No One Dead Yet

  • The double shooting was the city’s first instance of gun violence reported this Memorial Day weekend. At least 11 people were shot overnight from Friday into Saturday.

Shootings spanned as far south as the Gresham neighborhood on 76th Street, as far west as Cicero Avenue in Austin and as far north as the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, where a 25-year-old man was in critical condition after being shot at a gas station.
It's also supposed to rain for a good portion of Saturday night into Sunday morning. It's amusing that the Tribune is devoting a lot of coverage to the weekend. Is it to make the new mayor look good or to blame the police if she doesn't?

Coverage for the Trib means they stay inside,
listen to the scanner, and watch it rain. Some
junior J-School intern binge watching Netflix
with one ear on the bands.

Monday Night about 8 pm.

The weather will be warmer, and everyone will have had a chance to build up a few grievances over the last 72 hours. They will also be drunk and angry/depressed because they have to start the work week Tuesday. That is when the excitement boils over.

Stay safe!

Gee i guess lightgroot's RDO cancellations were primarily to protect her sorry ass as she flounced it around the city.

Sure didn't stop the shit show pace and put several officers in hospital and at least one in COPAs not so loving arms.

Stay fetal boys and girls. When the community gathers, let them give each other dirt naps.

Anyone think this might have been planned/considered as a means to reduce crime along the lakefront by limiting access to untanned targets ? Will this help?

I can't see Lightgroot had anything to do with this, how long has this been in the works?

I was on Lakeshore Drive from North Ave to Foster Saturday afternoon. Police were everywhere, in uniform. Complete and Total saturation. However, this is no "Strategy"; it is not economically feasible or realistic in terms of manpower. Detectives in uniform were also at Redline Stations. The Budget for our already cash strapped City will not sustain this massive a deployment of police personnel, consistently for the remainder of the Summer. The first weekend that an organized group of "Yutes" challenges "Da Poleeces"; it will get ugly and the "illusion" will be exposed! And on the subject of Manpower, (Person Power, for those Gender concerned.): Why is the Police Entrance exam being given almost every six moths? Are we having Retention problems? Is there an Exodus of officers retiring before they even reach the age to collect a pension? I have watched this Department and been a member of CPD for almost four decades, and never seen the entrance exam given as frequently as it is these days! One has to ask WHY? If there was investigative reporting in Chicago, someone would FOIA the City of answers. Be Careful:"Da Whole Worhl is Watchin" Baby "G"

6:46 "However, this is no "Strategy"; it is not economically feasible or realistic in terms of manpower. " And therein lies the secret of the lefts plans for society. Culture combatants with limited capacity, give them superior rights, (the right to kill, steal, maim, burn,) and the means to distribute this mayhem with free transportation and communication. Then burden all existing institutions until they have to borrow money to keep the doors open, (or closed in the case of prisons) oh, and be the ones lending them that money, in case they get loose, you can always foreclose on them if need be. Without these issues we would already be selling beer on Mars to underage scientists. No matter where you go you have to plan for contact with this beast WITHOUT doing anything perceivable racist while you do it. I think their timetable has been accelerated because technology is at the point right now where they can be neutralized, legally with all of it being recorded. It's now or never Alinskyites, because in 5 years or less the jig will be up.

Chris Fusco and his uber leftist cop hater reporters like Matt Hendrickson, Steinberg and the rest of the scum times and crazy Dold and his band of poor excuses for reporting are doing everything in their power to kiss loris ass and change the narrative to blame cops if things go south instead of Lori. This is a planned process to saint machine girl Lori and to never ever question her. Also when is she going to take Rahm’s protection away? What about mumbles? I guess it’s payback for Daley and Rahm appointing the affirmative action queen to no show patronage jobs. She conned the idiots in Chicago into thinking she’s a reformer when she has kept all Rahm’s losers like Fathead ed, Ferguson, Carney at CDOT, Siskel, crook Michael Kelly at the park, incompetent Janice Jackson at CPD who graduated students who cannot read, and Steve Berlin at Ethics’

Back in the “60’s” the exam was given more frequently. The age limitation was also lowered. We were on the street at 20 years old working 1099. Joke at roll call was we had to wait for someone over 21 years old to answer calls in the gin mills.

WOW - hope she saw EVERYTHING and actually listened to the dirt bag's lies and respected our great CPD LEOs.

Somehow, I think this will blow back on legal CCW's. Of course no one points out that gun violence was just has high when Shitcago Chiraq legal carry was banned.

Get the popcorn and round up the usual bleeding heart liars. MSM needs some new air play.

God bless our blue

Secretly send out the dead wagons out to the hospitals on Tuesday night and keep the feral KIA count on the down low at the morgue.
LightLoafer and SpecialEd desperately need a historic 1st weekend win.
Death investigations likely to sky rocket through November unless the sour sore loser Prickwrinkle orders otherwise.

No one dead yet, but sorry, this isn’t MAGA Country so expect high returns from the uncontrollable lawless feral as usual as soon as FakeNews gets City Hall approval to run nondescript stories.

You are correct. This is desperation and not strategy in action, to demonstrate Lorie is the new "sheriff" in town and things are different now. What are the costs of this unsustainable and typical police effort for the 72 hour holiday weekend. Besides the OT costs, how about police morale, reducing police resources to the communities to the North and Northwest sides, Detective working cases - you're complaining about low solution rates, etc.

We taxpayers are being cheated of police services that we pay for and expect. Lady that's a form of theft of tax payer services. You're the Mayor of Chicago not just the Community.
