Shooting - 010, 011 (UPDATE)
- One person was shot after police exchanged gunfire with at least one suspect on the West Side Saturday afternoon.
It happened in the 1400 block of South Lawndale Avenue in the Lawndale neighborhood shortly after 3:30 p.m. police said.
The condition of the person shot was not immediately known. No police officers were injured.
010 and 011 seem to be involved.
Officers are fine and that's all that matters.

ABC 7 Michelle Gallardo did a remote on this incident and said the officers involved were placed on a 30 day administrative "cooling off" period. Poor choice of words, sounds like the police are hot heads.
The news reported last night that the offender has been returned to Satan. Darn.

That is disgusting and she should be placed on an unpaid “cooling off” period. She has already biased a jury in an inevitable civil suit against the officers involved. She should be sued by the officer for this.

Although the Tribune neglected to mention the race of the miscreant who was placed on “permanent time-out” by police - and a heart-felt “thank you!” from THIS citizen for doing that - I’m going to guess that he was a “community member”, based on his actions and the locale (and the fact the Tribune very studiously avoided mentioning his race - if he’d been white or Asian, they would have put that in the first sentence).
