Are There No Metal Detectors?
It's almost like the CPS Security people are understaffed, under-equipped or incompetent:
- Sixteen students were hurt when two people allegedly sprayed an aerosol bottle Thursday afternoon at Morgan Park High School — marking the fifth time students at the school were injured in an aerosol-related attack in just over a week.
About 12:15 p.m., emergency crews responded to reports that an aerosol bottled had been discharged at the school at 1744 W. Pryor Ave., according to Chicago police.
Sixteen students were found to be injured, police said. Three of them were taken to MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island and the others refused medical help.
"Aerosol" meaning pepper spray? Which comes in a metal canister? Detectable by metal detectors? And viewable in x-ray machines?
Have we gotten the police out of the high schools the way everyone in the media and community were bitching about after the two cops were injured by a little angel on the west side?

The “students” open a side door from inside, of which there are too many and too few guards to personally man each one, and which can’t be chained shut, and their scumbag friend passes the item in. OC, gun, dope, whatever. These are not secure facilities.

What are these unarmed security gauards to do if they identify a gun in the xray machine or metal detector?
actually metal detectors detect by amount of metal in one locations. you can squeeze thru pretty easy with small light weight metals. Hell when I was in school we walked thru the metal detectors every day with packs of cigarettes which have foil in them by keeping a lighter in say the pants pocket and have the box of smokes in the upper left pocket.

Turned on when entering school, via wireless auto remote control of cams, turned off when exiting school. If they want video of themselves being carjacked, they can buy their own body cams, they are paid enough.

The weather will soon improve, which means that CPS students had enough of the learning process and will be doing Anything to get outside. Expect an outcry from parents suspecting that leftover residue from the pepper spray has created a ‘toxic, hazardous environment’ for young brain cells. We demand a scrub down! Also expect ‘kids’ to walk out of classrooms in support of some topic they have no connection to -like we gonna show our solidarity to a teacher in Texas that was fired for insubordination.

Just do a search for the "Laquan McDonald Primer" put out by the teachers union. The schools are conditioning children to challenge authority specifically police. And who do the schools call after the children are fed their free lunches and they act out. The police of course. The same racist police who stereotype, profile, kill at risk youth, violate civil rights etc. The school staff always tells officers they don't want to get involved and they just want to cover their ass. Officers get all the names of all school personnel and put them on the reports. Now they are involved and you can reciprocate by covering your ass for their non action and non involvement documenting the whole incident.
I find it funny how teachers will praise the at risk youth covering for them from the big bad police. But when trouble starts teachers flee the scene faster than their students. They seem to know the propensity for actual violence from their students. Yet they still treat police officers like a foreign invading army when they come into the school.
Just read the posters on the walls at any school. The biases are apparent. That includes anti police and social justice themes propaganda. Not to mention any hint of people on non color. But lots of athletes and entertainers. True heroes I guess.

would have been welcomed .

Graduated from Morgan Park High School in 1976. It was a decent school back then. Now?
Old Retired Guy, Here Again !!! Had to chime in on this issue. In my opinion, CPS has lost control of their institutions. Check their list on what constitutes "disruptive behavior". In my opinion, they are trying so hard to be "politically correct" that they have lost touch with reality. In my opinion, teachers, security guards, and police officers, are justifiably afraid to do anything, that may be deemed, "inappropriate" to the emotional and physical well being of the student. In my opinion, what CPS needs is "The Sister's of The Mother Mary" or "The Christian Brothers". Let those, "long forgotten", educators, staff CPS of a year.
Bottom Line Is; We live in a different time now. Does that mean we have to surrender ???

All those “youths” are doing in school is playing on their phones which is insane they’re even allowed to use them in class. They coordinate their schemes with their phones during school. The teachers who cry they’re underpaid are just playing on their computers and are afraid to confront or discipline a “youth”. Morgan Park High School is not a legitimate school. The so-called students there run the show and are simply carried along through graduation without gaining any valuable knowledge to better themselves. They leave the school even dumber and less-informed just the way the democrats want. Absolutely incredible how the school is just like the movie, “Dangerous Minds” but there’s no diversity with the students at Morgan Park. Let’s see the media try to do some real investigative reporting on MPHS. Check to see how often there are fights, how many arrests, how many emergency calls for service, how often they pulled the fire alarm to get out of school, how often mace has been sprayed, how many hospitalizations and how many suspensions/expulsions.

Get police out of the schools. Let school officers roam the school and come in only when real trouble happens. No need for the increase liability of being inside the schools witnessing every shit show that takes place in some of these correctional centers, I mean schools. They don't want to see us anyway. The pepper spray containers that are encased in plastic have a metal inner container, but I believe it's aluminum. Anyway, it's not a massive enough piece even if it was made of ferrous metal. And I'm talking high-end courthouse-type detectors. The ones they use in schools, post offices, etc? As the previous poster stated, we'll just keep that on the down low...
