- A man who is awaiting trial for attempted murder was arrested twice in Boystown this week—including once at the Center on Halsted. He had to be tazed one time, police said. The man, who had been in jail for nearly a year after allegedly stabbing a man in North Center, went free because a city charity opted to post his bail last month, records show.
Emanuel Smith, 19, is accused of repeatedly stabbing a then-19-year-old acquaintance during a fight that spilled into the traffic lanes at 4200 North Lincoln last June. Prosecutors charged him with attempted first-degree murder; aggravated battery with a deadly weapon; and aggravated battery causing great bodily harm.
With bail set at $50,000, he remained in jail until last month. That’s when the Chicago Community Bond Fund put down $5,000 for him to go free, according to court records.
So you can lay the additional crime statistics directly at the feet of this charity that posts bonds for violent felons lest they spend an additional day in Dart's pizza palace.

From the perspective of the left, there is nothing ironic or disappointing about this outcome. In the left's view he and all people of color are victims. Therefore, they are not responsible for their actions and are even entitled to righteous, self-help reparations by force.
You have to go to their website at chicagocommunitybondfund.org and see it. Their goal is to eliminate the bond system in the United States. My question is why didn't they help out Police Officer Jason Van Dyke who had to put up a $1,500,000.00 bond. It appears they only help "certain members of the community." Do you think they would put up a bond fir you?
I guess the bigger question is...Why the fuck is an asshole that is charged with attempted murder allowed to even get a bond? This man is clearly a threat to society and gets a 50,000 bond, what a joke on the judges ruling! All these judges need to go.

Not a cop, but a reformed citizen. I got paper on me. Did 6 months in county fucking around with credit cards. This was 18 years ago. Now, times have changed for the worse. When I got caught, it was no bail for me. Not fucking with you. No bail. So I plead guilty just to et the fuck out of county. The shit I saw back then changed my life. Dealing with cavity searches, guards bringing in shit for the bangers, but most importantly I learned how the real criminals think. Instead of trying to do better they would plan their next lick. Insane. Anyway, I read the current events and see guys getting fucking Ibonds for weapons charges. WTF. My sentence was 2 years probation and a 3k fine. After that the worst thing happened where my probation was not cleared properly, I end up attempting to get my rap sheet, get arrest for violating probation (those days you went back to County for it) my original judge cursed me at, no bail again even though someone could have just made a call and let me out. Another two weeks in County due to a clerical mistake. My rant it, this shit is on purpose now. Clearly there is a fucking agenda to let the animals run free.

Reading the entire story on CBT, how on earth, after violating bond for a violent felony, does this guy get released ROR after a second violent crime, after which he goes out and commits a third? I see a pattern here. Why don’t the idiot judges? Also, considering that this guy appears to target people from the LGBTWXYZ “community,” I would think their “activists” would be up in arms that someone who goes out of his way to attack them would be set free repeatedly to go out and attack them again. I would also think they would be pushing for him (and his ugly girlfriend) to be charged with hate crimes. Honestly, what on earth is wrong with the judges up there?

This freedom comes with a lot of strings attached: If a defendant violates bail conditions, fails to show up in court, or gets arrested again, bail is almost always revoked, which means the defendant is taken into custody. After revocation comes forfeiture of the bail money or bond.

If I am not mistaken, revocation of the bond is up to the judge. This group is heavy with a lot of friends downtown. I don't think that they will lose any money
