns or assault sling shots with bump stocks and either marbles or ball bearings as ammo. Of course Crook County would have another tax revenue stream by taxing darts, rocks, marbles and ball bearings. Un-fucking believable.

Now, now, now.......

This just shows the difference between rural thinking and urban thinking.

Even the most seasoned urbanite is woefully lacking in the instinctive qualities of those thoroughly immersed in the ways of Mother Nature.

Why, I'll bet there will be multiple comments suggesting the erroneous connection between the using of stones + this story's subject = jihad/islam nonsense.

Quite understandlable, from the natural born urbanites.

Yet, are there no throwing of bricks, bottles, and other hard and hefty items within the urban experiences?

So, ya see, after a bit of pondering, one sees this particular story of a current event makes no less sense than any other.

The only point in the linked article of questionable wisdom is outing, by specifying, the one, single firearmed employee expected to be present.

That, in both an urban and rural situation, wasn't a bright thing to do.

On a serious note, yes, it’s very odd. But it’s nice to try and get students into a fighting mentality, instead just hiding only. If hiding fails, that is. When the classroom door flies open and a gunman stands in the entrance, 30 students throwing rocks is better than 30 students cowering in the corner.

This should maybe be more about the size of the bucket. High capacity buckets should be outlawed. One rock per person, then the children can keep it on them. Of course, they'll need training and a permit with that. And register their rock with the state. It can also be less than 10 grams. Any larger and the rock will be too scary for people, because who knows what can happen with a rock that size? It may fly out of a pocket at any moment. 🤷‍♂️

as I am taking a coffee break from the march in Chicago, so many people here and everywhere! The thing is these children really think the will make the change? well just talk to a guy I know he is a democratic strategist, and he said this is the plan to win back the government to the democratic side,as they are subsidizing the buses and hotels etc.. So that being said they are using the "children" as political footballs, and blaming the republicans for this! Many are demanding more protection in the schools, we all know Chicago with rahm has so many hidden funds (tifs tax increment funds for example which have assets in the billions used as a political payoff piggy bank yes that is your tax money), so with that money the elected rahm and crew are tossing it around like drunken sailors to buy the next election! Think for example about "rahms values" this man rapidly and viciously took away CPD health care as another example of his disdain for law and order, next that pathetic lie of a consent decrees, next he has how many different "attack the hard working police officers" civilian units set up?

Now lets move on and see the "rahmaster" in action, he takes that from police, bastardizes the police and then uses millions to make illegal criminals ID cards so they can get free rides on transit, and free admission to many events that everyone pays for, next is most gregarious use of that money he is letting the illegals vote using that same bullshit card! Ultimate pandering not to the disenchanted, disenfranchised nope to the illegal criminals to buy votes!

Ok back to the outcry, they want more security (police) in schools, which is a great idea, and many have said why not hire retired coppers kind of a good idea, but the best idea is yes hire retired coppers back definitely pay them a decent wage, but let the retired work inside districts and 35th street, and units this way all full-duty coppers could be better utilized in the school system! far fetched? Not really this is actually being discussed by many elected in "silent Caucasus" as soon as they figure out to get their payoff it will happen. Oh and the millions rahm is misappropriating with anna his city clerk that could be completely diverted to the police! Next rahm so what a "passionate" guy you are restore the retirees health care, stop being such a hiding ballerina!

Lastly does anyone really think this photo op to puerto rico with little criminal luis is anything more than pandering for illegal hispanic votes? We all know rahm could careless about those people he is in it to win it anyway possible may lawfulness eb damed!

How is this for a real story:
NARRATIVE FAIL: Tons Of ‘Good Guys With Guns’ Protecting #MarchForOurLives Gun Control Rally

On Saturday, thousands of left-leaning people descended on the streets of Washington D.C. to demand gun control as they were surrounded by a heavy presence of “good guys with guns.” It was a truly ironic scene.

In a piece compiled by Twitchy, a presence of heavily armed local law enforcement officials and members of the National Guard were on scene to protect those rallying against guns, claiming they make American less safe:

This just shows how wacko and how the democrats are using children as propaganda tools to-stay elected and get elected! How about all the "kids" come out and demand more police, demand more law and order, demand respect for law enforcement officers nationwide! That would be "Change we can believe in" and would really "make America great again" not the nonsense they are doing! They in history read about the Nazis,Hitler and the propaganda machine, and detest it but yet they are used as pawns in this game of chess where they are playing for cameras and lying dishonest democrats and of the course the media who marches in lockstep with this agenda!
