Just why would the city enter into a contract with a private company and then have to pay for each bike? Think the bikes should be provided by company then the city and company split revenue or company is charged rental space for each location and has to supply bikes. Why not lo jack on bikes or exploding seats for stolen bikes.

I was in Shanghai for two weeks for business and noticed literally thousands of bicycles which were relatively unsecured sitting on the sidewalk in front of factories and businesses.
Dockless bike sharing is a wonderful solution to the 'last mile' issue of providing transportation from the bus stop to work. It is so sad that this would never work in Chicago because the losses incurred due to theft.
A lot of hot divy bikes riding round the west side. LOL. The mayor and divy don't want the stats on stolen bikes released.
I think Divvy had a special deal for inner city youts They can get a Divvy membership for $5 a year No need to steal Right?
