Sergeant Dragged

  • An on-duty Chicago police sergeant was being treated for injuries suffered Sunday when the supervisor’s clothing was caught in the window of a vehicle officers had stopped, officials said.

Shortly before 10 a.m., several officers and a police sergeant tried to stop a “suspicious vehicle” occupied by four juvenile males in the 5700 block of South Normal Boulevard in Englewood on the city’s South Side, according to an online media notification. It wasn’t immediately clear what was deemed suspicious about the vehicle, for which no description could be immediately provided.

The vehicle was stopped when officers attempted to get the four boys to exit when suddenly the vehicle sped off, officials said.
Sergeant should be okay. Juveniles will be released to their parents and none will face a day in the Audy home without dinner.

And again why?

Also interesting car chase in 007 today, all the way to 004 for stolen vehicle, love the boxing maneuver by the expressway.

Well, that was the first mistake.

Then, putting oneself close enough where “clothing was caught in the window”, was strike two.

The ‘Balancing Test’ needs to be applied to every facet of policing in today’s climate, people. Figure it out already. The pendulum may one day swing back, but until that (unlikely) time, F-E-T-A-L is the order of the day. Everyday.

Unless it directly involves YOU, your loved ones, longtime friends or good neighbors, you need to let things transpire as nature intends and arrive afterward for documentation purposes only.

The self-cleaning oven was here long before you arrived on scene and will be here long after you’re rendered to dust.

But the vehicle is not a weapon? Just ask the other rammed squad cars. He should have shot all four dead. But instead they will all be sent on their merry with not so much as a hand slap. After all it was only a cop dragged no harm on foul.

Sounds like too many squad cars got into his way which means too many squad cars chasing or using some kind of maneuver which is prohibited anyway. What was the chase for anyway originally?

The El-Tee made the correct call on this one, children.

He was able to immediately surmise, without even being on scene, the probable mindset of the driver and the likelihood of a catastrophic conclusion - in every aspect - had he Ok’d the continuation of the pursuit. You think he DIDN’T immediately envision you (unintentionally, of course ;-), ha!) violating the pursuit policy via “boxing in” when you clowns were screaming about him “ramming us!” over the radio?

As the BCP regularly preaches, stupid is supposed to hurt. It’s how one learns the harder lessons in life. What a good supervisor does is attempt to minimize the sting of self-inflicted stupidity by subordinates. And in case you haven’t been paying attention, that task is getting harder and harder to accomplish these days, courtesy of an anti-Police society, consent decrees, procedural/restorative justice, COPA, the ACLU, etcetera, etcetera. Oh yeah... hardheaded, immature, wanna be the “real police” who can’t seem to comprehend the magnitude of shit going horribly sideways in a nanosecond also tends to make a supervisors job much more difficult than it needs to be.

This is where life experience, time on the job, common sense and being able to tame your emotions in the heat of the moment are needed the most... things 95% of you no-time-on-the-job Englewood “rangers” are capable of exhibiting.

The description of the vehicle and occupants was known and broadcast. It was nothing more than a STOLEN VEHICLE, for fucks sake. Well, that’s all it was until an overzealous sergeant and nitwit subordinates placed themselves in harms way FOR A PROPERTY CRIME.

Once you goofs escalate an incident to the point of an officer being injured, your ONLY priority at that point is to render first aid and assistance to the injured... and with even greater urgency as it’s one of our own.

Get it through your thick millennial skulls already... this ain’t 1986 and it sure the fuck ain’t PlayStation GTA.

Best wishes for a complete and slow recovery to the injured sarge.

Read the article in the Tribune today. Said the Sgt noticed his or her vest caught on the window when the car took off. A police spokesman could not immediately say whether the sergeant was a man or a woman. What does that have to do with anything?

You're preaching to a rather hard-headed, mind-locked choir...

Again.

And again and again...

Et Cetera.
Ad Nauseam.

Et Ad Infinitum...

Leave "The Community" the fuck A L O N E!

There isn't even a plausibly salvageable
win for Policemen who deliberately insert
themselves into the community's "bidness."

Let alone when community "bidness" clogs
and overflows the societal toilet and spills
onto society's shoes.

This summer...
You will see it with your own disbelieving eyes
as society is made to dance and splash in the
stinking stuff while yelling for the deliberately
driven into a corner/hands tied firmly behind their
backs/consent decreed into oblivion Police to come
and jiggle the handle to make it stop.

But don't jiggle the handle too hard or else the
community, aided by the aclu and the media will
loudly demand that The Police be tried in the court
of Progressive & Perpetual Grievant Opinion and summarily
lynched from the hanging tree of "Restorative Just Us."

You know... The whole line of tortured, fever swamp thinking
of moving forward by settling past scores and grievances.

Heh...

Kim "Me & My Peoples/Folkses Revenge" Foxx
can run seminars on this topic which is
so dear to her shriveled heart.

No room for the "reasonable man."

He's been knocked up from the table, chased
out of the building and promptly cannibalized.

In Chicago/Cook County, reason and rationality
have been denounced as "Racist" so the only logical
and natural conclusion is that everything devolves
to such a point that "going back to the trees"
would appear to be quite logical.

Or so they want you to believe.

"Hey! Racist Cop! So what you're REALLY saying is..."

In 3... 2... 1...

Remember.
The Police are what's wrong with Chicago...

Police Like You Have No Friends.

Give the community what they demand.

Then?

Look.
Point & Laugh.
Leave.

"Y'see? Dat's why we hates y'all!"

Sooooooo??? Who gives a fuck???

If you’re trying to make a half-assed argument for apprehension of the offenders at any cost, your argument might be more compelling if the “CPD family member” were dragged out of the vehicle at gunpoint. But seeing that it was reported simply as a motor vehicle theft, you hard charging clowns that still insist on chasing any and everything that moves had better get the reality of it all through your thick skulls.

We doubt if 799 or any other half intelligent
supervisor is going to be ok with taking bigly
disciplinary licks for the antics of their
subordinates.

ESPECIALLY when you young hard heads hit "Submit"

in your asses like cheap toilet paper when you're
sitting in that uncomfortable witness chair.

Butt naked and alone on "the community" back porch
under a 40 watt bulb clutching a bowl of vanilla ice

Great.
Now we are seeing the result of (just assuming- since a Sgt with time on wouldn’t have acted so idiotically) the hairgels and millennials becoming sergeants with 5-8 years on the job.

Policing has been dead since they came on the job, but those same numbskulls that have still been recklessly chasing cars on the watch are beginning making Sgt.
And now they are “leaders of men.”

Brothers and sisters, I implore you. If your Sgt is a clueless supercop, please try to take good care of your own career, and family, and make your own good decisions. I wasn’t there, but the poster above hit the nail on the head- the LT was correct I’m terminating.
The offenders have already shown a disregard for human safety and property damage.
It was SELF-INITIATED. AKA, unnecessary.
Let it go.

If there were shots fired at the police, am on-view shooting, or some other extenuating circumstances? Maybe.
A “suspicious auto” you tried to curb that takes off? That’s a hard no.
When will we learn, that this is t a fucking video game.
Poor decisions often have poor consequences.
The LT can tolerate you being butt-hurt. Since he knows that he COULDNT tolerate seeing you jammed up for a traffic fatality and/or worse.
Did you not see that story last week about the car that took off and crashed, ejecting and killing a 2 year old girl? Because of a gun?
Great UUW pinch kid. Here’s your honorable mention......and your date in civil court.

Quit crying. Stay fetal, it’s over boys and girls.

You need to bite your tongue and respect your elders, child. Absorb the wisdom these dinosaurs impart. It’s the gospel for today’s policing, only you’re too ignorant to see it. Maybe you’ll realize just how naive you now are when that nary a hashmark on your sleeve turns into a star and some bars... if you make it that long without getting fired and/or going to the clink for stepping on your dick.
