In any event, when Cline blocked it on all Department computers, our readership went from a a few hundred a day to many thousands within a week, tens of thousands within a month.

What is wrong with the new police, the department gives you a phone and you're using it for personal shit. It's not a free Obama phone and this department will monitor your dumb asses. I'll say it again, go to Walgreens and get a throw away phone. Just to give you a glue, when signing up don't give a connecting phone number remotely connected to you. I gave my Lt cell number, and department numbers. I use this phone for personnel phone calls when working. When I'm at home I take the battery out just in case and use my smart phone when not working. It seems like there's a virus going around the department for being stupid, like that goof cashing his dead mothers checks and thinking he wouldn't get caught. We are surround by merit bosses who are not the brightest on this planet; their stupidity must be contagious from what I've been seeing.

By far, the worst district for VIOLENT crime in Chicago is not 015. It's 011 on the WEST SIDE.. Madison Street splits 011 almost in half. Plenty of funeral homes. While Austin (015)) is bloody, it has only about half the violent crime compared to 011.
Check the above crime stats at the above 2 AM post. Note that 011 leaves all other districts in its dust when it comes to the frequency of all Part I violent crimes and shooting incidents. The only surprise is that 018 is a close runner-up to 011 in sexual assaults.
