Sounds Familiar....
- At the risk of being repetitive, we return once again to the Los Angeles Times, whose writers and editors seem to leap at any opportunity to present police officers in an unfavorable light. They are so eager to do so, in fact, that they are willing to omit relevant facts from their stories to achieve the purpose.
The latest example came on Oct. 4, when Times writers Joel Rubin and Ben Poston (with help from staff writers Ryan Menezes and Ruben Vives) wrote more than 3,500 words on what they and their editors believe is a serious problem within the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, to wit, too many Latinos being stopped and searched for drugs on a 40-mile stretch of Interstate 5, known in Southern California as the Grapevine.
“The team of Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies cruises the 5 Freeway,” the story begins, “stopping motorists on the Grapevine in search of cars carrying drugs. They’ve worked the mountain pass in Southern California since 2012 and boast a large haul: more than a ton of methamphetamine, 2 tons of marijuana, 600 pounds of cocaine, millions of dollars in suspected drug money and more than 1,000 arrests.”
Up to this point the reader might be saying: “That’s a lot of arrests and a lot of drugs. Sounds like good police work.”
But this is the Los Angeles Times, remember, where any law enforcement accomplishment must be viewed with the suspicion that the police did something improper to achieve it. And so comes the ominous kicker: “But behind those impressive numbers are some troubling ones.”
Gee, like accusing Chicago officers of being "racist" because they patrol areas that are 90-to-95% black? That cops are stopping too many black and brown people because only 95% of the shootings and murders are committed by black and brown suspects?
Officers go to where the crime is, oftentimes to the detriment of "quiet" neighborhoods who then suffer when criminals go to where the police aren't.

Police are probably the most visible arm of government.
A lot of disgruntled types hate President Trump. They feel betrayed by him, by the Electoral College, and by the Republican party. But deep down inside they actually know that they were betrayed by the democratic party itself, when the party chose to sell the nomination to Hillary. They couldn't win an election that they themselves rigged.
So these folks (and people) are super angry.
They equate the police with Mr. Trump, and as a result, police take the heat. Police routinely go into these neighborhoods every day, where most politicians fear to tread. It's no problem for the politicians for police to take the heat, and as Emanuel has demonstrated, he's perfectly willing to saddle police with the heat, rather than take it himself.

It seems to me that the Department knows and understands how to place Officers in distressed areas. Ask any Officer from 016 who has been deployed to areas other than his/her District of assignment.
If I was a police officer and got a call of a crime in progress involving Eric Zorn, Rex Huppke, Carol Marin, Clarence Page, Mary Mitchel, Dean Richards, Dick Kay or anyone else at the Trib, Suntimes or WGN radio, I would make sure to stop at every light, stop sign and crosswalk!
I've lived in Chicago for 60 years, and have never seen as much crime in areas like Lincoln Park and Downtown. I don't understand, if police are not wanted in the Englewood and K-Town, and police lives are in danger more than ever, why don't we police the areas of Chicago where the police are welcomed and respected?
I'm worried about situations like that video where the police were locked in the house
So basically the taxpayers that are due service get nothing because those services are routed to the areas that do not pay yet absorb all the resources while crying foul....Got it

as an old retired cop looking on the current state of police affairs not only in the country but in particular in Chicago, heed this advice until things shake out and you see where the city is heading. The mayoral campaign is based,mostly, on ramming the cops. The state campaigns are just about " standing up to Trump". Nothing about real government reform . There is no on in your corner right now. The most telling remark was that of a juror in the Van Dyke case where she criticized Van Dyke for not staying in his car.
They love to manipulate data to fit the narrative. The Los Angeles metro area is much like Chicago for white demographics. Both sit around 30-35% whites.
In the 1980s I sold New Cars,I was the only Spanish Speaking Salesman,I had Hispanic customers that would come in with bags of money and buy multiple cars at a time,I think they were involved in Drugs.

That aside, I found something interesting in the article, the two Federal Judges mentioned who dismissed the drug charges against the two guilty as hell Mexican Drug Runners; Judge Robert H. Whaley and Philip S. Philip S. Gutierrez.
Judge Whaley was appointed by Bill Clinton so he leans left, Clinton appointed no other kind. And Judge Gutierrez was appointed by Pres Geo W Bush. BUT!... here's a shocker.. Judge Gutierrez is rated as the 8th Worst Federal Judge! (per google search) And in 2012 there was 3,294 of them.
This is why it's important that the demonRATS do NOT win in November. The republicans MUST keep the House of Reps and the US Senate. President Trump must be allowed to continue to appoint Federal Judges that are constitutionalists to the District Courts, Appellate Courts, and to SCOTUS, and have them confirmed post haste -- without the delay tactics, childish nonsensical antics (Spartacus), and pure slander and defamation by demonRATS and their sick-o minions (Leading a Gang Rape Ring in High School).

I wouldn't trust anybody, intellectually, who votes straight tickets. Republicans and Democrats are no different than GDs or Stones. It mostly depends on who you grew up with and where. They are the same type of people just publicizing different "values." Have you not noticed the conflicting views politicians' family members admit to when they no longer have to perform for the camera? You play ball with who will give you a shot. Old Man Daley's first elected office was secured with him on the republican ticket and he was a known democrat then.

Every few months there's a different car or two in their driveways. It's how they launder money from their unlicensed "remodeling" businesses.
I propose that all non legitimate reporting, broadcast and print (internet) communication originating from leftist origins henceforth be only referred to as pravda sourced material.
