It’s 1:18am and there’s about 3-4 inches of slush...and that’s a generous estimate. It’s Chicago, people!
Is this just regular snow, or is it ThunderSnow?

It's snow. It's not Snowmageddon or the Snowpocalypse, caused by global warming and Donald Trump. The Storm Blizzard Action Team can report it while wearing stylish parkas, as camera lights highlight the snowflakes falling around them (the real snowflakes, not the hipsters protesting that snow is white and non-inclusive). Meanwhile, the rest of us will clean off our cars and go to work.
Laughing to the point I cry every year .... Schools closed, hand wringing, predictions of doom and now it seems the the weather service plays the game as well. Predictions of 6-12 inches of snow with all the modern equipment and data? Juat a great ploy to keep everyone of the roads and on public transportation or "working from home". Fucking idiots , get up early , yea I know what a fucking chore, allow twice as much as normal travel time and go slow. Yes even in your 21st century hi-tech car , they spin off and crash real well too. As for moron's in the suv's and pickem up trucks.....SLOW THE FUCK DOWN.....Yes you can go but NO you can't stop any faster. Gosh this was all common sense learned back in 67 and 79 and 2011. Actually the police were shoveling show during the 78 blizzard. I was a recruit and we got called in on the weekend to the academy. We were then loaded into squadrols and taken to various CTA locations armed with shovels to shovel. Never under estimate what the politicians will do in a moment of panic.

I had a real nice Ariel’s snow blower but now live in Florida. I really do miss that snow blower. It’s rough but now I have to bring a sample of my pool water to the pool store. Sunny out, 55 degrees, think I’ll ride the motorcycle. I’ll have to wear a jacket. Brrrr.
On a scale of 1-10 I put it at a 4. Hats off to all who braved the elements and attended the funeral.

I was also in the academy in 1978, many snow storms etc. We were never called in to shovel anything.
