Whose Alley is This?

From a reader:

That seems like a bit of overkill. Is this Rahm's alley? Doesn't seem like it. Maybe some Streets and San boss? Possible. Burke's house? The possibilities are amusing. Especially with two days of rain and 40 degree weather coming this weekend.

Kind of reminds me of 020 when I was there some years ago. The pickup truck from the Area with the plow and the automatic salt spreader would come and instead of driving up to the sally port doors, dropping the blade and pulling the foot of snow off the driveway the driver would back in and drop about 5 inches of salt which made a bigger mess that everyone had to walk through for weeks. The floors in the building started pitting. The poor janitor kept mopping the floor with vinegar to counteract the salt. Just walking into the building once was enough to have to clean your shoes and pants. It would have been better if the plow guy never came. Don't these guys have any common sense?

This is how this city and state work...no big surprise here. All the liberal BS talk of being for the people is just that BS. The "elected" ruling class see themselves as the royals and the rest of us can eat fucking cake. Is it so hard to see another Daly running for mayor....they see it as their birth right. This picture is simply demonstrative of the mindset that has brought the city and state to the edge of ruin.

If the current trend in voting holds we will have Preckwinkle as both mayor and CC board president, Crimesha Fox as SA, Raoul as AG and Spaulding Pritzker playing Pinocchio dancing on the strings Madigan moves. What could possibly go wrong??? Getting out while I still can.

To the post about a broken spreader my question is why was a truck with spreader in an Aldermans alley? Very simple Inspector General needs to use GPS tracking data to see which driver was there and FIRE him. Then have him roll on his Supervisor for ordering him to do it, and FIRE the Supv. For these 2 to save their job have them give up the Alderman or his staffer and indict them. My guess is it is the jag off from 45th Ward. Hello are there any investigative reporters left this isn't rocket science.

I say it's pretty damn nice for the Vanecko Repaving and Shoe Repair Company (Ltd) to selflessly remove and bestow all the salt that was accumulating in those giant bins off 294. Not to mention all the Precinct Captains who donated their time and labor to ensure that no Vanecko ever has to live in poverty while there is single taxpayer left to fleece.

This taxpayer in NorthCenter is NOT okay with this. If this were in my area, I am pretty sure I could figure out who the big shot is and we would deal with it ourselves (don't read into that, just saying we would bring it up with the individual and then after confirmation, report it to as many reporters and City Hall folks as possible).

I am raising a family in the city and am disgusted with crap like this. I am also disgusted with the attitude of, "...if they catch me, I'll just pay the fine..." We all know those "me-first" people and we let them know they are shitheads in our own way. Sometimes we dump garbage cans full of crap on their rear lawn, other times we get the hose out on a cold day. Either way, they get the message that they are assholes and that we are aware. If we are lucky, we get to tell them they are assholes to their face.

So, whoever that poster is that insinuated that city dwellers are complicit, go fuck yourself.

And, while I am at it, all you fucks in Indiana, the suburbs and Wisconsin that come here and use our resources but call us names or throw your cigarettes out the window, etc. - go fuck yourselves too. We don't need your money.

nothing new.. The day after the big snow there was a s&S super pulled over on northwest hwy. Thought he had called cpd to drop a couple of tics to the 2 cars parked on the street still. Nope, he called a snow truck and he escorted it to unk area. U would have thought he would have had the truck plow the street since it was almost completely cleared of cars to clear the park lane, which is a NO PARK AFTER MORE THEN 2 IN street. Nope , just followed the super somewhere else. Have the spots on the street was useless. Typical Chicago way..Then they argue that u shouldn t have dibs after u cleared a spot.

No those plow guys who do the police stations have room temperature IQ’s at best.
I had one ask me to open the front sally port doors so he could drive thru n then salt the alley side of sally port.
I told him make sure his spreader was off before driving thru sally port. He nodded his head and off he went.
He drove thru sally port with spreader blazing and left about 1-1/12” of salt covering the inside of the sally port.
The poor janitor had to use a shovel and wheelbarrow to clear the salt from the inside of the sally port.
Those drivers are real mouth breathers.
