Nice Bail Evans

  • Bail was set at $10,000 Friday for a 20-year-old man charged after he was allegedly seen holding guns and threatening to kill a Chicago police officer last month in a viral Facebook Live video.

Police were monitoring the Facebook account of Tavon Baylock when he began streaming a live video on Jan. 23 that showed himself and two others in the car driving alongside a police SUV in the 9500 block of South Halsted Street, according to Cook County prosecutors.

The video was later posted to the Facebook account Chicago Code BLUE and has been viewed more than two million times.

In the video, Baylock can been seen holding what appear to be two semiautomatic handguns in his lap as the officer is seen driving in a marked SUV alongside Baylock’s car, prosecutors said.
Anyone have a comparison to bail for Threats to Public Officials when the victim is an adercreature? Or a judge?

Felony threats to a judge went through bond court last year and got an I bond. Not even on electronic monitoring. That’s sounds about right for Cook County.

If you are a Skokie man who threatened a judge you get 250k bal. If you break a judge's window with a snowball you get no bail.

Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?

al·leg·ed·ly... result for allegedly
/əˈlejədlē/
adverb
used to convey that something is claimed to be the case or have taken place, although there is no proof.

hahahah... at least give the shit-hole newspaper the credit.

Wait...if CPD can already peep out his social media now, why would ILGA be making it mandatory for FOID applicants to turn over access to ISP as a qualification?

0T - any thoughts why the 2 arrested in Garfield Park shooting of a man multiple times.

- no attempted murder

- victim shot numerous times. - how come no agg batt charge per gun wound ala Jvd

- why only charged by asa with agg discharge

So much wrong with this. How would anyone feel if they were the Officer in this video being pursued and life
threatened by these four misguided individuals with their taunts and that high amount of firepower ?Then you learn the punishment is a slap on the wrist.its highly unlikely they had a Foid card or paid all the fees and successfully completed a Illinois CCL class.More gun laws? Nope.Guidence, discipline, tuff love what they havent got at home is what they needed.Bad choices, bad consequences...This behavior is unacceptable and in time not going to do these four any favors, enhance their lives or anyone elses. So why is it encouraged?Imagine having to deal with this day after day as Police Officers do.I know it wouldn't make feel so good.Chicago is already beat up from the out of control crime.(as in the video)So why is this behaviour rewarded in Chicago, Cook County ? With issues and real stories like this why this morning is a Chicago news station reporting on how long mayonaise and ketchup last in a cupboard and fridge? Why arent real issues that need discussion that will help everyone being reported on?

In other words another “Fuck The Police”.

Yet another slap in the face to the
decent hardworking CPD members who
just want to do their jobs and go home safe to their family’s.
We’ve been fucked for too long and
It’s not gonna get better anytime soon.
Finishing up my degree and getting
the FUCK out of this state.

I think the perp (peep) out is available only when said bragging, grill flashing moron hasn't made site private. Once private, then I'm believe a warrant is required. Hoping and praying this is a correct statement.

And here is a quote from the judge, “There is the possibility of an argument for free speech,” Navarro said, before noting that the guns wouldn’t have to be real for Baylock to be charged with threatening the officer. And, Baylock had faced charges in the past for incidents that did involve “real guns,” Navarro said.

Were guns and vehicles al least confiscated?
FOID cards revoked, drivers license privilege suspended?
Did AssFaceBook cooperate or will they?

KmmmFxxxUp says the #1 prosecuted case is UUW.
It’s also the most declined felony charge and most given DartJail unsupervised, easily defeated home ankle monitors.
We all know we’re this egregious act is going, even when he forfeits that Affordable Bond.

Tavion is already out and about doin the town with a new handgun and his old ride.

I had to do more than a double take when I saw the bond amount.
I thought maybe it’s a typo..... then I realized this is Crook County.

Here’s a slightly off topic question. Smollett’s bond: he’s got some money. Will the judge given him a higher bail, because he can definitely afford it, and it is a felony.

Yes he will, but it won’t matter. He will make bond and it’s a class 4 felony for disorderly conduct. WTF
Have you forgotten bond is to insure you appear in court ,are not a danger to society and won’t flee the country. They took his passport and I don’t think he’s a danger to society because he filed a false report. He will appear in county because knows he’s not getting any jail time
