- A Chicago police officer who admitted to paying for sex with girls as young as 14 — including one with braces on her teeth — was sentenced Thursday to 25 years in federal prison.
U.S. District Judge Virginia Kendall also ordered 62-year-old William “Willie” Whitley to pay $240,000 into a trust fund for his four victims, one of whom faced the 26-year CPD veteran at a hearing last week.
He's going to be really popular in prison - fired cop, short eyes - belle of the fucking ball.

Your absolutely right he does deserve 50yrs and I personally am glad he was caught. There is another interesting factor here that should serve as a detriment to anyone contemplating committing a crime even a state crime like child sex crimes.

It was called the 100 a month club. How was this a federal crime? Under the Hobbs Act. The booze that the taverns sold to the public was shipped across state lines.

In no way am I defending this asshole, and do not even know him. But lets face it, I am sure he did not tell his FB friends or even most of his personal friends that he liked to bang 14 year olds. So that comment was kinda messed up. Do any of us truly know everything all our friends, kids, spouses do at all times?

Interstate commerce federal charge due to using telephone to arrange for sex and condoms were manufactured outside of Illinois. Obviously they could not prove that he knew the girls were minors, so they went with whatever they could.

Regardless of what you stated, you must be one of his Facebook friends. You think my comment is “kinda messed up”? How about first of all not having to tell the world that you are a cop on every social media account you have, so that when something like this inevitably does happen, you don’t link our whole profession to it? How about the fact that his cop Facebook friends haven’t “unfriended” him since his trial? You don’t think it’s incredibly stupid to have yourself AND OUR DEPARTMENT listed on the page of a child sex predator? That’s “kinda messed up” buddy.
It’s also “kinda messed up” that the Chicago media couldn’t find anything but stock purchased graphics and generic photos to use as placeholders in their digital and print media when reporting on “Willie”. There are creepy people on this job and we don't always know what makes them creepy. They're the ones that other officers steer clear of but can't always tell you why.
What about the Cmdr from the 7th district that abruptly retired due to 10 plus years of social security fraud ?
Has he been arrested by the feds?
Will he spend any time in prison ?

Whitley is reprehensible. However, neither the feds nor IAD peeled this onion. If they dug deeper you would find conduct engaged by current and former CPD exempt is even more detestable than Whitley's. Parties, pictures, out of country trips and the like.
