Run a Marathon??

Are you kidding?

Well, sort of.

We aren't running it, but the wife of one of our most recent fallen is, and she's almost at her fundraising goal:
  • On October 13, 2019, I will be running the Bank of America Chicago Marathon with TEAM CPMF. Please help me support the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation by making a donation through my page, and please feel free to send this page to any friends you think might be interested in donating.

I lost my husband, Police Officer Eduardo "Lalo" Marmolejo this last December, and it hurts my heart every moment of every day that I lost him and so suddenly. We met and fell in love when we were only teenagers, but we knew early on that life was going to be hard and often a struggle. We both worked hard and found ourselves relishing in life's every little moment. We never took for granted what we earned, but we never stopped encouraging each other to be the best version of ourselves. So naturally, it became our thing to set a goal after one was completed.
They did run the 2018 marathon together...and planned to run this year's event before tragedy struck. Maria Marmolejo is a mere $200 from her posted goal, but we're sure our readers can put her over the top and perhaps beyond.
