This is Legal?

  • Gov. J.B. Pritzker pledged that he would be transparent about using his personal fortune to double the state salaries of his top aides in the governor's office, but the billionaire has yet to release payroll records for those employees.

Before taking office, Pritzker announced that he would supplement the taxpayer-funded salaries of key employees with his own money. For instance, the Center for Illinois Politics reported that half of Pritzker’s chief of staff’s nearly $300,000 salary would come from taxpayers and the other half from Pritzker’s East Jackson Street LLC.
And the obvious question:
  • Pritzker's use of private money to pay state employees has raised some ethical questions, including about where loyalties lie, with taxpayers or the billionaire....
Because if you don't do exactly what JB the Hutt wants, you lose at least half of your "salary" and quite possibly, the entire job if you aren't an actual government employee.

It reeks of a narco-state template where the cops are getting paid by the government AND the cartels and no one knows where their loyalties lie - actually, everyone knows exactly where they lie, and it isn't with the government supposedly paying their salaries.

If you're close to retirement juicing your friends wages is a good deal when it comes to sticking it to the taxpayer. Any other benefits based on wages that the taxpayers will get stuck with?

Richest governor in the USA ever. Uh huh. Cuz super rich people seek two things, one or the other. They seek to give back, or, gain more power than money can buy. As demonstrated here in this article, he isnt GIVING anything....

So is the $150k that the state pays this guy the only amount that counts toward his state pension or does the entire 300k count toward the pension?

Richie daily used to tell people close to him other elected officials that you have to have buffers people around you that will absorb the things thrown at you and that is exactly what JB is doing except he’s doing it with money I’m sure mayor Daley did it with money also. The money he used was most likely in the form of contracts just like he’s doing now screwing the next mayor by keeping his people in place with long-term contracts that is buying their silence and their loyalty.

(OT) interesting hey jb over here just do it here maybe it would stop the people acting like animals from getting the notoriety;

Louisiana mom arrested after posting viral video of school fight for ‘notoriety’: cops
https://www.foxnews.com/us/louisiana-mom-arrested-after-posting-viral-video-of-school-fight-for-notoriety-cops

Posting videos and photos of illegal activity on social media is against the law in the State of Louisiana.”

Would strongly that if this was enacted here crime would drop because then they would not be movie stars that they think they are how about an elected Democrats how about doing something like this? But then again of course not because you are in favor of people that do not abide by the law correct you cater to them?.

Soros financed organizations pay the salaries of at least four lawyers in the Attorney General's office. The also have Soros paid attorneys in at least fifteen other states. Witness the magical appearance of 17 states suing Trump over the emergency powers action.

This is what is known as a payoff, to keep your mouths shut. Wonder if he has paid-off his state police security detail also, that would be proper when he is showering everyone with that cash he gets since being a trust fund baby with his parents and grandparents starting the hyatt hotel chain. This guy never worked a day in his life,he bought the office but then again many other rich have done the same!

You mean like the one Countryside police pulled? They gave a $850 bonus on last check so that would be final rate of pay which is what their pension is based on. Then they multiplied the 850 by 24 because they get paid twice a month for a total in increase of $20,400
Talk about creative math

Question is was he picking up the pension payments as well?
Or is this a “bonus” to increase their income to bump up the pension payout when they leave?
No squawking from the recipients, was there?

Forbes had an article about some IL suburban police departments increasing salaries right before retirement, but this maneuver was in lieu of lower pay raises. Courts voided this practice.

The sneaky little shit that corrupt Democrat operations do, JayBae Prickster is no different.
Maybe the Fed should look further into his business tax returns because he just opened that door to attempt to manipulate pensions through his personal wealth.
