Shots fired at the police:
- Three people were being questioned by Chicago police after someone fired shots at an officer Thursday morning in the South Shore neighborhood on the South Side.
Officers were responding to reports of a suspicious person at 9:18 a.m. when they spotted a group of males standing in front of a building in the 6700 block of South East End Avenue, according to Chicago police.
When the officers approached, one of the males ran up the stairs, police said. One officer chased him and heard several gunshots in his direction. No injuries were reported.

First...It's not called "South Shore" anymore. It's new Tribune name is "Dry Gulch Estates." Second....This is a bad time of year for the police business. The pace picks up, and the "real" factor doubles. Please be safe. Almost nothing is worth getting hurt over, especially in Crook County.

Please don’t chase for suspicious persons except for 10-1 or something very serious. You will be thrown under the bus if things go awry. The community and the Dept will side with the offender 99% of the time over the PO. There is no point to put yourself in that type of situation when restorative justice is the order of the day. You all better have an understanding with your partner about chasing. Not on foot and certainly not in car. So the order of the day is DO NOT CHASE. For any reason, do what the community does and snap a photo.
Nothing good comes from. Chase. Heart attacks, stroks, law suits, ruined uniforms, embarrassing moments when your outrun, no charges if caught. So why bother.

Sad to say but there were numerous times we didn't even call in shots fired at us. We were not able to decide where they came from, exactly, and decided not to endanger more of us but was hysterical to see the fuckers being stopped get all froggy. I know for a fact I had a guardian angel with me always, thank G=d.
If you catch the runner what do you charge him with? Just be glad he ran and left you with one less banger to deal with....
