Something smells here, as was pointed out to us:
- Up on the Northwest Side in Dictator Arenas Ward, this tax money is controlled by The 6 Corners Association, which is a 501(c)6 non-profit economic development organization located on Chicago's northwest side. In other words it is a private committee used to funnel tax dollars into special interest programs and in some cases, their own pockets.
An email from Ed Bannon, who at the time was on the 6 Corners Association Board, was obtained. This email is to other members of the board, as well as John and Jill Arena, coordinating a trip to New Orleans. The email goes on to explain how they will hide these expenditures from the City auditor, therefor knowing that what they are doing is wrong.
And after Ed Bannon left the 6 Corners Association, he went over to Alderasshole Arena's Ward Office as an Aldermanic aide.
Illegal? We aren't sure. It'd take an actual Inspector General to determine that.
Shady as shady gets? Most definitely.
