Rumor going around Waller will retire. He said some stupid shit lately but that's just expected of company men. Was a nice guy from my experience and I don't remember ever hearing about him maliciously screwing over anybody in his career. He is an embarrassment and a liability to his sponsers and needs to go. This isn't the Harrison district in the 1990s back when you got on the job slapnuts. You can't be using the CAPS office for getting dates, babysitting your kid, and running personal errands for you. If it is okay for you to do that then the Inspector General better give us all a cheat sheet then on what we can, and what we can't use city vehicles and employees for. Nice try with claiming your son was an understudy of the CAPS Sgt and it was all part of some program all along. Idiot

Who could be the next superintendent. An intelligent person who was never merit promoted to anything, knows how to handcuff someone and do all paperwork and testify in court, worked 8 hours a day their whole career, has nothing brown smeared all over their nose, no crazy spouse, knows how to drive without wrecking a car every 6 months, has less than 10 sustained cr numbers, limited medical roll usage. Similar to districts and units. New commanders bring in new inside people, others never go back on the street, only to made up spots, special assignments,etc but never the streets and that ms not going to change

Sorry to disappoint you but those Officers are assigned to headquarters and are going nowhere. If you k ow anything about the union contract or labor laws, once someone is assigned they are there forever unless they commit a major mistake that is beyond the imagination.
Did anyone see the AMC that came out revising the requirements for captain promotion THE DAY THE APPLICATIONS WERE DUE!?
The order was revised to waive the credit check, which means some soon to be captain is a complete bust out, probably a degenerate gambler or is a multiple baby daddy. I'm sure when promotions are made it will be apparent who the rules were changed for.
Superintendent is placing exempts in key places to take care of his personnel "nurse" and his "workout guy"(who only works 4 hours a day on afternoon's including workout time)

After the runoff it will take time for the new mayor
to assemble a command staff.
Jfed's first mistake was he dumped the entire command staff
days after his appointment. No doubt he was told to do it by 9.5.
The new inexperienced double merits were the beginning of the
downfall of the once great & proud CPD.
Expect another 65 to 75 Sergeants between 1 or 2 more classes over the next several months as well. Possibly another small Detective and Lt. class too. If you're under 550 or 560 on the Sgt. list you have a great chance of making it legit before the current list expires. The exempts that will be departing over the next 5 or 6 months will need to get their people in on merit before the new mayor is elected. Make sure you study hard for the next Sgt test at the end of 2019 because it is projected a lot of positions will be filled due to expected Sgt and Lt retirements over the next few years.
The Ryan and Gorman families go back decades.
Observed more house cats outside headquarters smoking. Could be the 7th sign.

Well the first 2019 new tax raise has been proposed. Lame Suck and lame brained Rahm is in Springfield proposing a $.20-30 cent per gallon gas tax. This tp pay for all his construction projects. Both State and City are broke and Billions in debt, but the Democrats want to keep spending like there is no tomorrow. They will mot be happy until your as broke at the city and state. BS Dugans spot was taken by Joe Patterson 4 months ago, and Joes spot was filled by his assistant. No spots at AMTRAK. I have no idea why everyone hates Kevin, in 15 years as an exempt I can never remember him hurting a copper-screams alot, on the radio to much yes but never hurt a copper

My guess is they removed the captain application Credit Check because the Johnson twins were promoted despite red flags in credit check

You're right - when I was diagnosed with very aggressive cancer after 15 years on the street and very mercifully allowed to work at HQ, I instantly forgot how to even tie my fucking shoes. Thankfully there's plenty of street cowboys like yourself out there to make sure things get done. Aren't you too busy "staying fetal" to pay attention to what other people are doing anyway?
Wonder how soon they will be whistled back here from their luxurious retirement accommodations in another state and forced to take the stand in federal court to testify how they got those positions? Let’s hope this is the biggest shake up in the Chicago Police Department history also with everything going on with any park the big shake up in the history of the Chicago political democratic movement with cost so much heart ache meanings and murders to occur this once proud city.

I did background investigations for Homeland Security applications for years and credit checks were standard. Every account that was not paid on time had to be accounted for and settled with the vendor with documentation that the account is now up to date. Each account and its status was listed in the final report. In addition, a financial form has to be filled out that detailed every dollar the applicant has from bank accounts, to stock funds and every dollar that was owed from mortgage accounts to credit cards and car payments. The Feds did not fool around. And, this is done every five years.

Wrong snowflake. There are NO bid spots at headquarters. Only people who are successful bidders for a recognized spot are locked in short of a major screwup. Go find bid spots at headquarters in the contract and then report back.
